Thundercat - Red Cat Adventures

A great day out with an excellent crew. I felt relaxed and in good hands for the whole trip.

The spots and scenery were particularly amazing. You'll never see so many beautiful fish and coral in your life!!!

The lunch was also very good.

The only negative was that the in board water didn't taste great and was very warm. But that's understandable and I'm not sure what they could do about that.

Remember to bring some sort of bottle to refill as they don't have cups or bottles.

I went on the Tongarra day sail and it was one of the best experiences I have ever done. We took a boat ride out to the reef to have a go at some snorkelling which was amazing. Seeing the vibrant colours of the reef and all the different fish was incredible. I hadn’t snorkelled before and Patrick made me feel safe and comfortable, giving a short briefing beforehand. We then took a short boat ride across to a remote beach where we were led up to a beautiful lookout before chilling on the beach and being left to do as we please. Plenty of time for photos!! I feel on trips like this, one of the most important things is the crew onboard. Jakob and Patrick were great. They have a great sense of humour, can have a laugh, but also can be serious and professional when required. They allowed me to kick back and relax the whole day and I wasn’t worried about a single thing. I highly recommend this trip to everyone. What a great experience I will never forget.

What an absolute cracker of a day. My Wife, Nephews and I had a spectacular day. From the moment we were greeted by the wonderfully warm and super professional staff till the time we Disembarked, our trip was amazing. Seeing amazing beaches, spectacular views, unbelievable marine life and beautiful coral we were so blessed, despite the poor weather Ian W and Ian W still managed to showcase what the amazing Whitsundays had to offer and made our trip an ever lasting memory. we will definitely be back!!!

Shannon and Wayne were great guides they had all sorts of interesting topics and information on the surrounding areas to talk about. Made our honeymoon/anniversary just that much better,

If anyone is up this area and is looking for some fun this is definitely the way to go! 10/10 will have to bring the kids up next time.

What an absolute joy participating on this boat tour today. Everything was exceptional. From food, to locations we visited and the staff. By the way, the staff was PHENOMENAL. Shannon and Riley were by far one of the best memories I’ll take with me from Airlie Beach. Friendly, courteous and their caring was second to nobody. I have never encountered anyone who would speak so passionately about what they do and where they live. Kudos to the company and Shannon and Riley, thanks for the MEMORABLE experience.

My wife and I went on a redcat adventure to the whitsunday islands on the 29th of Feb 2024. It was an amazing experience with fun from beginning to end. From the boat ride with a brilliant crew and staff to the snorkeling, seeing amazing fish and coral to eventually seeing amazing views of the gorgeous Whitehaven beach from a lookout point. We were well looked after with snacks, lunch and drinks on board available for purchase. They were very safety conscience which was reassuring and always made sure they had everyone on the boat. Reece the skipper was lighthearted and funny and Sam was a comfort to be around, always looking out for the passengers. The 8 hours we spent on this tour felt like half an hour because of how much fun we had.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour to Whitehaven beach. The guides were cheerful and very informative. The views on the island were beyond beautiful. The buffet lunch was delicious and there was enough to choose for various dietary options. Snorkelling locations were good and we got to see plenty of fish (beware of jellyfish in some locations though). All in all, would highly recommend their services.

We have had an absolute blast on this tour! This was our first time snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, both Patrick and Jacob made sure to make it an unforgettable experience. Patrick did an amazing job looking after us from start to finish, making sure everything went smoothly and safely, providing us with a constant supply of snacks and laughs! Sailing back to Airlie Beach during the sunset made it even more perfect! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was an incredible experience. The visit to Whitsunday and the snorkeling was beautiful.
The key to the experience was PK, Shannon and Peyton! They were so authentic in the enjoyment of the experience they created for us. FYI, the brownies and lunch were delicious! The cold BYO beers was deadly!

Had a great time with PK and Patrick, they kept it entertaining. The spots we went to were great, and saw some amazing fish. Couldn't have asked for better weather to end the day at Whitehaven Beach

Great tour on the Thundercat boat on the 4th Jan in the Red group on a Red boat with a red headed Aussie girl tour guide who was excellent at accommodating the full boat.

The two snorkling locations are amazing and plenty of exotic fish and coral reef to admire.

A pretty decent lunch for being mostly prepared fresh on the boat.

Good banter between the other tour boat and guides while out on the water.

Whitsundays beach was beautiful just don't forget the stingray shuffle.

What an excellent day we had with Red Cat Adventures! I would highly recommend this to everyone! Our tour guide was more than a tour guide... she actually hung out with us and was part of the group. Lunch was yummy and we chose to have a couple beers too. I would certainly consider doing a tour with this group again.

My husband and I went on the Whitsundays - all inclusive day tour and it was beautiful! We both highly recommend it. I've never been snorkelling before because I'm not a fan of open water but the crew made sure that everyone felt super safe, the crew were super friendly and easy to have a chat with as well. We were provided with stinger suits and snorkelling equipment and the option of a pool noodle was available which made it more relaxed. There was an awesome variety of foods as well! I'm a picky eater and I definitely didn't go hungry. They have morning tea and an after noon fruit platter but for lunch they had a huge variety. They serve people with dietary requirements first, then kids and then everyone else. Once everyone has had a plate they encourage you come up and eat as much as you want. They also have a cold refillable water keg onboard and if you are wanting to, you can take your own food and drinks onboard with you. There were two beautiful snorkelling spots and Whitehaven beach was absolutely stunning!! you get to spend a few hours at the beach which was awesome cause we didn't feel like we were rushed and were just able to enjoy it. I was able to swim with 2 different jellyfish, which I thought was pretty cool. We will definitely be coming back with our kids next time. Overall it was the best experience and we are so excited for next time. The only thing I recommend is bringing a water proof bag or a plastic bag to put the things you want to stay dry in.

Patrick was fantastic... Helping everyone on board. He gave clear and precise instructions. I was impressed when he talked about safety. He made it fun and at the same times made sure everyone understood the safety protocols visually as well as verbally when snorkeling....

All day inclusive tour on thundercat was amazing! We really loved the snorkel sessions on the reef, the on-board lunch (and snacks!) and the time on Whitsunday island. They provide snorkels, optional buoyancy aid, pool noodles and stinger suits! Fabian and Johnny were great hosts. ❤

Had a fantastic experience on the Whithaven and Hill Inlet Red Cat tour today. Shout out to Cassy, Johnny and Mark for doing fabulous job of running the show - safety protocol and humour provided in equal parts. Snorkelling at the two locations was fantastic. I had no idea the snorkelling would be so different at both spots. Seeing the Māori Wrasse up close was an unforgettable moment. Thanks Red Cat 😀

Dave and Jani did a lovely job being our tour guides for the day! I felt so taken care of and welcome on the tour! They made sure everyone was safe all the time and also brought a good amount of humor along the way!

Fantastic day out with the Thundercat team, an experience I’ll never forget. The team of PK, Baby Thor and Cam looked after us and made the day entertaining and light hearted (while also making sure everyone stayed safe and knew what was going on). Definitely top of my to do list if I come to Airlie again, especially if I bring someone new.
