Followed gps but main gate is closed. So, had to go around the back street to access the park.

Beautiful walk with nice lookout. Was lucky to spot some kangaroos, butterflies, and echidnas. Overall was a good experience!

A well kept secret in Melbourne’s inner north. A steep walk to the viewing platforms but boy, what a fantastic view of Melbourne and the city. On a clear day you can even see Port Phillip Bay. It’s breathtaking! Say hello to the local kangaroos who come out to greet you at dusk. Highly recommend for fit people.

A great place to do some exercise or a morning or evening walk and be close to the nature. It hosts some stunning city views and sure to spot Kangaroos in the grass.

Good quiet place, great sunsets.
Quite chilly and windy at top, bring a jumper.

It's good to keep dogs on the leash. You never know where the kangaroos are.

I love this park and don't mind riding my bicycle for some 20 kms to get there from where I live. The park infrustructure is limited to gravel paths with some signage so be prepared to avoid disapointment. The only map is located at the parking lot shelter, off Gravlier Way, so it's worth to take a picture of the map. There are three lookouts, the best being the Eagle Lookout. No powerlines at this point, only great views towards Kinglake NP, the Dandenongs and the suburbs. From Eagle lookout there's a very steep path leading down to Highpoint Drive. Lots of kangaroos at any time of day.

Greta place to bring your family out and overlooking the houses of south morang gets even better if you like hiking. Overall, suggested place for picnics, sport related activities and walks in general.

Great views, very steep climb, shame about all the motorbike riders ripping up the grass and chasing the wildlife through there and tresspassing through Boral property though. Poor Roos were terrified. Very upsetting for the kids to see 😔

I love this place very much. It is one of the best places for hiking in the Northern suburbs. With many beautiful hills to conquer and overlook the Melbourne city nearly 360 degrees, this place has stolen my heart. As a result, I have visited this park many times. Additionally, this park is one of the easiest park to spot kangaroos. Soaring shelter offers the best view of the Melbourne city. Eagle lookout and Granite Hills park are also really pleasant for hiking. Absolutely recommend this park for a visit.

A short (up and down the hills) hike. Very nice views - bring a bottle of water and a jumper (can get windy).
There are 3 resting spots you can have a snack or so.
Walking beyond eagle lookout becomes a narrow path so not for everyone.
