Absolutely amazing experience! Beer garden is beautiful and green in a nice quiet area. Our steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were spot on! Friendly service :) cocktails were awesome! Have to say one of the best feeds I’ve had! Cheers and see you next time all the way from SA! Keep

We had dinner here for Valentine’s Day. The menu offered a great selection of delicious food and the service was perfect! We especially enjoyed the recommendations made by our wait staff and prices are very reasonable. Overall an excellent dining experience! 😁

Excellent food, service, atmosphere. Saw it recommended on The Age Good Food Guide and drove 2 1/2hrs from Melbourne for lunch. High quality food that was delicious. Staff were very friendly. Definitely go again.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends in the beautiful gardens. The food was delicious a small menu but well thought out covering most tastes. The Pork entree a shared plate was beautiful. A wonderful venue with great food ambiance and attentive staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Food was phenomenal and the staff were amazing. They were friendly, we had a range of meals for our group of 7 and everyone enjoyed their food. Its a cute building too!

Excellent, fantastic location and lovely atmosphere. You can eat inside or in their courtyard which is well shaded and is surrounded by gardens. Impressive service and great choice of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The Ginger Ninja mock tail tastes fantastic. Great food choices, from lighter starters or share plates through to entrees and good sized mains and of course desert. I had crispy eggplant bao buns and they were to die for. Veg and meat options within every course. Enjoy! It's across from the Victoria Hill gardens and old mine works which is a great little spot to walk through. Contains a complete old mine battery and poppet head nearby.

Recommended by a local friend, this "pub meal" was above and beyond expectations. From the oysters ( we usually don't like dressed oysters but this was amazing!), to kingfish tartare and everything in-between, well seasoned and presented. The atmosphere was lovely as well. Highly recommend this place!

Lunched here today. Staff were super friendly even though short staffed. Great menu. Something for everyone. Huge craft beer menu and good selection of wines by the glass. The beer garden deserves its top ten rating

randomly selected this pub to have dinner at whilst in Bendigo for weekend. booked online for 6 but arrived at 5.30pm and was easily accommodated to dine earlier than booking. sat in garden and service by ASH was exceptional. she was charming, lovely, funny, courteous and nothing was any trouble. we got cold and she brought out blankets for us. she lite the tea candles around us when it started to darken. meals were delightful a delishious. rump and parma were ordered and fully consumed. beer garden was sooo cosy and felt amazing to be in. will definitely return next time I'm in town again

We had a magnificent dinner tonight at this historic hotel . I’m a big fan of historic pubs and this very well renovated hotel looks splendid
We shared an entre which was a cold platter loaded with tasty meats , cheeses and pickled vegetables which was very tasty and filling
For main course I enjoyed the Butchers Cut steak which was beautifully cooked with a lovely Smokey flavour .
We couldn’t fit in pud so we staggered off into the moonlight very content that we had picked this pub for dinner.

Excellent dining experience, I highly recommend a visit.

An absolute gem! Lured in by the gorgeous old building, and greeted by warm and knowledgeable staff (our waitress could not have been more helpful or charming, and really embodied the spirit of the place). Blown away by the extensive local and international beer and wine selection, which we enjoyed out in the lush back garden. New favourite; cannot wait to come back again!

We had a wonderful evening sitting in the gorgeous beer garden, then moving inside when the mozzies got us. Great food, service, and atmosphere.

Oh my - a fabulous menu and as a vegetarian I enjoyed a pumpkin gnocchi with a side plate of seasonal mushrooms and it was divine! The beer garden was so special with a place for the kids to play while the adults had a chat.

Love the charm of this place - take a slow walk through through the entrance as the art is amazing - and yes the food and service just as charming .
