The Bavarian The Barracks - Permanently Closed

We went at a quiet time and it was great. Very beautiful location with almost the entire side facade covered under a huge shady tree. With the dim atmosphere it's a very relaxing place to be ( but I heard it can get very crowded at night ). Very nice typical German food. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Will definitely go back again.

Easy to find location. Nice ane clean environment. We went for the All you can eat wednesday, the food are great! I love the pork belly. We ordered for one round of refill, we ate 4 plates in total (7 person). The sides were amazing too! The waiter/waitress did come a few times to check how we like the food. How nice of them ☺

Great place with great selection of beers. I haven't had a Lowenbrau for such a long time and they have it here. Local and German beers.

Love their burger Thurs where it's only $10 and for $5 more, free flow of fries.

Dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner before the Broncos game. The pork belly was awesome! Great service, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back again.

I recently dined at the Bavarian at Petrie Terrace and was served by Ana. She made sure we were happy with our meals and made the experience above par. I will definitely be dining again soon.

LOVE coming to the Bavarian! Whilst the food is wonderful, it's the service that elevates this restaurant. The servers are friendly and management are fantastic, even under the strain of things going awry. It was just one of those nights out of their control (don't you just love it when the internet goes down!), yet they remained friendly and so accommodating. Will be back!!

Ate here for a pre-origin feed before the game. Food was filling, chicken schnitzel was the pick! Good for people watching from the deck as the crowds descend on Caxton st. Reasonably priced for the size of the meal 👌

Great food, good service. 2 hour parking only a short walk away. However, from what I could tell, there were limited dietary options.

We reserved a table but as we were at a movie and we looked like being late, so dent a text.
The restaurant manager replied, sent us a menu and we ordered in advance.
When we arrived we were greeted nicely and our order was confirmed, but no pressure to be served.
We ordered a wine and enjoyed a very nice meal (it hadn't been kept under IR).
The portions were generous and well cooked.
Great service.
Will definitely return and recommend.

Been here twice in a week now, first time had the Big Knuckle and last night ordered a couple of belly pork burgers plus chips for $10 each!

Really can’t fault the staff as they never leave you stood there like you’re lost and very helpful and polite when serving you. Staff deserve so much credit!

We dined here tonight for my birthday and our experience was amazing! The food was great!! Our server Kaycee went above and beyond for us, she is an asset to your company, do anything you need to keep her on staff.

It just so happened, a mate of mine and I had a 3 year reunion from our European travels. The last time we saw each other was in Munich, Germany at Oktoberfest. As my mate was continuing travelling, I made the decision to take his lederhosen home with me and reunite him with it in our next meet. Introduce Covid!!!

So 3 years later, I found myself in Brisbane the same time as him. We organised a catch up and came up with the plan for me to bring my lederhosen and make a day of it.

We set off from my hotel on scooters and scooted to what we thought was the Bavarian. On our arrival, we discovered it had been shut down for renovations. This was a blessing in disguise. We scooted on and made our way to the Bavarian Barracks.

On arrival we walked in and didn’t see too many people inside. Not letting that bother us, we made our way to the bar and were met by friendly staff and given our first stein. It went down like lolly water.

When it came to ordering the second stein, it was here that I met Kasey. Kasey stole the show. Her brilliant customer service skills and bubbly personality made her such a beautiful person to deal with. Kasey took the time to sit down, have a conservation with us and make us all feel so welcome. At this point, I no longer cared how many people were in restaurant, I was there til stumps because of how good Kasey was!.

Kasey was the reason we stayed. She was so polite and 100 percent professional in her role in delivering amazing customer service. Her beautiful smile, courteous behaviour made her the absolute beautiful human being she was and is the sole reason I will be returning.

I thoroughly recommend to anyone to hit up the Bavarian. You won’t be disappointed! 5 stars!

Always such good food and meals. Staff are friendly. You can also pick the songs to play. It does get a bit noisy during peak times and with functions but always a good spot for a decent lunch and a good feed. The sweet potato fries and schnitzel were great.

We had our engagement party here under the big tree and it was great. Booking was super easy and the team accommodated our large group and requests. The team were super attentive as soon as we arrived and the service was quick all night!

Great experience, a but expensive but the dishes were very good. Nice lunch deals we had the roster pork had a very good flavour, different than the one you make at home and the weissbier delicious. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Parmy was good, chips good and the beer awesome. Next time I will take the 82 package German beers and meat for 2 hours. But service great nice and friendly staff. Will be coming back with mates and have a proper session.

The food is always delicious and I love the space and the cozy environment of this Bavarian. I've been there recently and Ana was really lovely and courteous with me and my friend. I'll definitely come back!

This is a great place to go if you were looking for pub food. It has a good selection on the menu as well as tap beer. It also has a got an area to eat in as well as large indoor dining area. The food was good with good service.
