Amazing little 'Aladdins Cave' on Petrie Terrace. The eclectic furniture and homewares from 50s and 70s is a great place to buy a gift that is unique. No fakes here. Bought a lovely Arabia turrine with a pattern I hadn't seen before. Will be back for more when owners Tamasine and Peter get any in.

I find Peter approachable, knowledgeable and interesting. His experience spans 20+ years such that he's pragmatic. The store is full of marvellous #mcm #vintage. Introduce yourself. Chat. Be surprised.

Great place for beautifully restored pieces from 50s through to the 70s. Just be warned if you go here it's hard to avoid spending a serious amount of money of beautiful Danish side tables and stylish floor lamps...

Very difficult to find as very unobtrusive signage, in a small brick block of shops just at the top of the terrace. Looks mysterious from the outside but quite well curated inside.

The Vinyl Frontier is an interesting shop for furniture and accessories from the mid twentieth century.

Great shop, just not very welcoming. A smile and a hello goes a long way

Definitely some really fantastic furniture if you're into the 60s and 70s style, but I agree with other reviews here that the vibe is not very welcoming. A simple hello really does go a long way in making an impression on customers. As the only customers there, we expected that we might be asked if we are looking for anything in particular, need advice etc. But we got a cold stare and felt like we were just being watched. Makes it feel like the owner is not very passionate about their trade. Despite the fantastic range and style of furniture, we are reluctant to visit again.

Impressive array of items at his store. Wish I had more money.

Guy at the counter is rude and judging. I asked how much an item was and treated as I couldn't afford it. I asked if there were similar items as I wanted to match and purchase multiple, but he didn't even get up to assist. My partner said thank you and he condescendingly said bye.
Fu mate.

Could only admire from the window. Went on the 13th Jan in the afternoon, it wasn’t open so we called the number from the door and also from Google and no one answered. Went again on the 14th at 10:30am, not open again and called both numbers again and no one answered.

They might know about furniture but don't know about customer service.
