Malayan Orchid Restaurant

We booked a table at Malayan Orchid and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. It's honestly perfect for any occasion & the staff are so welcoming. We weren't sure what exactly we wanted and the staff are very good at their job with understanding meals and at suggesting which ones they thought we may like to try.

The chef making the meals needs a pat on the back, all meals were absolutely delicious and the level of detail on every single dish is just out of this world amazing!

My nephew worked here and loved & gained so much experience. So we just had to see it for ourselves & it was everything we thought it was and much more.

Went for a feed with the missus and everything was very pleasant indeed. It was a bit busy but wait time was reasonable. Staff were attentive. The main star of the show was the food; my partner is vegetarian so we only had veg dishes, but they were very flavoursome. I did see a decent amount of variety on the menu so I'd like to come back and try the other options. Highly recommended!

Thank you Tammy, what a lovely experience. The meals were very well presented, and the taste was nothing less than delicious. With crisp, perfectly balanced flavour and clean taste to the palette.

The atmosphere was perfect, The decor is easy on the eye and well-placed.

Just spent our 3rd anniversary date here. We ordered the banquet for $68 per person and a bottle of wine. It was totally worth it! We absolutely loved every single meal that came out. Andrew the chef did an amazing job! My favorite was the crab on top of curry sauce. My partner loved the dumplings. The ramen and the meat in it was so perfectly cooked. Loved the variety in the dessert. All the staff were super nice and accommodating. Tammy provided excellent customer service. Highly recommend and will definitely have dinner here again! Cheers

Recently enjoyed a wonderful night out at the newly decorated Malayan Orchid. The atmosphere, cozy and classy. The service was on point. The owner, Tammy, made sure we enjoyed a three course meal, with the perfect amount of timing between each course. The food, beautifully presented and an absolute treat for our tastebuds! Shall definitely be returning soon!

I went to the Malayan Orchid a few days ago, the first time in years. It's changed so much which seems to have divided some of the regulars according to some of these reviews. Personally I think the new owners have made a refreshing change and gave the venue a spicy new lease on life.
I ordered the "feed me for $(I forgot the exact number)" and was served some delicious plates, such as radish* cakes, fried tofu, mysterious yet scrumptious mushrooms, silky steamed egg, and finally a juicy piece of steak with chimichuri. Yum! So worth it! The waitress (possibly the owner?) was friendly and attentive as she checked if everything was okay and made sure I had enough to eat and drink. Overall, a really pleasant experience and I'll definitely be back.

Last night, my wife and I celebrated a family member's birthday at Malayan Orchid, a place I haven't visited in a long time. The experience was nothing short of amazing - the food was fresh and delicious, the service was impeccable, and the menu offered reasonable prices. Moreover, the extensive wine and drinks list made the evening even more memorable. I have decided to make Malayan Orchid my go-to spot from now on, and I encourage you to visit and savor the incredible experience yourself.

My family and I love coming to Malayan Orchid. They have delicious cocktails, fabulous food (especially desserts) and the service is very attentive. The restaurant is also recently renovated, very stylish and creates an awesome ambiance!

Malayan Orchid has always been one of my FAVOURITE places to dine here in Bendigo. And now, the owners have just renovated and the restaurant looks AMAZING! It’s so intimate and sexy now - a much needed refresh. My girlfriends and I love the new vibe, such a cool venue to sit back, have some cocktails and delicious food. The new menu is so good as well, much more of a modern Asian eatery style now - like you would normally find in melb! Staff are super lovely and the service is still very efficient and seamless. There’s no wonder why they are so busy all the time with both dine in and takeaway as well. Can’t wait to come back for my 30th birthday do in a couple of months with all my friends!

Love this place! The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The new look is fantastic and feels fresh. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

You can always rely on the Malayan for a great night out. The staff are passionate and efficient. The food is scrumptious and the recent renovation is modern and classy.

Dining in experience has always been superb here. Great food, great service and a good atmosphere for large group or romantic dinners.

Great food,service and atmosphere as marked. Extensive menu so will keep going back until try it all. Then we can start over.
Only complaint. Not open Christmas Eve or New Years eve.

Absolutely wonderful meal and fantastic atmosphere. This was the first time we've ever been here and we loved it. They easily catered for my vegan preference. The meals came out quickly, were great portion sizes and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly also.
We will definitely be back again for sure.

This is the best Asian restaurant I have eaten from there food is clean and fresh, I love it more every time I go there. Staff are always beautiful and work hard to ensure you enjoy your meal.

We have just finished the chefs special banquet . We had no idea what was going to come out and have loved every dish ,some of the dishes I would never have ordered but have discovered that they are magnificent ! The dishes kept coming and I could not believe how generous they were !We could not fit in desert So they gave us some to take home. Cannot wait to do it again with my family when they next come to Bendigo. Congratulations to the chef and the staff !
