I found myself in a last-minute predicament when I realised I had lost my replica medals the day before ANZAC Day. After coming off a seven-day night shift, I was in desperate need and didn’t think I’d find a solution in Mackay. That’s when I reached out to The Military Workshop at lunchtime, and they immediately sprang into action.

The team at The Military Workshop was not only responsive but incredibly efficient. They managed to put together my order and complete it within an hour! Their promptness and efficiency were truly lifesaving, especially considering the significance of the upcoming ANZAC Day ceremonies. Update - They have contacted me to advise they do not sell to Overseas buyers as their policy is shown on their webpage - My mistake entirely. Original Review - Emailed on 12 Nov 19 about stock level for three items and no reply. Asked again on 3 Dec 19 and received a reply apologising and advising they would check the next day as not in shop at moment. No reply received so I have emailed a couple of times more but again no replies at all.

Happy with everything, there is alot more to discover in the shop , will go again in future

Hi All, my experience with this shop and its owner Brett,have been incredibly frustrating. To begin 1st time i order was a few years ago,i eventually got my order but i had to make several phone calls to Brett,when i ordered on his site i never got a response for my order,i had to ring. So even though i got my order eventually it was a painstaking chore. 2nd order just in July,i thought i would give them a 2nd chance. I order of the site agsin,got no response,a week later i rang. I was told that they had the order,and if I had looked they had not taken my money. OK fine. Was told that it would go in the next order,and i would get a message when it was sent to me. OK great,thank you. Now is 1st October,the order was a birthday present for August.Missed that one didn't i. So i rang Brett again,his response was he had forgotten to order it. Thanks so much you pathetic person. Normally get a couple of figurines a year,but not from him now. Have read most reviews for him and he is good at making excuses,no excuse here Brett. Plan and simple your Pathetic. Will never buy from him again and do yourself a favour don't bother.

Ordered some replicas for my brother and they were ready in two days.

Good service and price

Guy loses original certificates, then lies for months and tries to blame others, wouldn't trust him with anything original.

Offered work to have my wife's medals re-mounted as they are too wide and cannot be worn correctly or comfortably when marching. Refused the job on the proviso that there may be someone else in the future with no medals mounted and wants to reserve capacity. I commend their morals but as a paying customer it astounds me that business was turned away. Will direct as much future business away from The Military Workshop as I possibly can to reserve their capacity for future clients.

I requested my replicas be prepared and ready for a Monday duty. I received a text on the Tuesday following my duty saying please come and collect. Too late... I went to collect my replicas and asked for a reason why they were late and i received some very blatant attitude. I then pointed out that the numeral 2 for the OSM was the incorrect one and was told "They're only replicas"... Funnily enough I'm somewhat proud of the gongs and don't want to have to explain to my RSM the reason they look terrible is because "they're only replicas". I then pointed out that I had not been awarded the number 2 they had placed next to my ISAF clasp (on only my ribbon bar). I honestly can't think of anyway they could have stuffed this up worse than they did. I did not pay for the service and left the butchered set of replicas behind. Do yourself a favour and avoid these guys.

I would not recommend this place to anyone wanting to get replica medals as they are extremely rude and unwilling to assist their customers. It took three months of no contact from the owners for me to go into the shop and ask where my order was. It was quite clear they didn’t have my order as the lady behind the counter made rude remarks and instigated that this was our fault.
