My partner’s decade long insurance policy issues: the fact that when we moved house and she changed her address with them, it took them a year (and her telling them countless times) that they still had the old address listed as the garaged address- which made her premium higher. THEN, it took them MONTHS & many emails and phone calls from her, to refund the money they had overcharged. Communication was definitely lacking.
She’s recently canceled her policy with them, and when she did, she was told that she was due for a few hundred dollar refund, never came- so she emailed and rang to query this- was then told that she’s not actually getting a refund. THEN, she gets a letter in the mail a day later (but dated well before her conversation with them yesterday) stating that she owes them $40. Could’ve/should’ve told her this on the phone, and should’ve had your facts straight before telling her initially that she was getting a refund.
All in all, she’s very glad to have decided to change to a new provider, reckons she should’ve done it long before now.
