Had a wonderful experience at the Cafe in the Mountains. I ordered a mocha and the beef burger that came with super crunchy and delicious chips. All the food was awesome, and the mocha was the best I have had in a while. The wonderful views and atmosphere make it a very enjoyable place for breakfast or lunch.

Busy little cafe, and for good reason. The Haloumi Burger is fantastic, the coffee is just right, and the thick shakes are superb. The yogurt & aioli dip is great with the fresh chips too. Thank you.

A beautiful location that's always popular. Gorgeous views and relaxed guest seating areas.
I asked for a special request item to be made (due to my food allergy needs), and they took my health needs seriously, and were very friendly and accommodating.
I wouldn't ask for something off menu during peak hour service times - not because they couldn't handle it, just because they're super busy and the cafe can get really full. I recommend to go during an off peak time when the locals show up, there's time for a chat, and the atmosphere is relaxed.

A great spot to stop while you’re doing scenic Sunday drive or in between some of the fantastic hikes around D’Aguilar National park. The food and service is great and the atmosphere is amazing with all the feathered friends. It can get busy at lunchtime on the weekends.

Beautiful little spot in the mountains. Plenty of sitting area and glorious views. Seems like family owned with smiles and friendly people. We had a few vegetarian options for lunch and they readily suggested and helped us over. Nachos, fries and milk shakes for kids. Watch out for friendly and some naughty kookaburras if you are eating out in the open. There is an old piano which the kids just loved for the 1 hour we spent there. Enough parking on site for a out 10 cars.

What a little gem!
We popped in here on the way to a hike to get something to tide us over. The food was amazing and a really cool atmosphere.
Below is a pic of the halloumi quinoa salad and the halloumi burger… and the caramel slice… that we couldn’t resist scoffing. Honestly the best caramel slice ever (gf too!)

A definite must stop visit and enjoy the great food and location. The view off the back balcony is stunning while you eat and drink your coffee. Sarah went above & beyond with accommodating us with our meal. THE BEST Poke bowl ever. Sarah is very personable, knows the area very well, runs her business very well. I couldn't fault it in any way if i had to. I look forward to my next visit to this lovely Cafe in the Mountains. Thanks again Sarah.

Wonderful for a weekend breakfast. Stunning view from the back deck. The quiet punctuated by bird calls. Nestled in the forest but easy to find and there’s plenty of parking. Great food and rustic mountain vibe. Family friendly. Lots of outside seating areas.

Went out for a motorbike ride with my Dad and sister during a public holiday a bit ago, and we ended up driving past this place which to our delight was open and decided for a pit stop. I can confidently say that I will definitely be coming back here based on my first experience!

The atmosphere of the place was warm and cosy, which was perfect for the cold day we were experiencing. The staff were incredibly friendly and sweet, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance. I particularly loved sitting on the couch by the window, very eclectic vibes.

As someone with dietary requirements, I inquired about vegan and gluten-free options. The menu was limited but that's understandable, and I was very appreciative that they were more than happy to accommodate me. I ordered the poke ball and although they didn't have one of the ingredients at the moment, they offered a substitute of sweet potato crisps, which was absolutely delicious! It was such a yummy, comforting, and filling meal- beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh, avocado perfectly ripe and the rice, edamame and sweet potato were nice and warm. My sister and Dad opted for the burger, and they were thoroughly impressed, I quote: "You can tell the food was made with love!" We also had two milkshakes and an almond milk latte, and let me say that almond milk latte hit the spot on a chilly day!!

It was a delightful way to warm up and enjoy our time together. I highly recommend this place for its welcoming atmosphere, accommodating staff, and scrumptious food. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Drink a pot of tea and read a book!
This quiet little corner is absolutely the best place to have breakfast, have a pot of tea and read a book. I had the green omelet and asked if they had chili or siracha. they have hot sauce people! Great service. A few motorcycles came through but it didn't scare the wildlife nor me. This will be one of my new favourite places in the country.
