Oval Motel Bendigo

Extremely well thought out room facilities and conditions. They have all your needs covered plus provide additional services like an aquatic centre equipped with all ages swimming facilities. Rooms are very clean and service is friendly and efficient. Located in an ideal location with restaurants nearby as well as a 24 hour pharmacy. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are well equipped with a generous amount of supplies, bedding, toiletries etc. Linen was all really nice quality for an affordable motel, nice thick towels, fluffy pillows and soft sheets. Carolyn and Gary were really friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, very close to the heart of town. Overall we were very satisfied and would not hesitate to stay again if we are in Bendigo.

The lady who greeted us at reception was awesome. She could see we were tired after a long day and offered a free cool drink. She was very friendly and made great suggestions about places to eat nearby- they even have special tailor made flyers for this. The room was spacious and beds were comfy. Huge bath towels were provided along with nice toiletries including toothbrush and paste if you forgot yours. Easy walk to pubs, oval, hospital etc Off street parking. Very quiet, even on a Friday night. Definitely highly recommend.

Stayed 2 nights and smiled the whole time. The reception staff are so friendly and helpful. I had a hot breakfast delivered and it was hot! beautifully cooked. There are a lot, too many? of cushions on the beds so you have to find somewhere to put them all when you go to bed. Ha ha! Loved our stay.

This is the cleanest hotel my wife and have stayed in anywhere…inside and out.
Whilst the room may be small it has everything you need and is quiet, dark for a good sleep and very handy to everything. Comfortable bed and new, full size towels. The owners and staff are friendly and great to deal with. 6/5…

So clean older style place, owners lovely, very comfy beds nice big towels, only complaint not much room to move around but will definitely stay again.

I was staying here due to my husband being at Bendigo Health. Jacinta helped out with a room at very short notice. How much I was exhausted, she made me feel very welcome and wanted me to have a very good rest, before the next week at hospital. The room was spotless and provided every amenity I could have hoped for a one night stay. I could not have been more comfortable, safe and relaxed in any hotel in the world as I have tonight- and I have travelled OS extensively. Thank you Jacinta for your amazing comforting voice and support for me and my husband- oh and the breakky was great too!

I have stayed there before and found it to be fantastic.
Has a charm and warm feeling about the Motel, not sterile like some buildings, staff are very friendly, location is wonderful.
I would highly recommend staying there.

Excellent place to stay if you're visiting Bendigo. Close to the Art Gallery and pool. Only 15 minutes walk to the train station. Rooms are beautifully decorated and modern and very clean. Price was right too. I highly recommend this motel.

What a gem the Oval Motel at Bendigo is! The service was way and above, the breakfast amazing, and the bed…….so soft and comfortable, to be honest I wanted to stay there and would have, only that we had a full day of travel ahead of us! Gary and Caroline were warm, welcoming and awesome.
We got the best spots in the town for the fireworks.
Rooms were clean, neat and best value for money. No complains and Will come again.

The Oval Motel is in a perfect position on the corner of View St in Bendigo. Close to all the restaurants, art gallery, cafes and particularly for my stay, the venues for the annual yoga festival. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Motel facilities were great with a microwave, cutlery and crockery provided. The bed was extremely comfy. I will happily book again for next year's festival.

First thing I noticed was the warm and friendly welcome we received upon arrival. The rooms were excellent and the amenities very clean. Location was awesome and the breakfast the following morning was value for money.

I had a great stay at Oval Bendigo Motel during my short holiday in Bendigo. The facilities were excellent for a motel, including a microwave, spoons, forks, plenty of glasses, fresh towels, toiletries and even a heated blanket. The motel was also very clean, and the owners, Gary and Carolyn, were incredibly friendly. They even provided us with fresh milk on the day we checked in. Thank you, Gary and Carolyn, for a wonderful experience!

We booked the Oval at the last minute but the experience was great. Carolyn and the other lady (sorry forgot your name) has been very nice and helpful during our stay. We didn't come prepared but they suggested for us to take a walk to see the tulips lit at night which was awesome. The room (25) had everything wanted for a 2-day stay and I observed that a no of improvements have been accommodated based on customer requests which is great. Loved every moment we spent at Bendigo and the Oval.

Owners absolutely lovely. Perfect location to what we needed. Rooms were great, worked well with our family and young children. Will definitely stay here anytime we are back in Bendigo.

Getting a phone call to ask what sort of milk I wanted in the fridge was the first indication that this wasn’t your usual 3 star motel. And there is a reward for booking directly rather than through a booking agent . From the outside it wasn’t flash but once inside it felt like walking into a friendly house more than a motel. Everything was better than you can expect. The cooked breakfast was so delicious. Location is excellent with a walk around the oval and through the park to Bendigo. Fabulous stay

Where do I start I was a last minute booking and to find out continental breakfast or beverage from the fridge was included in the price was a lovely surprise. The price is very competitive yes it is an older motel but had everything good heating and cooling, electric blankets, bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and cutlery made my 4 night stay so much better. The rooms have been refreshed with a lick of paint, bathrooms are on the smaller side but serves the purpose and showers are hot and powerful with all the extras you could need. I
All staff were lovely and good location.

Excellent property ,very conveniently located within walking distance to pubs and restaurants Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean Motel was spotless . Our room had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.

We love road trips and stopping not just to break a long drive but also to visit a new place, perhaps go to a gallery (in this case the incredible Bendigo Art Gallery) and just get to know a Victorian regional city. Bendigo is an architectural marvel, and the Oval motel is literally steps away from the historic centre, and across the road from the olimpic pool. We found the original but well updated motel room super clean and comfortable and the owners delightful. Highly recommended!
