The Baker's Duck

Bought two Snickers Croissants at Saturday's markets. As this has been my only interaction with The Baker's Duck, I cannot rate the actual bricks-and-mortar store, nor the range of products inside its walls.

That being said, the croissants were pretty special! You're well-and-truly talking premium price (2 for $21) but, for that, you're getting a premium product. The two croissants probably weighed more than a generic loaf of bread, were loaded with everything you'd expect from a Snickers bar (lots of chocolate, lots of nuts), and tasted awesome. I actually cut mine in half, that's how dense and filling they were.

In summary, if the actual store is filled with items of a similar quality and flavour, then I'd happily visit to try them out.

This isn't your normal "meat pie and a snot block, thanks mate" bakery.
Exceptionally high quality flaky pastry items to tempt you here. And excellent coffee.

I had the Pork, Sage, and Apple Sausage Roll. It was no joke. Flaky, buttery pastry. Flavourful meat core. Probably the best sausage roll I've had for ages.

Because there were no snot blocks, I went with something even better: The Strawberry Cheesecake Danish.

I was chocka-block after those two, but made space for the great coffee.
All up I spent about $25. No regrets.

The BEST croissants I ever had ! Surprised me on my first order with STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE DANISH, orange chocolate pastry(the French style one) and citrus pastry.
Full taste, hierarchical, crunchy and buzz me up the feels like xoxo with the pastry Lol

Had a delightful experience at the Baker's Duck around 10 am. Short queue and a cozy atmosphere. Staff was super helpful. Tried the Strawberry Cheesecake Danish, Quiche, BLAT, Latte, and hot chocolate – all scrumptious! Convenient street parking too. Highly recommended!

Such a cute little cafe, very popular so teeny bit of a wait. Lots of tasty looking treats, freshly baked bread, and delicious coffees. Very cute vibe

Provides excellent Crossiants and sausage rolls and pies ,pastries and sweet treats
It’s very popular and often times there’s a long queue out the door waiting to be served! But be assured that the wait is worth the time spent

Got there ahead of the morning rush, had a fantastic selection of pastries including easter themed ones and the coffee is great.

The coffee was perfectly unsweet (mocha) and paired absolutely perfectly with the strawberry cheesecake pastry I purchased. The vibe is perfect and so was the service and the food. Totally worth a drive up from Brisbane!! Will be back!

Omg seriously if you have not tried , than you better hurry up and get in there , delicious pastries sweet or savoury and it always looks as yummy as it tastes.

Great bakery, great service and amazing food if you haven't gone and in the local area your missing out I had a flate White with the vanilla creme brulee and it was incredible.

Fantastic fresh pastries with unique flavours. Lovely fresh coffee, including beans ground for your needs on request. It's a busy place, as there are often queues....but well worth a visit!

Everyone up the hill know that the Duck has the best pastries and coffee around.

I visit Toowoomba each fortnight and always stop in.

That the pastries change each week is great, so always trying something different... Never disappoints

Absolutely adore it, a genuinely delightful pastry. The long black coffee is unquestionably tasty. Additionally, their selection of cakes is simply divine, with each slice offering a heavenly blend of flavors and a moist, fluffy texture that brings pure joy to the palate.

If you’re travelling by Toowoomba and don’t stop by Baker’s duck, you’re doing yourself dirty...

Almond croissant is top tier, I think I like it more than CJ at Kangaroo point (which is easily superior to a lot of other almond croissants in other Brisbane joints).

Pies are good- wow that steak pie.
The chorizo danish we had was good.
I have to mention that their pastry is very very good. Everything was G O O D good, except for maybe the coffee (coffee was ok).

Make a pit stop!! This is the kind of place people (who aren’t morning people) get up in the AMs and drive 1.5hrs from Brisbane for, just to get a nice selection of diff pastries. It’s worth it!

When we venture to Toowoomba, we almost always go here. The best pastries by far and well worth it. Not cheap but very high quality. Flat white is $5, well above Brisbane prices. You can dine in or takeaway. Seating inside and outside. This time we devoured these delicacies, strawberry cheese cake for $8.50. Yummo. They hang flowers from the ceiling and it makes an interesting decor. Sorry for the poor photo.

The Pastries is very good, love it. It is a must try place if you are at Toowoomba. Will not be disappointed.

Really good bakery. I totally recommend this place😁 the ice coffee is so perfect probably the best ice coffee in town. The pasties are delicious and look appetizing😋 would totally recommend this bakery, it’s very successful.

A very unassuming little place that a Toowoomba local took us to. Be prepared to stand in a queue, as with all the best hidden gems, but my oh my it's worth it!!! Incredible pastries to satisfy any sweet or savoury tastes, great coffee and fabulous service. Loved it!

Closest to my workplace. Big fan of their muffins. Always so fresh and full of flavours. Chocolate croissants are a must try.

Fantastic sausage roll. Love a servo sausage roll but so opted for the one they had that looked INSANE and it didn’t disappoint. Loaded with flavour and flakey pastry. Worth a try to treat yourself. Inside the restaurant was lovely also.
