Couldn't be happier after getting my Prado fixed by George. The old Prado had lots of issues. One major problem was that the engine had been overheated due to coolant being leaked into it, and then subsequently lost compression. The Toyota guys couldn't do anything about it other than suggesting me to replace the engine. Luckily a friend of mine recommended me to see George. I was so glad that I did. With all the work that he put into redoing the engine, my car was revised and given a second life. While doing so he found ten more other problems and fixed them all and all these were done within my budget.

Being a mechanic knowing how to fix a problem is one thing, and knowing how to find out where/what it is/causes the problem is another. George is exactly the master(Shifu) who knows both.

Thanks again George!!! I am gonna drive this car to see my brother at Rockhampton this Easter.

I have been getting my car serviced here for about 8 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. This is a garage I feel I can trust!

When I was first getting my car serviced as a new driver, I was nervous about getting ripped off or not understanding what was being done. However, George and the team have always been happy to take the time to explain things to me, give me a quote in advance when requested and always call me if they are going to do any additional work.

When I moved out of this area, I took my car to another shop and was told a whole bunch of things needed to be replaced or repaired. I brought the car in to Gladstone Road Garage and they were honest about which things actually needed to be replaced and which didn't, saving me hundreds of dollars for unnecessary work.

George and the team have also been happy to help with "silly" little things. For example, I got a new pair of taillights and on one side I couldn't get one of the bulbs to click into place. I gave Gladstone Road Garage a ring and they were more than happy for me to bring the car down on the same day for some help.

Even though I don't live in the local area anymore, I still always take my car to Gladstone Road Garage for servicing and wouldn't hesitate to take my car in if I experienced any issues as well.

I have been going to George's garage since early 2000's and now so does my extended family. He and his team are reliable (they have been with him the whole time which says a lot too) and have provided consistently good service at fair prices. I also get pre-purchase advice from him. George and his team have been wonderful in helping me get my car ready to transfer over registration after moving states. I was kept well-informed throughout the whole process and George and the team were very friendly and professional. When I finally changed my plates over and was frustrated to find they didn't fit, I called and they were able to immediately help me, and get my new plates attached. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend George and his team- after years of taking my car to the Audi dealer mechanic I trialled George and found him so much more honest, reliable and better priced. There have been many occasions where George could have charged me exorbitant prices as I have no knowledge about mechanics- but instead he has checked the car and given me honest feedback, sometimes even turning me away and I end up not paying! He is in high demand but once the car is booked in it comes back quickly. Best mechanic I have ever had.

These guys are AMAZING! The team are so friendly and professional and they will NOT rip you off, they just tell you what your car needs and will give it to you at the best price they can, no fuss. This place offers a great service. The staff is very qualified. Besides George always provides a detailed report of the things that your car needs. So based on that he will give a price for the service.

I have brought my car here a few times within four years and they always have done an excellent job.

Although you need to make an appointment to have a service, George also helps when you have an emergency with your car.

I have been using George's Garage for several years after a referral from my local workplace. I initially took my car there to do a diagnostic comparison to what Kmart was telling me needed doing. Of course, it was totally incorrect.

I have had my car serviced by my car makers own dealers and by another large repair place in the gabba. George, the guy at Gladstone Road Garage, picked up that I had been driving around on illegal tyres, which the others had completely missed. This would have invalidated my CTP insurance had I had an accident before this got picked up. I will never go anywhere else. Wish I could give him six stars.

George and the team work at the highest standard of good workmanship, great customer service and are highly experienced.. If the vehicle is sent out to another contracter eg Windscreen, I know they will make sure a good job is done. I am confident they would never leave me drive away unless I have a reliable roadworthy vehicle. When it is time to let go you loved old vehicle, George is honest in offering advice re dont spend any more money on this car.. Time to say goodbye. Great service, great people and great work..

Like many of the other reviewers on this site I have been taking various cars I own to George for over 25 years. He has ALWAYS been scrupulously honest, doing his best to find professional yet affordable solutions when my financial circumstances have been tight. He is a great mechanic and a lovely person and completely honest. For all these reasons I will remain a loyal customer for as long as he is involved in this business/

Was recommended by a friend to take my Patrol to George and his team for diagnostics. A lesser business would have taken advantage of me and racked up a huge bill, but this team are looking out for you, not profit margin. Fair, and well priced. You can talk to him like a person, not a salesperson. I would recommend someone like George to anyone who's been handed expensive quotes from crooked dealers or garages.

I wish that I had gone to see George a few months and a few thousand dollars ago. He is wonderful would highly recommend him and know others that do also.

I had recurring overheating issues was at other mechanics every few days over a few months. Went to George and a few hours and hundred dollars later seems the issue was resolved. The after care is great he asked me to call and let him know how it was going and the previous mechanics response to my problems was it’s costing us money.

I have been a customer of George for more than 15 years and for professional competence, friendly service, integrity and value I could not recommend a mechanic more highly.

He has serviced all my vehicles in that period and I still go to him at Highate Hill even though I moved from Woolloongabba and now live in Logan.

This is because the first car I sent to him for service was purchased cheaply from an owner who said I needed to get the brakes repaired urgently as they are unsafe. I relaid that information to George when I dropped it off. I returned in the afternoon and met George fully expecting to pay a substantial bill only to be told ‘you don’t own me anything. The breaks were fine. Someone else has fixed them’.

The point is that George could have charged me for the repair and I would have been none the wiser. He wouldn’t even take money for his time and effort in the investigation. At that point I determined that George was to be our mechanic for life. Since then I have never queried a bill, in full assurance that I was dealing with someone who I could trust implicitly ... and he has never let me down in competent performance or value.

I've been a car dealer (Sydney) for over 30 yrs and I know the difference between good and bad mechanics. When i relocated to Brisbane it was tough trying to find a mechanic i could trust until George was recommended to me. Definitely worth the recommendation.
