Sake in Double Bay maintains the culinary consistency that the brand is known for, delivering a reliable dining experience. While the food remains on par with expectations, the service, unfortunately, doesn't quite match the attentive standards set by their Rocks location. Despite this minor hiccup, the menu continues to impress with its unwavering quality. The ambiance and presentation are consistent with the Sake brand's elegant aesthetic. While the service might benefit from a touch more attention, Sake in Double Bay remains a go-to for those seeking a dependable and satisfying Japanese dining experience.

I had the pleasure of dining at Sake restaurant with the family and it was a delightful experience. We opted for the set menu to try a variety of dishes and the food was absolutely delicious. My favourites go to the kingfish and salmon shio yaki. If you're a fan of Japanese cuisine, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Went to Sake and it was a lovely intimate dinner. The staff are kind and helpful. A recommendation for a dining experience with private rooms.

The service was excellent they engaged with us on a personal level and was genuine, so the recommendations of the food was tailored for our liking! The food was fantastic as always and always fresh and presented exquisitely!

This place always has exceptional food and service!
A little on the pricey side however you know you are getting value for money.
One thing I did notice was that the dessert sizes have become considerably smaller which is a shame.
Overall, it is great food and atmosphere!

Sake DB is absolutely the best place to spend a great time. The food is so beautiful and delicious. The freshness and flavours are extraordinary. Customer Service is superb. Drinks....wow... amazing! Lunch or dinner, no doubt, Sake DB is a must.

Saké is exactly the kinda place you walk past and think "this looks so good"! And it is definitely worth it. It obviously isn't so so affordable but on special occasion it is the perfect choice. A loooot of options, even for vegetarians. Some things are better than others, some aren't as good even tho very pricey. But it doesn't take away the fact that it is a great place. The food is still very well presented, tasty and flavorsome. Totally good for either a romantic dinner or a family/friends dinner. There's also room for special events.
And the bar seems to have lots of options as well👌🏽👌🏽

Sake is 10 ou of 10! The seafood dishes were fresh and delicious. The “dragon egg” was one of my favourite deserts of all time. The service was absolutely on point with the timing of delivery of dishes being perfect and the staff was super attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back.

Very approachable and delicious Japanese food. I would really recommend the salmon sushi!!! The service was so good - they accidentally gave us fried rice instead of steamed rice and made the dish free!

Probably one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. Offers some of the best Japanese food. The popcorn shrimp entree is definitely something that anyone should try, I don't eat any sort of fish and I enjoyed it. The Wagyu strip loin is incredible, very pricey but incredibly tasty. We had the green tea kit Kat and dragon egg dessert, the kit Kat was really good. The dragon egg is something on another level, seems like such a complicated and incredibly tasty dessert that it almost justifies it's high price. Definitely going to be coming back here.

A total must visit and each Saké has a slightly different menu to explore. Staff are attentive and fast as you’d expect from a premium establishment, while the food is delicious on every bite. Favourite dish is the Wagyu main followed closely by the steamed prawn dumplings. Make sure to book as this place does pack out. Great date or celebration spot!

Thank you to David and the Saké Double Bay team for looking after my partner and I on Sunday night for my birthday. We both got the Chef's Dégustation as it was a no brainer and each dish went beyond expections. We've tried pricier dégustations where perhaps one dish didn't hit the spot, but everything at Saké was truly wonderful. We also really appreciate the attentiveness of all the staff and the courtesy call the day after.

Delicious food and drinks & rockstar service! We celebrated our anniversary at Sake and honestly had the best time, food and drinks were so quick and tasted amazing and the service was absolutely flawless. The beef tataki, salmon tacos and pink blossom are a must!!! Would recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely venue for any type of celebration. Thank you so much for making our night even more special, cannot wait to be back for more!!!

Had dinner here with 3 others on a Saturday night.
In summary, we had quite a few sharing dishes, one main, quite a few sides, a cocktail each and a shared desert and paid under $100 per person, very good value for very good food!

The highlights as far as food goes are of course the popcorn shrimps!
But I would also highly recommend the beef tataki, beef skewers and the dragon sushi roll.
Great experience, great value for money!

As to be expected from a restaurant that regularly gets a Good Food Chefs hat, the food here is simply delicious. Make sure to have their famous dessert too, the dragon's egg!

Wow beautiful food the sushimi was so fresh The staff where very Friendly we walked in and straight away they came to us even they looked very busy but still they came up to us sat us at a different table because they where just Setting up our table we sat down and we started off with beautiful cocktails wow
Then the waitress asked what’s the special occasion we said we got married yesterday
So for Desert she got us this beautiful little cake
Then we ordered

Super fast service. Friendly staff. The food is divine, really fresh and nicely presented. Gets pretty busy after 6pm. Highly recommend this japanese restaurant. Can easily find parking on the weekend. Will definitely be visiting this place again. 👍
