Great little place to visit with kids here. Some fun activities to accomplish with a book and clues to follow. Animals to see, peacock, dog, lamas. You can go up one of the small light houses.

Lots of original things left as they were for many years to see.

Visited Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village today and we were awed by what the museum offered. We had a great time walking around and taken many pictures. Very surprised to see some animals, like the alpacas too. Good place to visit if in Warranmbool.

Great historic place. Highly recommend the tour that starts at 11.30 am. Our volunteer, Glenda, was fantastic, with great knowledge, and made the tour very enjoyable with her personality. Pathways are mostly sealed, but there is a hill to go up.

The 1hr tour guide was well worth it, enjoyed all the local history . The tea room was reasonably priced and the best cheese and tomato toastie .
The evening light show was well organised and definitely worth a visit, staff were very polite and friendly.

Ana amazing museum with a lot of history. You can spend 2 to 3 hours going through all the exhibits and the various buildings in the village. The staff dressed in the historical costumes are amazing and knowledgeable.

Love love love this place! Brought my 3 young kids here and they enjoyed it. They stop at every houses and took in all the little details. I love how they presented Warrnambool history here and definitively will come again. We took 3 hours to explore everything.

This place is located within Warranambool City. And the admission is less than $20. First, you can see the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum which is home for the story of the Shipwrecked coast. There you can learn the history of the wrecked ship specially the Loch Ard, the ill fated ship. And then you can enter to this amazing village. There are two lighthouses and you can climb to the top of one lighthouse which is the first one. There are so many nice places to visit inside the village and history to learn. It will take around 2-3 hours to complete the whole village and don’t forget to visit here if you visited Warranambool. It’s just a 3 hours drive from city.

I went here in the same trip as going to Sovereign Hill and I've got to say that this is WAY better and 1/3 of the cost. For a $19.50 ticket, I spend a good 2 hours here walking around and looking at all the different buildings. I could have spent longer if I had the time to properly read all the museum signs and watch the original footage in the theatre.

It was really wet and windy when I went but I was rugged up and it was still enjoyable. Being wet kind of adds to the maritime feel 😂

Great sound and light show! Great family viewing and special parts that I won't give away and spoil for other attendees. Informative and we went during the day to look at the village, it was very quaint and the kids as well as us big kids lifted the pulleys etc. It was a nice outing while we were in Warnambool. Tour guides were very knowledgeable about the area. Would totally recommend.

Really interesting and quaint. The tour guide did a great job informing the group about the sinking of the Loch Ard and its two survivors. The little village contained various buildings including workshops, a dressmaker shop, sweetshop, a church and tearooms to name a few. One of the lighthouses was open and we could climb up to the top to a great view of the bay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Well worth a visit

A great place to spend a couple of hours. The Village is well set out with a mud map to find your way around.
To me personally the Loch Ard Peacock was something to behold. I first saw it at Expo 88 and wanted to learn more. So pleased to see all the information around the wreck.
Highly recommend this wonderful experience 👏

Interesting place to discover with all the interactive displays and great array of objects placed in context. With one entry you can come in an out of the complex for the entire day.

'Tales of the Shipwreck Coast'

Beautiful experience, this should be on top of your to do list when nearby.

If you go to the light show, you will have an idea how village looks like during the day.

They have invested some decent amount of money, ticket totally worth it.

Went with stroller, path have big pebbles which makes stroller little uncomfortable but its only short walk.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in town! I recommend the day and night package, which includes the informative light and sound show on the lake. It's like travelling back in time!

Excellent displays and insight into Warnambool through the years. 3rd time we have visited in the last 5 years and the new displays are worth the visit. The light and sound show is a must do when visiting.

What a sensational place to visit when in Warrnambool. The tour guide around the place has the best stories. You're allowed to walk anywhere you want and there is even little stores to visit like a lollysop and tea+scones cafe and even a chapel for the religious person. We got lucky with the weather being spectacular but can imagine even on a cold winter's day this place is worth the stop. Budget a couple of hours to see everything. There is a massive carpark for tour buses too.

The dogs were so cute. That's a reason alone to visit!!! Great place even without them though
