River Quay Fish

The place is really very beautiful overlooking the river and the air is cool and there is heating in the restaurant and most importantly the service is great and the food and coffee everything is wonderful. We enjoyed it very much I advise everyone to visit it and thank you to the smiling girl there I forgot her name I am really sorry for you Five stars

I was torn between a few restaurants near the end of my trip but as a last minute decision I decided to choose River quay. I didn’t regret it. The fish and chips were delicious!! The entire meal was amazing but the chips I was served were some of the best chips I’ve ate in my life. I was served by Karen who was an absolute star!! she was very friendly, accommodating and the service was speedy and efficient while not feeling rushed at all! It’s in a beautiful location after a walk through the street beach. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be going again when I go back to Australia!

A filling, tasty meal with a beautiful view! I really appreciated the variety in the menu - despite the name, the River Quay Fish offers non-seagood and vegetarian options as well. I had the vege burger and chips which were lovely - the chips in particular were cooked to perfection with a lovely aioli dipping sauce. This is a good place to bring family and friends who differ in what constitutes a good meal, because everyone is sure to find a dish that pleases them. And it's just so nice to sit near the river and watch the world go by.

After a walk we stopped to have a cool drink today. We were approached by a staff member promptly and after explaining we just wanted a drink we were shown to a table with no problem. Our drinks were a refreshing boost to a hot day.
Atmosphere was pleasant as we sat looking across the river and did a bit of people watching.

It's the perfect spot for a spontaneous stop during a relaxing stroll by the river. The food is top-notch considering the price, and the view only adds to the experience. The staff is attentive, making it an ideal destination for casual dining. No wonder we find ourselves returning time and time again.

We stumbled upon this amazing restaurant while going out for a walk with the intention of getting just some beer. My husband and I ended having an amazing dinner feast. The food was delicious and with spectacular view overlooking the river.
We had fresh oysters, calamari, fish bao, chilli prawn linguine. The staffs are welcoming and attentive. It has become one of my new favourite places to go. I highly recommend everyone to give this place a go and you will fall in love, i am sure.
I will be back for more.

This restaurant was a stand out. The food was all nice and fresh, very filling. Service was outstanding, incredible staff who made you feel very welcome. It is located just by the side of the river so having an amazing meal with a stunning view really makes this place special. Definitely recommend.

Amazing seafood and the dressing for the tomatoes on our bread was so good! Very pretty place and great staff! I told them it was my birthday and they made my sticky date pudding really really cute 🥺❤thank you so much! Very reasonable price for so much food too.

I'm a long time between reviews. There's very little these days that inspires me to review. But River Quay Fish is an experience that does. Basically, it's the food... It's really very good.

My dish was the barra. It was very simple: fish. broccolini. mashed potato. These are all things I have had before. There were no fancy sauces, no strange ingredients. I get dishes like this one from pubs and restaurants all over Brisbane. But it did not taste anything like those dishes. It made me stop and savour. It made me appreciate it. I felt like the critic from Ratatouille taking his first bite out of the dish he'd had many times in his childhood, but that tasted divine. This was great. The (grown-up) kids even commented. Even mum was impressed.

It's been a long time since I've had food that I wanted to care about. Try this place.

Oh, and although it's undercover, it's alfresco too. You get to watch the world walk, run, and skate past.

Our group of 9 just celebrated my Dad's 90th birthday at this lovely restaurant. We couldn't have been happier with the food, the service (all the wait staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful), and the location. 10 out of 10 from me. Thank you !!

An impressive establishment for fine dining and drinks. Excellent table service, with friendly and efficient staff. Superb location with some of the most amazing views of the Brisbane River and the Brisbane CBD, the city lights at night are absolutely beautiful.

I attended River Quay Fish on Saturday night. The food was amazing and well presented. The staff were 100% attentive. I would highly recommend River Quay Fish to anyone looking for great food and an amazing view

Extremely friendly service, food very tasty, and located at Southbank where it’s always a nice vibe. Photos include fish tacos and Moreton Bay Bug Bao buns (both for entree) and then Tasmanian Salmon and Chilli Prawn Linguine for mains.

Staff is friendly and appear to be genuinely happy to be helping you. The food is amazing, everything from entree to main course to dessert. Every bite was an absolute pleasure. Beautiful views of the Brisbane river put the experience over the top. A visit to this restaurant alone makes a trip to the South Bank a fantastic use of anyone's time.

Location is so pretty, fitout is tasteful, chairs are actually very comfortable. Heaters present and plenty of cover available. Staff were warm, accomodating and helpful to deal with and met the Chef and Manager/Owner, lovely people. Delightful total dinner experience. Service was fast. Prawn Chilie Linguine was superb, chock full of fresh prawns with a nice bite, the Coconut Panacotta was flawless and tasty garnished with a real flower on a slice of pineapple caramalised as a base, the side of sweet potato wedges were amongst best experienced, hot and crispy, cooked perfectly. Coffee was an impressive one, smooth & well rounded, great Crema, and hot. The coffee Crema art was a classy touch! Thanks team for a delightful dining experience, 10/10.

Celebrated a 30th birthday discreetly. can't speak highly enough about this place. From the food, music, venue, view, atmosphere, to the service. Everything was amazing.

The seafood platter was perfectly sized and well balanced. the prawn linguine was light and bursting with flavour. The Salted caramel coffee martini was sweet and light. the buttercup cocktail was pleasantly Sourd and both were delicately decorated splendidly.

We wanted dessert but were too satisfied and full. Definitely a wonderful place.

Wonderful experience - food was amazing, seafood platter delicious & so fresh. Service was outstanding. We had such a great lunch here today and will definitely be back.
