Josephine's of Noosa

Poor Customer Service:
I went to Port Douglas last weekend with a girl friend for a nice tropical holiday for relaxing, some shopping and hanging out by the water. We went into Josephine's of Noosa and were reasonably impressed by the swimwear collections and selected a few to try on. I was browsing when the shop keeper came up to me and said unfortunately as I had sunscreen on, I could not try the swimmers on. As a sun-smart traveller, yes I have done my precaution. AdmittedIy was unaware of this particular etiquette. It was not the fact she notified me that was upsetting but it was the way she dealt with it. She said she wouldn't want any "problems", said that I could not try the swimmers for the remainder of the day and just took the swimmers from my hands and walked away.
Not having any luck with this, we went to another one few shops down. Obviously we accounted the same situation. But this time, the shop keeper did not chase us out. Instead, she was empathetic with our disappointment. She suggested she would keep the selections that I wanted to try at the counters while I go out for lunch and wait for the sunscreen to be fully absorbed by the skin.
The end results? We bought a couple of vibrant coloured Seafolly swimmers and had a great time at the shop!
Customer Service at the end of the day is about making the customers feel they are valued.
