Well despite what some others may say with their negative comments, I think Kickback Books wonderful. Great range, great prices, great owner/manager
Kickback Books have been looking after me for 5 years now & I don’t go anywhere else for my reading pleasure.
Whatever the price, reading is still one of the cheapest & most enjoyable of methods of entertainment.

I have been buying second-hand books at Kickback for years. Karissa is a joy to talk to about your taste in reading, she always has good suggestions and will keep a sharp eye peeled for you to set aside books you may like. In this age of mass culture, it's nice to wander into new literary experiences at a slower pace. Support your independent bookshop and have a wander at Kickback--you won't walk away empty-handed.

I have been buying books from Karissa for my little home library for years. This is without a doubt my favourite shop on the entire coast and I make sure to pop in whenever I’m around Mooloolaba. There is always a gem to be found and prices are always reasonable. Karissa is just the loveliest soul and her passion for literature is infectious.

I received the best service from the lovely owner. The book I was searching for had sadly gone out of print years ago. Without hesitation, despite it not being in her shop, she helped me find the book I wanted to gift to my dear 84 year old dad. Her attention to me the customer was exemplary! A rare find these days!

Lovely owner, I'm new to reading and the owner was extremely helpful to help me find what interests me.

Small second-hand bookshop (no, they don't buy books, but will exchange). A good spot to drop in when it's raining - no, the range isn't vast, but you might find a gem or two.
Was pleasantly surprised by their 'literature' stand (on the right as you walk in).
Found some William Golding that wasn't Lord of the Flies, and this is the thing: at Dymocks or QBD, if they do have great authors, it'll just be the same 'greatest hits', so to speak, over and over again.
You'll find Crime and Punishment in every bookshop in Australia, but very rarely The Idiot (except when I'm there... badoom-tish!).

Sometimes it's only in book nooks like this that you'll stumble across something that only gets printed once every 20 years or so, but is, nevertheless, worth stumbling across.

I would have given six stars but at no stage during my visit was I informed that there was, or even could be, a 'bookshop dog'.
This item was no-where to be seen on my visit; nor was there any information about times and bookings.
It's too late now. To find out about this only via social media is, quite frankly, embarrassing. I'm afraid I can only give five stars and maintain an overall 'excellent' rating, while it might have been 'stupendous' and seven stars (depending on the dog, of course).
Disappointed.
But still amazed, you wonderful humans.

One of the only places we found in Mooloolaba to buy books. They have a good range of preloved books in good condition and reasonably priced.

I found this gem of a book store on my recent trip to Mooloolaba and it changed my holiday. I found it from google reviews and I wasnt disappointed.

Went in early Sunday morning. The gentleman working there was very polite and helpful. Great selection of classic books. Was hoping to find a copy of Hemingways, the old man and the sea. But walked out with three other classics that I was stoked to find instead. Great little store will be back

A great little bookshop with friendly staff. The books and shelves are well laid out and topics are fairly easy to find.

This book store is fantastic. I made 2 trips there already. The lady at the front is very impressive how passionate and knowledgeable she is. She gives you a great advise if you are like me not sure about the choice.

Great bookshop. Friendly and knowledgeable owner and team. We always visit when we're in Mooloolaba. You can check out and buy some of the owner's wonderful artworks too. Highly recommend this little gem of a shop.

The young lady at the store was excellent. After asking my daughter some questions, she picked out a book for her which my daughter can't stop reading. Great range. Looking forward to going back.

A really good and neat store with a lovely seller, a clear system and a Lot of second hand books. And the best part is: once you're done reading the book and you don't like it you can give it to the store and receive some credit for it to use for future purposes.

You worked on the 13.02.2021 in the shop. Blue eyes, a red dress. I thought I can forget you, but obviously I can’t. I‘m travelling in Australia and went to Fraser Island. But I did like to meet you. The way our eyes met each other, is the way I can’t forget.
