Review of: Brisbane River Lunchtime Cruise
We are from SA visiting our daughter in Brisbane. We had a wonderful time on the river cruise. Our daughter booked online. The website was easy to navigate. We took advantage of the discounted parking, which made the journey worry free. From the time we arrived to wait for boarding, our time on the boat and to disembarking, customer service and interactions with all the staff was excellent. They were happy & friendly and this definitely contributed to our experience. The entertainment was great, the boat was decorated beautifully with Christmas tree, decorations and fairy lights etc. The boat was spacious, which made it easy to move about. The facilities were clean. The food was delicious, lots of choice to cater to different tastes and there was plenty to eat. We had a window seat on the 2nd level, perfect spot to observe the scenery along the cruise route, including city views, bridges, parks etc, which also presented great photo opportunities, it was lovely. The roof top deck provided another option of enjoying the scenic views. The cruise was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. When we visit again, we would like to try the dinner cruise. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thought it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon and enjoy the Brisbane sights on the water. We would highly recommend the experience.

I really enjoyed on the cruise staffs very nice and happy to service the manager of the bar excellent service. The music band is great with the singer he is so good. My daughter and l we both very happy and enjoyed the views along the Brisbane river and the light at night is stunning. The menu of the food may need to adapt and make it tastier it would be perfect. The Cocktail drinks are awesome ❤😊🇦🇺⛴

Wow! This is all I can say! Such a wonderful birthday treat from my beautiful wife! I have noted that people (previous reviewers) have stated that they are expensive....absolutely not true! My birthday cruise was $99 each for 3 hours of luxury, service, views and fun! The buffet meal was excellent....the beers (included with the price) were great, the entertainer was incredible, the voyage was blissful and the views were wonderful.
For $99 each you get A LOT! And they have a tiered pricing approach if you want a little cheaper, you can go on a Thursday or Friday.
I cannot state enough that people need to get onto the Kookaburra Queen and have this experience....I know we will be again!

Had the pleasure of a date for one, on board the Kookaburra Queen for a lunch buffet cruise.

All the staff were friendly and inviting. The boarding and seating system flowed well being guided to the upper deck.

With 360 degree views and spotless windows, the cruise down to Southbank and back up past the story bridge, around and back again was spectacular - plus it was a magical day.

A quick trip up to the roof top deck was the perfect opportunity to bask in the sun.

Table service was provided with drinks easily accessible.

The buffet lunch was varied and with great choices.

I’m really looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks for the dinner cruise.

We were on a work Christmas party last night and had a great time. I have to mention all staff on board, managers, bartenders, DJ etc. ran the show amazingly. They were so helpful, friendly and served with a smile. Beautiful city views at night. Food can be better but I'm happy that there were lots of vegetarian options. The cocktails are amazing. Must try.

Enjoy Family and Friends cruising the River on something a bit special. Entertaining (great “blues” band on entry - Dancing on the Dance floor, great DJ), fun for the whole family. Good length of time, great value (kids were free-Special offer) Cool for events with a big group or even a romantic cruise for two. Staff went over board...sorry...above and beyond :P Food was good and overall great day out.

Had a perfect evening for River Fire here. Thanks to your amazing team- they were all sooo busy but never stopped smiling. All the food was delicious especially the calamari salad. Will be back, will recommend. Cheers!

The crew were super friendly and very welcoming making everyone feel happy and comfortable! Thank you so much. My partner was very happy with everything and I myself had a wonderful night. Everything was perfect I literally have no words to describe how bloody amazing the service and everything was. Thank you to all the crew that were working on that night❤ Keep up with the good work. How cool and fun this was! Let me start by saying my daughter had wanted to go in this for some time. We live in the Gold Coast so I surprised her with a weekend stay in Brisbane, as she was due for surgery on the following Monday. As part of her surprise weekend I booked the lunch cruise for us. Well her eyes lit up and she was one very happy girl. When booking online I explained it was a surprise and why. When we boarded we were so blown away by the most perfect table in the best spot on the boat. We both felt very special but most of all my daughter had the biggest smile on her face and for that moment forgot about her upcoming surgery. The cruise was spot on. The staff were all just so friendly and professional which was so pleasing to see. The buffet was well prepared and the portions were fantastic. The dessert selection was outstanding and again of a high quality, so much so my daughter went back for seconds! Brisbane city is so gorgeous to see from the river and this was the perfect way to see the city, spend time with my daughter and to forget about her upcoming surgery. This is a must do if you are looking for a fun and relaxing time. Thankyou to everyone for making our day so memorable, we will definitely be back.

