Gillian's Jewellery

I'm not good at writing short reviews, but I'll try! I stumbled upon this absolute treasure of a jewellery shop (pun intended), strolling around Forest Hill Chase shopping centre. The owner, San, and all the staff, are absolutely delightful—knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy and friendly. They make you feel like you are the most special person in the world when you walk in, and their welcome is utterly genuine. For years I've had some jewellery "dreams" in my mind, and finally I have found the right place and the right people to help me. First, San helped me design a family tree pendant, to compliment one I already had, and it is perfect! And, for around 25 years or more, I've not been able to wear my engagement ring because it had worn dangerously thin. Now, I've finally fulfilled my dream, to have it remade as it used to be (but better!), and it is as stunning and sparkly as the day my husband first placed it on my finger. My wedding ring has her partner back. It's brilliant! I'm excited for future projects.Thank you San and everyone at Gillian's Jewellery; you are beautiful souls!

We were looking for a wedding band to match my engagement ring, as the initial jeweller retired. We had a meeting with San and her jeweller who knew exactly what we had in mind and how to match it to the first ring. They managed to give us exactly what we were looking for in just a few weeks. Very happy with the result and thank you to San and her team! An easy recommendation to any of our friends and family.

I can’t thank San and her team enough for the excellent customer service and exquisite work that went into creating a pair of pearl earrings for me as well as converting a diamond bracelet into a pendant. I had envisaged the pendant somewhat differently but San explained why it wouldn’t work as I had imagined it. San however showed me what could be done and the outcome was magnificent! San and her team are always very polite and happy to help with anything from minor repairs to creating exquisite pieces. Gillian’s also has many different pieces of jewellery ready to purchase, ranging from modern to more traditional. I will definitely make Gillian’s my “go to” jewellers. Thank you San and team!

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff who know their stock and are always happy to help. Plus a real jeweller, the lovely San, in store who can help with anything from repairs to a perfect new design!

Every piece is carefully selected by the jeweller to be of the highest quality and I always find something unique that you don’t see everywhere.

Absolutely amazing customer service and lovely staff! My fiance got my engagement ring custom made with Gillian's Jewellery last year, and the ring was so beautiful! We came back to get our wedding bands here as they were very experienced and professional, and San was super helpful. We wanted the bands custom made but had no idea what we wanted, and San really took her time to patiently go through the styles and explain to us the pros and cons of each types of bands, and asked how we envisioned it. It turned out perfect and exactly how we wanted! Thank you so much San! Highly recommend!

Thankyou to alice and Dee at Gillian’s for such amazing service today. I had a couple watches to be fixed and they talked me through the process and fixed the issue within a couple minutes and would you believe only cost me 30 bucks for the 3. They are amazing to deal with, will greet you with a smile and I left the shop feeling not only that my concerns had been resolved but that i had a great experience.

I got my wedding band custom made here. It was very lovely and was a lot better than I’d expected. The service was very professional and the boss lady, San, was very patient in explaining the pros and cons for each individual type of jewellery and design. It was 8 weeks ago I stumbled across Gillian's beautiful Jewellery. I popped into the shop and asked if they could set an Aquamarine stone that I'd purchased overseas and make it into a ring. It must have been my lucky day! Met San who is truly an artist she designed the most amazing piece in memory of my mother. The craftsmanship is exceptional it is a stunning piece which will become an heirloom in our family.

I’d lost one of my diamond hoop earrings and she redesigned the one remaining into a bar setting on a stud/butterfly backing. I missed my hoops so much that I was very resistant to the new design, but once I put on the earrings I was completely taken back by how stunning and comfortable they are and since ...I’ve forgotten my love for hoops.

I don’t often do reviews but felt compelled too for Gillian’s. I have bought some beautiful jewellery there. The staff there go above and beyond in helping. They also have repaired some of my jewellery. They have also designed and made one of my necklaces as the original piece was outdated. So in short, I can highly recommend this store.

As a customer of Gillian's Jewellery (and someone whose mum has been working there for 8 years!) I cannot speak highly enough about the staff.

I’ve bought earrings and bracelets for my girlfriend and she loves them. There’s so much of Gillian’s jewellery in my family now and the quality has stayed amazing long after the sale.

We go back for maintenance and redesigns and it’s the trustworthiness that keeps us shopping time and time again.
