Merchant 1948 Highpoint

I had never heard of this store but I particularly like their casual shoes. They are casual but also smart, can be dressed up or down.
The young lady serving me was polite and helpful even though I needed to try on 20 different pairs to find a size and style that I was a happy with.

Love love this store. Such a wonderful variety of shoes. Quirky, stylish from flats to heels to casuals. It's my one stop shoe shop. Quality is amazing. Love that they are right up on trend with overseas styling. I'm getting quite the collection. Highly recommend a visit to this store, staff are friendly and very accommodating. 🌟

I recently visited the Highpoint store and had a less-than-satisfactory experience. I purchased a pair of female heels as a gift, with the assurance that I'd receive a brand new pair. However, when I inspected the shoes, they appeared used and far from what I expected for a new purchase. The right shoe was particularly worn and not suitable for gifting.

"I had a terrible experience at this shop Merchant 1948 (Highpoint Shopping Centre). I bought a formal shoe on 9th Feb 2024 which cost me $ 250/- and wore for few hrs on next day. The glue wasn’t strong enough for few hrs and it all getting ribbed of from side of the shoe. What I’ve found is that the quality of product was so so cheapo 🤥 after I used for few hrs on 10th Feb 2024. So today I went back to shop for exchange or return, but it gives me worst expectation that I ever imagined. And 2nd they serve you so good at the time when you purchase. After that you are nothing, just a begging customer.
At the end of the complaining, they send my shoe to repair centre to fix it but I ‘m 0% sure that the problem might face again or not. The staff were futile and unhelpful. It won’t serve your expectation.
I bought lots of shoes so far and I had never experience that the shoe glue wasn’t enough to stick for few hours.
So if I wear such shoe for more than a month or a week, definitely I would accept such problems. I won’t go back to bark. But I just wore for few hours. It so so unacceptable because I didn’t pay Kmart price.
I think everyone does that.

My friend bought a pair of leather shoes n he worn it for 4 hours and after that he found out that glued n stiching came out. When he went to ask for refund they didn't do it as promised when he bought it they clearly mentioned that they will refund and do exchange for new ones but they didn't keep their promises as they mentioned before. Long story short they didn't refund and they send the shoe for repairing which is not satisfactory way of treating customers. Customer service is so bad 👎 it's my friend worst experience visiting this shop so far. So disappointed😞