What a great time was had by all. The boat takes a lot of people yet feels casual and relaxed. Though it doesn't have an Aircon, well placed fans and open windows keep it comfortable. The staff are cheerful and helpful. The food Fabulous and plenty of it and a table at a time are allocated so no rush. The jazz trio are both talented and fun, it was our 35th wedding anniversary and we were serenaded .The trio make their way around the tables and if you're celebrating something, they're happy to play a short tune at your request. The river sights are lovely and the 2 1/2 hours passes pleasantly. A good price for a great afternoon out.

A fantastic experience all round! Take a trip back in time and feel like you are Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster in the movie Maverick. Great hospitality and food. It literally helps you to slow down and take in the sights of the Brisbane River. Highly recommended experience!

Our 6 year anniversary was such a great day out, we enjoyed every bit of the cruise and will be back. Thank you so much for a fantastic day.

This was my fifth cruise, and as usual the service was wonderful (Saskia) and we had a very relaxing afternoon. The food was delicious and filling. We were originally booked on a nighttime cruise which was cancelled due to unexpected circumstances, so hope to do that one day (night). The boarding and booking process is very easy and I highly recommend these cruises to anyone looking for a leisurely way to spend a few hours.

The food was absolutely scrumptious and 2nds were definitely on! The staff were very pleasant.

I wish that I could do this on a regular basis as I dearly enjoy it. Perhaps the next time will be my birthday in March or if not, near enough.

It's a pity that you couldn't go under the Queen Victoria Bridge though.

Amazing!!!! It was honestly the perfect experience and worth every penny!!! I understand why some of the ratings are bad due to missing AC but we got lucky, it was 30 Celcius only and absolutely wonderful! The music, the food, the atmosphere! The chocolate cake was a dream!!! We had the best time. Recommended for families as well since we went with a baby and a toddler. Thank you so much for this awesome boat ride!

What a fantastic Saturday afternoon we had on your lunch time cruise. From the minute we got on board to the time we got off we had such a great time. Would highly recommend this to anyone, and will definitely be doing it again. The food was just fantastic, as was the staff. What beautiful people you have working for you. Cannot complain about the drinks package either. Again, thank you for an awesome Saturday afternoon.

It was my daughters 11th bday, and first time on the boat. We had an amazing time! We were given amazing seats and the entertainment sung her happy birthday. We were unaware of the children's platter as it arrived (a nice surprise!).

Lewis was fantastic as the cruise director and arranged a special drink for her, as well as permission for us to go and speak to the captain and take a photo with the wheel.

One waitress really stood out (Lily). She was delightful and friendly and went above and beyond.

The food was lovely (but would have liked to have seen healthier options ... eg, no green veges anywhere, a vegetarian option (even just one, a frittata perhaps), and sauces to go with the meats (eg...the ham). But truly that is just nitpicking, it was wonderful. Would definitely recommend and return.

I took my 95yo grandfather for the high tea cruise. It was wonderful. I rang beforehand and informed them of his requirements and they were more than happy to accommodate him. He loved it and I was so happy to see him enjoying himself. Thank you to all the staff and the Captain for a lovely afternoon.

We did the lunch cruise yesterday and it was awesome! The food was really nice. Good variety and lots of it. Friendly staff. Nice. music and good commentary on the sights. Highly recommended.

Excellent cruise, great service and food, live entertainment on board and spectacular views of this city of brisbane. The best restuarant in brisbane floating or not! Staff are extremely friendly polite and helpful and go out of there way to ensure you have a fantastic time. Couldn't recommend kookaburra showboat cruisers enough. Their Captains club is a great way to save money if you are going regularly!
