Bourbon Street New Orlean restaurant

My first taste of Louisiana Creole food, and it was fantastic. I had the vege burger and chips - crumbed eggplant pattie and sauces were so tasty and the price was reasonable too. For filling comfort food, this is a good place to go and it's close to everything over at Southbank as well (including decent toilets which are literally on the other side opposite). Relaxed atmosphere with lots of greenery also projects a chill vibe.

Very surprised at how fantastic the food is and really reasonable pricing, meals were hot, fresh and plenty full. Wide variety for dietary considerations and expansive cocktail and liquor menu.

Staff are attentive, helpful and good customer service. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly with a variety of sized tables and fresh plants everywhere

Atmosphere and Service was wonderful, beautiful restaurant. Only complaint is the roast vegetables could have been better and they forgot the potatoes but the pulled pork burger was spectacular.

Fantastic, I've overlooked this place but finally tried it and I enjoyed it so much! Had the jambalaya, corn bread, and jalapeno beignet. We had a 'surprise cocktail' special for $15 and got a super tasty grapefruit and passionfruit drink. Everything was very delicious, and a great serving size and really good price for South Bank. Definitely going back soon.

Amazing food, still managed to prepare amazing meals even though they were meant to be closed! Everything was well seasoned and fresh, crispy and spiced well! Come here for their nachos absolutely amazing and good portions!! The staff were so nice and eager to show their knowledge and suggestions for the menu!!

Had a $15 special and was absolutely amazing! Also had a $15 mystery cocktail which was divine! Food was quick but well seasoned and well cooked! Menu items are very cheap too, example $6.50 for strawberries and ice cream! Will be back regularly!

in and outside dining. The food was good, tastey but nothing to get excited about. , cocktails were in VERY SMALL glasses and still not even filled. Definately not worth the$20 each that was charged. Unfortunately I think we caught our server on a bad night. He really gave the impression that he didn't want to be there , which put a bit of a downer on the dinner. It was a shame as this place had been reccomended to us as a place we must try.

The burger was delicious, nice and fresh, melted in mouth couldn’t stop eating it. The nachos make me wanna marry the chef, it was absolutely amazing and beautiful. Cocktails were delish and well made! Def will be back!!

As an American in Australia, it’s rare that I find food that genuinely reminds me of home. Tried out Bourbon Street for some corn bread, chicken & waffles, and jambalaya. It did not disappoint. Atmosphere is great, staff are lovely. Highly recommend

Great Louisiana style meals. Plenty of choices on the cocktails menu too. Had the beef brisket and the chicken thigh fillet. Both full of flavour. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

I LOVE this place and make sure I visit on every tri to Brisbane! The staff are lovely and the setting is just fabulous- away from the noise but can still sit on the balcony and watch the world go by !

The pulled pork burger was messy to eat, but great fun! Cornbread was airy yet satisfying, with a pleasant chilli warmth at the back of the throat. Great playlist of sophisticated r&b and chill electronica. Friendly service!

The staff were polite and friendly here. My pulled pork burger was very good. Great flavour and the pork was well cooked. The brisket was very nice also.

Great food every time I've eaten here. Recommend the Maryland Chicken & Waffles y'all, Beef Brisket is a FAVORITE & Sweet fries/curly fries/regular fries all good choices 👌Burger options too and salads but get you some chicken 🐔

Had a great lunch here. The atmosphere was great, the service quick and friendly. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious. I had a cheeseburger (starting from only $9!) and it was excellent. The person I was with had the southern fried chicken, and they enjoyed it very much.

Difficult to understand some of the negative reviews on here as they are nothing like the wonderful experience I had. Will definitely be back.

Very welcoming staff, great meal. Massive pulled pork burger and a tasty seafood marinara. They even pushed our order through, as we had a show to get to. Will be back

First time here - amazing food! It's impossible to regret their signature dish. We had the chicken'n'waffle and beef brisket, and grinned with satisfaction after each mouthful. Glad we didn't bring the kids though - we'd be walking home! Prices (not moderate) did not match portion sizes (on the small side), but perhaps average for South Brisbane. Would come again.
