Canungra Show Grounds

The camping is absolutely neat and the staff is very helpful and friendly. There's lots of different places to stay, a lovely place to swim and a nice communal area. It's one dollar for 3 minutes warm shower, but it's also already amazing to shower cold! We stayed here for 6 days and highly can recommend this camping 🙏

New caretakers are awesome, amenities spotless and ground very well maintained. A huge improvement since I was there last.
Since I was last here, there are new caretakers, haven't really interacted with them, so can't make any comment. There does seem to be confusion over the cost per night though. Currently the ground is VERY wet and the spot I was allocated was nothing but mud. Although this is a,good, and popular camping place, with the right caretakers, it could be even better. Unfortunately my three night stay has been marred by noisy P Platers who were parked next to me, LOUD music just after 6 a.m., and,generally,noisy when they were in the kitchen, to top it off, they came back to their site at 3.30. a.m. It seems no-one has spoken,to them about how to behave.

Great location, 15 minute walk into town, good sized camping blocks with multiple, spotless facilities. Service at the office was great. Nice, clean snall river to cool off in.

Love camping here. Good sites on grassy spots or rocky sites down by the river. Kids love playing in the river and having an open fire at night. Camp kitchen has a microwave to sort out a easy dinner. Lots of room to ride bikes around.

A great place to bring your caravan or motorhome. Canungra Creek flows just behind the Showgrounds and is very picturesque. Very clean amenities and grounds.

Wonderful big showgrounds, powered sites and unpowered sites near creek, nice big camp kitchen and amenities block. Very friendly staff also dog friendly. Lovely mountain range surrounds the showgrounds and lovely and peaceful. Good rates. Just make sure you have extra long hose and leads as power boxes can be faraway depending on were you set up. Call to check for sites as was very busy when I was there..

We visited the CSG in late February 2023. Our club held the rally there this year, and our family had a great time. The ground is spacious. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice facilities, the $1 hot shower is so worthy because it’s hot and is a long hot shower ! We had a swim in the creek and we loved it. We will come back there to camp definitely 💯

Stayed here for Australia day and made it a long weekend. Had a van site in the show ring area. Great customer service and checking in was easy.
Just make sure you have an extra power lead as the end sites are a fair distance to the metre box. The managers helped us out by lending us an extra lead.
There were a lot of caravans in the ring but there was little noise and really quite of a night.
The creek has a good size swimming hole or if you prefer to just cool your feet off there are a lot of shallow running areas to paddle in. It is dog friendly as long as you keep them on a lead.
The amenities are nice and clean with great hot showers.
Town is with in walking distance or a short drive there are several coffee shops and specialist shops worth a look. Also has a great little pub.
I highly recommend staying here a visit.

Great little place for a long weekend or a 1 night stay over. Close to town easy access to the Gold Coast.

Love love love this place, came a few weeks ago for 1 night passing through. Our traveling show and plans have changed so we thought we would come and stay for a few weeks while we do the Mudgeeraba Agricultural show. Big call out to Jess, thanks for accommodating our traveling crew 🙏💖

Awesome location, close to town with pub, shop and playground. Great swimming hole and camp area right next to the water. Power and water available for some spots others bush camping. Open fires camp oven cooking. One of my favourite spots

The showers are wonderful. Hot water. $1 for 5minutes. Clean and functional.
Very friendly caretakers.

Even caught a peeping tom fat possum watching us shower in the roof eaves. Was a good chuckle. 🤣

Was recommended to me by a good friend. I got a prime site next to the creek. It was good to see the turtles in the water and the thousands of fruitbats flying off for feeding. Campers were woken up by the wonderful sound of various birds. This site is absolutely perfect for young families. Ablution was clean. Also wonderful to see a wide variety of dogs enjoying themselves. The campfire was a real tonic, and I went home relaxed and refreshed - that's what camping is about! Reception was super friendly - thanx!

Went for a swim in the creek with the puppies. Rather busy but beautiful location. Lots of shady trees, easy parking and kids had a ball swimming. Wonderful place - would love to come back and camp.

The caretakers are excellent and take great pride in looking after the showground.

Amazing spot.
It's better than some Caravanparks we have been to.
It's a big space with lots of shade and a lovely river to swim in.

It's supposed to cost $1 for 5min hot shower but it worked without money for us.
Also $1 for BBQ which work long enough to make nice bacon and egg rolls or big steaks.

The kitchen has nice seating area and is equipped with toaster, kettle, microwave and BBQ.

We have been here for 4 nights ($15 per night per person) and even it was quiet busy the restrooms have always been clean.

It's nice and central to Gold Coast, Themparks, Springbrook and Mt Tamborine.

We will be back next time we are around this area for sure.

Absolutely loved this place. The managers bent over backwards to help and were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was ever too much hassle.
The amenities were spotless and well kept.
Will definitely be back and if you’re on your travels make this a stop.
