What a wonderful day! I highly recommend the scenic flight and boat trip. The staff was exceptional throughout, making it a fun and enjoyable experience. I met some incredible people and had a great time spending the day with them. It's a fantastic way to meet people while traveling solo.

My family and I came on our 3rd Northern Exposure tour today aboard Jammin with Kurt & Jesse and what an adventure packed, fun filled day it was. This tour NEVER disappoints, the crew are always amazing and so good with the kids. Jesse was a ball of laughs, Kurt was great and also helped my daughter overcome her fear of snorkelling which she was so proud of and I was so excited to see my very first turtle and be able to swim alongside him! We were even lucky enough to see some dolphins as well. It was great to see Oak again who was our deckhand last year. Thank you crew for yet another wonderful day of memory making! We will be back again soon no doubt!

The Frosts from the Gold Coast

We brought our parents to Whitsundays and used Ocean Rafting for the Scenic Flight & Northern Exposure Tour. Booking was super easy!
The day itself was amazing! From start to finish Hayley made everyone comfortable and super involved. She was super fun and also very caring for those that were scared of the water.
Scotty was also great and made the ride itself super fun but felt incredibly safe all the way through!

Brilliant tour everyone is so kind. I was on whiteout with Kurt and Macey (moo). Start to finish they had us laughing and kept the whole vibe positive. Both very knowledgeable of the local area and passionate about what they do. The snorkeling was fantastic lots of fish and turtles. View points stunning and not to difficult to walk to. The beach unbelievable white sand clear water. Definitely book this tour!

This tour is so much fun and a great adventure for the whole family! We went on Joy Ride with the wonderful Jess and Dave, we saw turtles and lots of beautiful fish, the water was amazing! The scenery is absolutely stunning! The lunch add on was also great! Also really loved the loud pumping tunes, the whole boat was singing on the way back! 10/10 Fun day! Thanks Guys!

Always a fun time with Ocean Rafting! This is the third time we did a tour with the team and it was once again super fun. Kurt and Daisy were incredible, they brought the energy and jokes on the day and made sure we all had the best time despite the tricky weather. They really do it all - from driving the boat (very important) to photography and reef education, what more could one want? We highly enjoyed being on their boat and it's safe to say they deserve a raise!

This was such an amazing solo adventure thanks to the very experienced guides - Eve, Jess, and Taylor. We went on the Southern Experience to Whitehaven and got lucky to see a pod of dolphins and a couple sea turtles. Snorkeling was made easy based on the clear instructions provided. And the rafting was so much fun - filled with good tunes, and lots of speed 🚤💨🌊

Not sure the other boats had as much fun as we did… but I highly recommend this tour!

Ocean Rafting - 27 November 2023

Hands down one of the best experiences available! We had a fantastic crew with fantastic energy, big thank you to Kurt and Emily on Thrilla for keeping up the good vibes and for really making this day unforgettable.

We choose the Northern experience for the snorkelling focus and were very lucky to be blessed with amazing weather, and wildlife. We saw a variety of fish as well as TURTLES!

The Hill Inlet walk was amazing! I was anticipating much more of a hike to get to the spot you see so many amazing photos of but it was so quick and easy, perfect for any ability.

The boat trip to each spot was an experience in itself, it was fast paced and the views were amazing! Very skilled skipper with some little tricks along the way.

Overall, we had the absolute best time and will remember this trip for a long time. Can’t wait for the next adventure.

My husband and I had a great time on our trip today! We had a beautiful boat ride and saw some whales in the distance. Our first stop was hill inlet/ white haven beach (so beautiful) and then snorkeled at two different locations. We saw a turtle, lots of vibrant coral, and loads of beautiful fish. Kate and Benny were excellent guides— some give these two a raise… Or at least a beer. Thanks for the great experience!

We had the most amazing day with Ocean Rafting! We booked the boat and scenic flight package and it was the best decision. The boat tour in the Whitsundays was awesome and the funny crew (Rich and Kal) made it even better. Flying above the great barrier reef was also an unforgettable experience. It is for sure our highlight of the trip to Australia. Don’t miss it!

This was our second time with ocean rafting and it did not disappoint. We did the Southern lights tour, it was amazing. You will not be disappointed. Our guides Tom and Callum were awesome. Our girls (9, 12) loved the thrill of the boat ride. I can’t pick a favourite part of the day because it was all my favourite - from racing the other boats, seeing the beautiful islands and snorkelling the reef. Ticked every box. The girls want to go again tomorrow!!

This was my second tour with the company my first back in 2014 and it was just as good as I remember.

My girlfriend Monika and I did the fly and raft northern exposure tour and all though the conditions where not great with insane rain we still really enjoyed our day

We had Bernie and Taylor aboard Joyride and they wer amazing !!! Both a world of knowledge about the reef and Taylor was especially funny with his jokes through out the day. Food was good the day was topped off by lamingtons and fresh fruit on the way home

My husband and our two teenage boys were out with Kurt and Richard on board Thriller today! Weather wasn't the greatest with 35 knots hitting us, however the guys made sure we were safe and most importantly had fun! A bit of a change of plans in the itinerary, but nonetheless we had a ball! Lunch provided was great also! Thank you so much for such a great day. We will definitely be back again!!

