Lovely place to visit with the kids, food was very well prepared, great coffee, clean and tidy.

Very professional cafe. Excellent greeting. Excellent menu. Espresso good. Good energy and vibe. I have found the other cafes in Mt Evelyn to be unwelcoming and blasé. For a small village in such a great location on the rail trail, the other cafes in Mt Evelyn seem unwilling to put secure bike hoops near or in front of their shops. “Park it across the street over there”. Benches yes. Tables and chairs yes. Signage yes. Bike hoops no. Subway the only exception - but … Subway. So this place is the best option in Mt Evelyn I think.

Great food in a simple and cute cafe. I was hoping to see some horses but I guess the timing wasn't right.

Food was SUPER FRESH 🍃😍 The mushroom is absolutely amazing 👍🏻 Freshest mushroom and spinach I’ve ever had in Melbourne so far. Highly recommended!!!

Friendly staff, seriously quick service, quality food, nice outdoor seatings right next to a trail which is perfect for a walk after a big brunch. Thanks for serving with some tasty halloumi avo toastie, yummy wet chai and really big breezy burger, it was delicious and coming back for more. 🙏

Lovely place, lovely staff and lovely atmosphere. Very nice. The only feedback, the chips where a bit too salty and they should include some lunch items on the menu also, not just brunch and breakfast. But that's just because I'm not a fan of breakfast food.

This cafe serves the best hot chocolates in the world. I've had hot chocolates from all around the world that pale in comparison to the simple brilliance of the Trail Cafe's hot chocolate. The only negative about their hot chocolate is that I can't get it anywhere else. 11/10

I love this place! Best atmosphere with friendly staff and yummy homemade treats!
i love the new menu, especially the chilli cheese and granola bowl!
They also have yummy focaccias, the lamb one is really good.

Lovely little place on the Lilydale-Warburton trail. Not a very extensive menu, but good food and good coffee, and some nice vegan treats.

I give them 5 stars because they have one of the best homemade sausage roll, chips and burger in Melbourne . They are absolutely fantastic!
Atmosphere is just right , staff are very friendly , price is right.
Can't wait to come back and try your steak sandwich next time.
P.s. they are easily drove pass and ignored unless you are cycling or walking along the trail next to them . In which case, you have absolutely missed out one of the best bakery/cafe in Melbourne .

Best breakfast variety and snack. Healthy version of desserts available.

We arrived on a drizzly morning damper than we wanted to be. Staff were amazing, and the chocolate & coffee were restorative to say the least.

Another convenient stop for coffee on the Lilydale to Warburton rail trail. It's very close to the start of the trail so we only stop here for coffee and small muffins which is very good!

A good place to go if you are nearby. Ample parking space and indoor and outdoor seating area. We ordered mocha, which was really good. Kids' playground available too.

A most excellent cafe, nicely situated in the early section of the classic Lilydale-Warburton rail trail. They're typically open on public holidays (10% surcharge applies), which is very appreciated. They have a few trestle benches with umbrellas near the main road, and more seating inside and out back. The tropical smoothie is my favourite. Great to see them using metal straws, too. Overall, a great vibe.

I have never been to a more fun cafe!! My kids are on the playground and then sitting there drinking coffee and along comes three ladies with there horses!! I can imagine some mum's might not like that BUT ME AND MY KIDS thought it was the best thing ever!! It just about made our holiday. (We live in QLD AND were there for the Australia day long weekend)

We called in 30 minutes before closing buy they were happy to cook us eggs Benedict and lovely peppermint tea (leaf tea in a pot!). Being coeliac, They used gluten free bread for mine and we sat outside with the dog. We'll come again.

Awesome coffee, brilliant service, great kids play area (inside and out) and although I didn't take my horse, I would be happy to take him there in the future because the yards looked safe and secure!
The food was super tasty and the ladies were warm and friendly.
My mate and our kiddos will definitely be back!! What a gem of a place this Cafe is!!!

This quant Cafe, located at the entrance of the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail is just delightful.

I had the best Breakfast burger I have ever had in my life. Perfectly balanced with just enough Bacon, Egg, Crispy Hashbrown, cheese and a unique blend of sauce.

The staff were friendly and made my Easter break just that little bit extra special.

Great food. Fast friendly service. Great place to bring kids.
