The Family Court process is very challenging with a minefield of obstacles, but Fidan Shevket was able to achieve the best outcome possible at the time without enduring further delays and expense. It was a result that brought peace, stability and security for my son. He had been caught in the cross-fire of a bitter dispute.

During the process, I felt that the Court appointed Child Lawyer and the Mediators were against us but Fidan persevered. Even though the Mother was being dishonest with the Court on many issues, Fidan stayed focused and didn't get sidetracked. Despite the Court being incompetent on our hearing date, Fidan and the Barrister were able to squeeze out a good result in negotiating a settlement.

I thought the mediation processes were a waste of time and money. They achieved nothing. Unfortunately, it is impossible to avoid these sessions as they are imposed by the Court. It would have been better if we could have gone directly to a hearing. But Fidan did her best to speed the way through these delays.

What you need in a Family Lawer is two things : realistic advice based on a wealth of experience and a commitment to keep fees to a minimum.

It's too easy for solicitors to promise you the world, without letting you know that to achieve your aim you'll have to spend every cent that you're fighting over.

With Family Law you really can't take any chances with someone who isn't a true Family Law specialist as there are so many variables. You need to speak to someone whose advice you can really trust. That person is Fidan. I've spoken to so many people who've regretted their choice of solicitor, as they were given false hope, wrong information, spent tens of thousands and achieved nothing, could get no answers or real advice, had to wait days for a response, or felt that the solicitor hardly knew their case. I had none of this with Fidan. Every question was answered promptly, I received excellent advice, she knew exactly who I was and where I was in my case (despite only being involved for a relatively short time - compared to most Family Law matters). She knew my Judge and how best to present the case to him and in all ways was supportive and realistic.

I got exactly the outcome I wanted, in a reasonable amount of time with the minimum of expense. Listen to her advice and that's the sort of outcome that you could achieve too.

Fidan is the kind of lawyer that you go to when you've been let down by others (which wasn't my case, but I have referred other friends to her in that situation). Save yourself the bother and go straight to Fidan.
