Absolutely amazing food. Soul satisfying coffee and worth the shot. I have been here 7 years ago when i had absolutely no idea of food.
I went last Tuesday with my friends and ‘mamamia ‘.
We will be back and the Sicilian breakfast amazing. Pepornata i know where it’s from but the sausages with it.

From there delicious pastas, deli sandwiches and Salads, are all super tasty.

My family and I love coming to New Farm Deli on the weekends as we always crave for their pastas, chips and salads. It’s definitely a place you should visit, however it does get crowded and busy quickly so just be prepared for longer wait times.

Our favourites and highly recommended dishes are:
- Amatriciana spaghetti
- Spaghetti Vongole
- Crab Lasagna
- Cesar salad
- Chips with aioli

Been wanting to come here for ages and it didn't disappoint. We got the lamb mince and scambled eggs and croquettes. But the real magic is the deli itself. Spent wayyyyyy to much money on treats and already have picked out what I'll be buying in the future.

Our waitress was amazing too, I wish I had of caught her name.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Newstead Deli, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! From the moment I stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere and rich history of the establishment enveloped me. This deli, located in the heart of Merthyr village, is a beloved hub for locals, offering a warm and inviting environment that makes you feel right at home.

I decided to try their highly recommended Beef and Avocado Panini paired with a rich Italian wine. The Panini was a delightful blend of tender beef, creamy avocado, and fresh ingredients, all perfectly grilled to create a mouthwatering sandwich that hit all the right notes. The Italian wine was the perfect complement, boasting a robust flavour that balanced beautifully with the meal.

What really stood out to me was the impeccable service and the sense of community that Newstead Deli fosters. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure that every detail was perfect. The deli has a charming history as a third-generation family business, which adds to its unique charm and character.

I will 110% be visiting again. If you’re in Brisbane and looking for a spot with delicious food, a great atmosphere, and a touch of history, Newstead Deli is the place to be!

Amazing experience, we didn’t book and hoped for a table, the server sensed the excitement that my table had to try the place and did everything he could to squeeze us in which he did! The service was attentive the meals came out super fast - which did not take away from the quality and taste of these meals! Phenomenally tasty and throughly enjoyable! From someone that eats quite a bit of Italian food. Highly recommend a visit! Will be back soon!

OK, I can't believe this ticks all the boxes - elegant atmosphere (but not pretentious), delicious food, reasonable prices for such a classy restaurant and the nicest service staff. I LOVE my pasta so I was keen to try this place. Amazing, authentic Italian (so fresh I swear they must have just killed the cow out the back for my mince🤣), the tastiest sauce and perfect al dente pasta with grated parmesan to perfection. I finished it off with a macchiato (the classic tequila shot of the coffee world), which matched the sweet, creamy baked cheesecake. And all for $38 and change. I drink a ton of water and I found in my waiter a true champion of the service industry because as soon as Id empty a glass, he'd magically appear and refill it, all with banter and helpful menu tips. I'll be back!

We were recommended by a friend to try their pasta, and we were pleasantly surprised! The pasta dishes we tried were among the best we've had to date. It's no wonder the place was still buzzing on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm. While the service was adequate—nothing particularly outstanding—the real star of the show was the exceptional pasta.

We also sampled their Iced Tea, Chai Latte, Tiramisu, and Italian Mini Cheesecake, all of which were decent, though not particularly memorable.

Featured in this review are the Spaghetti All'Amatriciana and Polpette E Spaghetti, both boasting unique flavors that impressed us. Personally, I couldn't find any faults with either dish.

Overall, our experience left us impressed and satisfied, and we'll definitely be back for more. The outstanding pasta dishes alone make it worth a return visit.

Really high quality dining experience. Expect to wait a little bit if you are a walk in, it's definitely worth it. We had both types of the seafood spaghetti, and both were equally as delicious. Can't say enough about how high the standard of food is here.

First time to visit here and I had a lovely food. The lady that work here helped me about dish that I will order. It’s yummy and I’m very enjoyed with food.

OMG how have I not been here before.
I met a good friend and her daughter for a Christmas Eve breakfast and I have to say it was the best breakfast I have ever had.
The FUNGHETTO was so delicious, I couldn't stop raving about it.
We plan to do regular catch ups here in 2024 and I can't wait.
The team, the food, the service, the atmosphere are all 5 stars.

It had been a few years since I had eaten here & it did not disappoint! The food & service was just amazing!

The staff were lovely & the food came out quite quickly considering how busy it was at 10:30am! Well presented & just delicious! Great portions for the price too!

Easy parking including underground parking. Outdoor seating available so there’s room for mobility vehicles & prams. The bus also stops out front as well.

Will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Very busy yet surprisingly, for how busy they are, good service with friendly and helpful staff; I would suggest making a booking for busy times like the weekend though.

I had the Benedict Smoked Salmon from the breakfast menu which was very enjoyable, also very rich, and the Berry Smoothie which again was very enjoyable.

Everything is just perfect nice! Love the pasta and salad and breakfast and coffee. The environment and service is excellent. Staffs are so attentive.

This cafe has quickly become a favorite for pasta lovers like us. They offer gluten-free options, and if pasta isn't your thing, their menu has a fantastic selection to choose from. While walk-ins are welcome, we prefer booking ahead to skip any potential wait times. The deli section is impressive, boasting high-quality and diverse offerings. The staff is generally friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

Very fresh, I had the Sorrento panino while my brother had IL Salmone panino. Very delicious and fresh. The Prosciutto on my was very tasty. This place is a must try. The service was fast and reliable.

New Farm Deli has been a Brisbane institution since the 70tish, we've been regular customers here for over 40+ years and have seen the place grow , burn down, rebuilt, survive the Covid disaster and reestablish itself better than ever.
We went for a Saturday lunch and totally enjoyed the busy atmosphere, great service and wonderful fare.
Fortunately our family live within walking distance, so parking for us wasn't a problem this day, but could be a challenge at times.
The menu is extensive, quality is wonderful and we stayed for dessert and coffee as well.
Visited the Delicatessen and left with some great cheeses to enjoy at home.
We'll be back soon, as this place is just too good to stay away from.

We had a beutiful lunch at this place. We got Calamari and the Black Mussels for starters and it was beautifully done, it was cooked right and seasoned well. And we had Vince's Marinara and Rib Fillet steak. The Marinara was really good and flavorful. The steak was ok for me nothing special although it was cooked perfectly. I would have tried there Quail dish in Chefs Special instead for a better experience. Although it took them 30mins to serve my mains after we finished our starters, our overall experience there was great and would still want to come back to taste the rest of the food on there menu. The staff who attended to us, even though he was new was awesome and the lady who got our bill was always making sure that everything was taken cared of.
