Kristin is a gifted Bowen therapist and teacher of Bowen Therapy. I have learned a great deal from the two training sessions I have attended so far (face-to-face and online) that Kristin has conducted for the ongoing education of other Bowen therapists. Kristin’s style of teaching resonates very strongly with me. She is humble, kind and gentle, and makes effective learning a pleasure. Having completed my Bowen Diploma with Kristin as my instructor I can say that she is a very professional clever and caring educator. I learnt so much from her and will continue to have her as my instructor in the future.

Kristin has been my instructor for her online course the Shoulder Complex recently, and many other courses. The online course was a way of learning that I really enjoyed. It was informative and I learned a lot. The presentation was first class by Kristin. It was delivered in a very professional way. I would do one a month if they were offered as I got so much out of the class. also being that their was all ease around staying at home to do the class. Very amazing learning space to be attending. Kristin treated me for a sore back, neck and shoulders. Before we started she pointed out some important problems with my posture and how I can work on correcting that. The course of three treatments was super relaxing with immediate results that continued to improve over the three week period. I'd never heard of Bowen treatment before but now I've experienced it I've been recommending it to everyone and will definitely be back to get more help from Kristin's healing hands when needed!

For me the difference between a ‘good’ therapist and a ‘great’ therapist is whether they are insightful and intuitive Kristen has both these gifts. Kristin has been an instructor of the Bowen Technique for a few years now and I have found her to be a great teacher, easy to understand, patient and willing to answer any question.
There is always a good atmosphere and I always learn something new. I am amazed how she provides so much information not only through the CEU courses but through sites like Facebook and this new Google site.

For anyone that might be scepticle about Bowen Therapy. I am testimony as to how amazing it is. The results I have had from my treatments with Kristin have been astounding. I can't speak highly enough of Kristen, both as a trainer and practitioner. She has an incredible wealth of knowledge and a rare ability to engage students in fun and informative classes. She gives 100% to each, individual student making us all feel confident in our study and practice no matter what size her class. I have been visiting Kristin now for a number of years with various ailments all with great success. Last year I had a badly sprained ankle that was swollen like a balloon. A couple of moves by Kristin saw the swelling reduce dramatically right in front of my eyes, I physically saw it reduce!.
More importantly though, recently I was diagnosed with 4 bulging discs, which were creating pinched nerves. I had tried everything but the pain continued to persist. 3 weeks ago I visited Kristin and since have had a treatment weekly. I am so pleased to announce that I have had my first pain free week in 3 months. Kristin is a expert therapist who can really bring long lasting pain relief; thank you so much Kristin.

My name is Joanna Carter, and in 2008 my husband Gordon Carter was diagnosed with
Parkinson’s Lewy Body Disease & Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), this is a rare,
degenerative neurological disorder affecting the body's involuntary (autonomic) functions,
including blood pressure, breathing, bladder function and motor control. He has been
admitted to hospital on several occasions because of having MSA and more recently a fall. I
managed to get Gordon home after two months of Palliative Care.
Gordon had very little mobility and required total bed care for three months. After six months
of ongoing care, we managed to regain a small amount of mobility and increase his food
intake.
While caring for Gordon I injured my sciatic nerve causing pain and discomfort constantly
for a period of two months, requiring medication to manage the pain. When I was at my wits
end, and unable to control the pain, I decided to try Bowen Therapy, as Gordon was an
advocate for this therapy, and had regular treatments prior to his illness. I must admit I was a
sceptic, but after one treatment found myself off the medication. I then had three follow up
treatments and found the issue had resolved.
In March 2021 I booked Gordon in for a treatment, which gave him relief from some of his
symptoms, and when asked if he would like to continue the sessions, he replied “Yes”.
At present Gordon has been having biweekly Bowen treatments and I am amazed at the
improvement observed week by week.
Firstly, Gordon’s ability to walk improved, his balance and foot placement were better,
making it less likely for Gordon to trip or have a fall. He became more alert, able to
communicate a little better and had an increased overall sense of wellbeing. His
independence became more obvious; wanting to participate in activities that he had not
attempted for a long time, such as moving around of his own accord, wanting to help me with
chores around the house and be more interactive.
I am still very cautious, as I do not want Gordon to fall and have any setbacks, but I do know
he gets frustrated as he feels well and wants to do things for himself, so where possible I
allow him to try and do things for himself.
With Gordon’s showering, he now can stand holding rails and is able to assist me on
occasions with his personal care. My carer who assists Gordon a few times a week, has also
noticed the change in Gordon’s mobility since having regular Bowen Therapy.
Bowen Therapy has made such significant changes in Gordon’s life, who knows what lies
ahead, but for now Gordon’s quality of life and wellbeing have improved, and we have only
had positive outcomes thus far.

I started visiting Kristen sometime back after discovering the benefits of Bowen Therapy through another source however I find Kristens approach professional, friendly, knowledgeable and she is very passionate.Not only does she do wonders with my 46 years of netball damaged knees she relieves all of my aches from continual driving and stress. She is a world of knowledge and her advice is always beneficial to my recovery. I began with weekly visits and soon no longer needed such frequent visit as Kristen rectified my injured knee and the rest of my body that had suffered from my limping. I continued pain free with mostly free movement and began back walking fast and long distance and only made periodic visits for treatment. This continued for sometime until I put my body back under stress by moving furniture alone. I am having regular treatments again and with each treatment my body is relieved from the pain and I gain movement with each session.I highly recommend Kristen and don't hesitate to express to others how much she has assisted my recovery when Chiro, Physio and doctors treatments did not give me relief for long periods.
