We recently acquired two paintings for our new property. The gallery was welcoming and displayed a variety of artistic styles. Sharon was extremely accommodating. When she didn’t have what we were specifically after on display, she went above and beyond to help us find what we were after. Delivery was prompt and on time. We were very pleased with the experience.

Sharon Mitchell couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived just before closing and she was more than happy to allow us to take our time in selecting a beautiful painting by Lily Kelly Napangardi. Once purchased the canvass was stretched and available for pickup without any fuss in just a few days. There were also photos of the artist working on the piece and a certificate of authenticity for us to take. Thank you Sharon – we love the artwork.

We came across Mitchell Fine Art while strolling around the gallery neighbourhood of Fortitude valley. Being from Sydney we had not been familiar with the Gallery. Meeting Mike and Sharon was a fantastic experience. Nothing was too much trouble, they gladly got numerous pieces out for us to look at and their knowledge of indigenous artists was invaluable in helping us purchase a piece by Walungkura Napanangka. To our surprise, when we received the piece , accompanying it was a series of original photos , I assume Mike had taken of the Walungkura many years ago depicting her at different stages of painting our actual piece. Representing an excellent group of emerging and established artists, the exhibitions are extremely well-curated with a diverse crowd appreciating the excitement on opening nights. Staff are knowledgeable and warm-hearted, offering lovely support to enjoy their exhibitions throughout the week, regardless of your own level of knowledge or experience. Double thumbs-up!

Fantastic choice of Aboriginal paintings in Brisbane! Mike knows his stuff and there's a wonderfull choice of artists and paintings. We arrived a little late on a Saturday afternoon and nothign was too hard even if we were a bit undecided between 2 really nices artworks. Super friendly, never pushy at all, great advice so really recommended and we'll come back !

Loved visiting this fine gallery last week to take in the Jan Thomson exhibition. The staff we met were very welcoming, engaging and informative. A very accessible gallery in every sense - especially for those with less mobility. Easy off street parking and definitely wheelchair friendly. Thank you for making our visit so memorable. The Mitchell fine Art Gallery is always a treat, we’ve experienced several opening nights and having direct access to the Artists is fabulous. The location is convenient to James St precinct and the gallery space is perfect.This week we purchased a beautiful piece by Margaret McIntosh, we obviously love it but the service and follow up from the team was first class. If you get the chance to enjoy an exhibition please don’t miss it - highly recommended.

Wonderful experience connecting with and purchasing artwork from Mitchell Fine Art. Mike and Sharon and their team are first and foremost about creating a community of artists and collectors and art industry folk, which allows a personal introduction to the creators behind the art. A recent purchase was professional and personal. I am very happy with my Matthew Cheyne piece which now has pride of place on my wall.

We bought a very special Margaret Loy Pula painting which we love. In 3-4 trips to Mitchell Fine Art prior to that, we found the staff friendly and very professional. It was clear that the gallery owners personally new the artists and could speak about them with authority. I ordered a painting from the Mitchell Fine Art in October 2021. It arrived beautifully packed, and precisely as described. Everything was well-handled, from the initial purchase to the follow-up. My beautiful art work was ready to hang and now provides daily pleasure.

There are quite a few reasons why I'd commend MFA however main 3:
1. The website - It's quick and easy to use. High quality art work & I could pick my favourites in my own time
2. The Gallery - High quality works, well displayed & upon inspecting my favourites they were easily accessible to view & the staff quickly pick-up on my preferences providing alternative options (but not to many to confuse)
3. Staff - Upon entering the gallery you will immediately feel relaxed & welcomed. You then quickly understand the staff are knowledgeable but talk on your level of understanding & feel honoured to show the artist works

A quality service, friendly staff and a wonderful selection of contemporary and indigenous art to choose from. Being in Sydney I did my purchase over the phone and online. Sharon went out of her way to accomodate all my enquires to make sure I was happy with my selection. My piece arrived by TNT courier with a two day turn around. How good is that!