Absolutely 5 star experience!! My parents and I had an amazing day and we all loved it!! Driver Tom was friendly, high energy, and gave clear instructions. We went rafting with Heath and Jesse (hope I spell their names correctly and sorry I forgot the captain’s name). The whole crew was nice, friendly and thoughtful. Really appreciate Heath assisted my mum and I snorkelling, both of us can’t swim but we were still able to enjoy snorkelling and the amazing view underwater with Heath’s help!! And both of my parents can’t speak or understand English that much but they still feel how friendly and enthusiastic Jesse and Heath is:> Also the captain gave my parents instructions that was written in Chinese so they can read and follow. Again, we really loved today’s trip!!! The view was breathtaking and worth to take everything to protect it. Thank you for all the staff from Ocean Rafting!!! Will definitely visit again ₊⁺♡₊⁺

My family spent the day with Taylor and Tommy on Joyride at Ocean Rafting. Snorkelling, Bush-walks and an exciting boat ride were just a few of the enjoyable experiences you get with choosing Ocean Rafting!

Taylor was amazing, one of the best tour guides/skipper and part time comedian we have all ever had the pleasure to meet.

Tommy was kind, alert, informative and made sure everyone was safe and having fun through the whole experience!

Forget all other reviews. This is the one for all.

I have been on this tour (Northern Explorer) for three times now. 8 Years ago, yesterday and today. And there is not a single thing I can complain about. This tour is simply THE BEST TOUR in the Whitsundays (if you are up for some action and snorkelling).

Not only will you experience Whitehaven Beach and anchor in the beautiful Hill Inlet for lunch, you will also experience the most lively and colourful, amazing reefs in the Whitsundays. In the last two days I saw turtles, lemon sharks, rays, angel fish, parrot fish, yellowtails, tons of coral, moon jellies, more coral and literally thousands of fish I have never seen before.

It may be possible to witness the beauty of the Whitsundays and the reefs on other tours too. But what you will really miss out on is the adventure of surfing the waves with 600hp bringing you up to 70 km/h while blasting music and just having tons of fun with the other guests and the amazing and lovely crew! There is no other tour which will make you feel this thrilled, awed, happy and adventurous. This is not a cruise, this is a wet, wild and fun ride through beautiful scenery with even more beautiful people. I cannot recommend this enough. After doing the tour yesterday, my wife and me went straight to the office to book it again for today. This is how good this experience is! You just want to do it over and over again.

Now some hard facts:
You will see Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet and two varying snorkel spots (depending on tides, wind and current) and of course all the beautiful Islands and beaches on the way.

If you want to get lunch from Ocean Rafting it's 20 AUD. Otherwise bring your own.

Stinger suits (highly recommended during the stinger season) cost 8 AUD for a day.

Drinks onboard are plenty. You can buy them and just pay it all at the end of your trip. If you bring a refillable water bottle you can refill it for free.

It does not matter if you haven't snorkelled before. The crew is lovely (as I said) and will assist you. Though you might see a bit more of the reefs if you are an experienced snorkeller and good swimmer.

What not to expect:
A super chilled cruise on the deck of a slow boat where you can just sunbathe all day long. If you are looking for that, this is not the tour. I would also not recommend the tour for small children. They just won't have fun. I have had people over 65 in my boat though. And they loved it!

If you are looking for a bit of a thrill, a fast ride and some breathtaking experiences, that leave you exhausted at the end of the day but still wanting more, this is the tour for you!

Last but definitely not least:
Tom K and Emily as well as Oak and Max on (obviously the best boat) Jammin, you guys made our last two days as memorable and perfect as they could be. We wish you all the best and hope you can share your passion for marine life, the Ngaro and the Whitsundays with many more people!

An absolute must! We had the best day exploring the Islands and untouched beaches. Out tour hosts Max and Scott were fun and entertaining- we are truly grateful for such an amazing experience 🫶

This was hands down the highlight of our trip! Our guides Kurt and Daisy were an incredible duo who made the day even more spectacular.
The vibes were high all day, everyone on the boat were constantly smiling and the duty of care from these 2 legends was so appreciated. We have 2 young kids, 10 and 5 and I think they’ll be talking about this day for a very long time.
Kurt even encouraged my 5yo to snorkel as he was very hesitant and he absolutely loved it!
I can’t recommend this tour and these 2 guides enough.
They definitely deserve a raise😏

My cousin and I, booked for this tour Because we want to visit whitheaven and see some turtles and shark, we manage to spot 2 turtle, lemon shark, stingrays and a lots of fish.
I highly recommend this tour.
