Went for a high tea, staff were attentive and lovely, food was fresh and tasty. Was well priced for a high tea experience. We were there for 3 hours and had an enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely go back.

Elegant and warm atmosphere. Classic and well executed dishes. The staff were attentive and friendly and overall had a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The wine list and menu match well.

Came here in Feb and had a super experience with my friend. Very nice service with great dishes, you would sit in a old fashioned room and enjoy your time here. Still remember the fish and the impressive crab salad as the side.

My partner and I had dinner here for our anniversary. The food was divine. We recommend the lamb shanks and the steak. The desserts were so lovely too.

This restaurant is situated opposite to the Botanical Gardens and within the Royal on the Park Hotel.

I came here during the The Fork 50% promotions and was drawn to the many positive reviews on Google.

All I can say is that the food we tried were absolutely amazing. The food portions were very generous. I highly recommend the duck breast and seared scallops.

This is a fine dining restaurant so expect to wait a while for the food to be served but was worth every second for the wait.

Stayed at the hotel for a significant amount of days & every time we ordered room service or went down to eat in the restaurant itself, the food was just exquisite. Personal favourite was the Royal Spaghettini. The food was flavourful, good portions & consistent with quality every time & service was immaculate, especially Jessica (I think that’s her name), the best wait staff I’ve encountered.
Will definitely return to dine in when we are back in Brissy & would highly recommend.

The service was really good with a rustic wooden ambience. The chairs were comfortable and the waiting time for our food wasn't long either. The dishes were well presented and tasted amazing. Recommended to have their duck confit and crab spaghettini. The oysters were really fresh as well.

We stayed at the hotel in November 2020 but we didn't eat at the restaurant. A year later, in November 2021, we booked in at the Walnut. I had the char-grilled 180g pasture fed eye fillet, rare. It was perfect. The vegetables are a nice accompaniment to the dish. The meal portion is perfect for me. My husband had the char-grilled 300g scotch fillet, rare. He enjoyed his meal but was not an enthused as I was about my meal. We dined here again between Christmas and the New Year with a friend. My husband and I ordered the eye fillet. Our friend ordered the special. This visit we had dessert: one caramel tart brulee and one bombe Alaska. Both desserts were devine. Good portions for such rich and sweet desserts. Service was excellent on both visits. We'll be back again soon!

I’ve dined here a handful of times is not more. The atmosphere keeps me coming back. It’s very cosy and classy. The food is amazing. My favourite being the gnocchi. As someone who does not have a sweet tooth at all and usually doesn’t have dessert, I have to say they have the best desserts which are not overwhelmingly sweet.

I’ve never been disappointed and highly recommend this restaurant.

Royal fine dining at it's absolute finest.

I have been to a few fine dining restaurants before but this place is the classiest and finest but quite a bit.

The professionalism of the staff at the bar and dinner service was as good as it gets.

Loved the food as well, presentation was simply superb.

I tried Rabbit for the 1st time ever, really nice, very cool as well how it was served inside the pot with the vegetable top and I also like the prune spread for the Ciabatta.

Extremely happy with my Royal Crab Spaghettini Main Course.

They were able to modify it for me as I don't like Chilli, I appreciate that I lot.

The though there was a perfect amount of EVOO, I had a similar dish at another restaurant and the meal almost drowned from way too much much, but there was no problems here at all.

Quiet place. Did go on a Wednesday but. All the usuals for a place like that in Brisbane. Portion sizes were good. All enjoyed the various dishes. Can't speak for cost as I was shouted out. Only quirky thing was after dessert, they stopped coming around for more drinks. Most places pester you but these people noticable by their absence. Definitely would go again.

We visited most Brisbane restaurants over a number of weeks to be sure to find the best for a group of 28 friends and family. We chose wisely when we selected the Walnut. Belinda bent over backwards to accomodate or every planning wish and on the night William and wait staff provided the best service we have ever had. Food was excellent and the classic decore is unbeatable. Brisbane's best.

Date night place indeed. Critics who think there is no better way to make gnocchi, you haven't tried this place.

Courtesy was extended all along from reservation till exit. Looks can be deceiving in terms of quantity as the food is quite heavy. Food really tastes good and the decor reminds you of being in the continental (John wick).

This was the best Restaurant meal I have had in a long time. Duck was tender and delicious. Barramundi was just right and the sides of Brussel sprouts and chips just perfect accompaniments. Service discreet and efficient. Dessert spectacular.

It is truly an enchanting experience of another time in this precinct of Brisbane's CBD as the peace and calmness amidst a chaotic pace of modern CBD living.

Celebrated our anniversary last year in this place and The Walnut Restaurant & Lounge Bar are so spacious the staff are very nice. The steak is my favorite and my wife like almost all the food we ordered. Thank you for the wonderful evening we spend it in here it's all worth it.

The buffet breakfast offered in the mornings is exceptional. Amazing choices, everything was delicious, wonderful service and very nice quiet atmosphere. There was an abundance of hot food, lots of nice pastries, fresh fruit, cereals and many drink options. We are excited to come back and dine in for dinner.

Fantastic service and delicious food. Exceptionally good for a hotel restaurant (although I get the impression that their main business is from outside clients). I had a spaghettini with mud crab, followed by Bombe Alaska (a little disappointed that they weren't allowed to flame it in front of me). The spaghettini was delicious, and the Bombe was amazing. Highly recommended.

Amazing food, amazing service .... Our server Indy gave amazing service, attentive, happy and cheerful at all times. Thanks to all the staff and chefs for a lovely date night.

Always a constant in delivering quality food and service. A wonderful place for us to gather and enjoy dinner before heading to the Lightscape in the Botanic Gardens.
