Owen from Studio 53 Art & Surf Culture gave so very generously of his time, effort and resources. He was quite simply the best! His artwork is of the highest calibre and he was so lovely to work with.

I love this place! There is so much diverse talent on display at the Gallery. I picked up an amazing print that I am hanging in my lounge. It gets so many compliments. Owen has done an amazing job curating this space. Well worth a visit!

We've had Owen do a couple of murals for us. Totally amazed with our artwork and Owen's cool approach to his work. Would highly recommend anyone who is keen to check any surf art to visit Studio 53.

What a brilliant gallery with the most amazing collection of surf art. It’s a place where you can spend hours admiring the talents of so many local artists. They are also very generous helping local charities. Curator Owen Cavanagh is a top bloke and great artist, so make sure you catch up with him for a chat.

Owen's Studio 53 is a totally unique art gallery experience.
It's a surf art space which is packed with superb surf, and ocean art from local artists.
There are workshops available and semi regularly themed shows in one half of the space.
If you want to but any kind of surf themed or ocean themed art ,this is your space..

Took some Melbourne friends here & what a place! Ended up spending a couple of mesmerising hours here.Owen took us through all the amazing pieces of art. Ended coming away with some awesome pieces of individual art. Loving the handplane using it at the local shorie. Well worth a visit.

Owen is one of the true gentleman of the SC. Local surfer local artist and local local. His talents are the envious of many and anyone who’s anyone knows his work. Highly recommend him. A bloody good bloke and very talented man.

Owen airbrushed a rolling surf painting for me in 2018 & used a recycled timber for the hardwood frame. His original work caught my attention at Ten Toes Brewery. He is very talented with his painting and sculpture art.
