Have celebrated three birthdays here and the food, drinks and service has always exceeded expectations. The quality is high, and prices are reasonable especially if you get the set menu. Have had lamb dishes on two visits, and enjoyed each and every mouthful. Have also had the creme brûlée each visits, which is to die for. The location on the Brisbane river in exceptional, it really is a special restaurant.

This place took me by surprise. We chose it because they were open on a Sunday and most places don't. The lady who served us was very professional and friendly. Even ask if we are celebrating anything. And gave us a special dish in the end. See photo. Definitely worth a try.

This was a lovely place to celebrate a 70th birthday and we had an excellent evening. We all felt the portion sizes to be perfect in that we were able to enjoy 3 courses without feeling overwhelmed or uncomfortable. The time between courses was great too as we were able to enjoy each other’s company without pressure to be eating. A relaxing evening with delicious food. Pork Belly with celeriac and Scallops with squid ink tulle for entree. If you have ever been disappointed with dry duck this restaurant will renew your faith in this delicious dish as the Duck with parsnip purée and a delicious jus did not disappoint. The quail dish was also a hit for main course. Blueberry sorbet and lime meringue and chocolate del-ice for dessert.
Friendly and helpful waitstaff willing to explain some of the more exotic ingredients to us. The cocktails were delicious too, would love to return to try out other items on the menu.

Had lunch with 2 other friends. We ordered the lunch set menu. Serving the courses took a bit of time but was worth the wait. The pork hock balls were amazing. Duck Pate a bit large as a serving but we loved it. The sorbet we thought came #1 as a desert which was unexpected. We Truely enjoyed will be back again.

Delicious food and Great servings .
The two of us struggled to finish our meal due to the amount of food presented.
The Duck was skin crisp and tender to the bone.
The Swordfish was cooked to perfection.
Salads were absolutely awesome and so fresh.
Entree for Two was a very generous serving and fantastic.
Service and Conversation with Staff was on Point.

On deciding that the use of the private dinning area would best suit our function our experience with Aquitaine was nothing short of fantastic.
From Martin showing us around and explaining what we can expect to Gabby our dedicated staff member for the evening along with the fabulously tasty and presented food we were left very impressed.

This business owner should be well proud of the wonderful staff they have.

Me n my wife went here few days ago for our first anniversary..it was amazing..we had beef denver and it was over the moon,,cooked perfectly as we wanted..so yumm..

Had a wonderful time with my wife and food was delicious! The escargot was nice, grilled octopus was really tender with lovely charred flavour, bouillabaisse was flavourful with clams, mussels, fish, and octopus. The grilled quail was really tender and juicy, paired with grilled broccolini. Staff were really friendly, got outdoor table closest to river and had heater next to us which kept us warm, quiet and cosy atmosphere. Worth recommending!

Had the boozy lunch, 2 course. Was filling but not too much. The mains we got were amazing, the duck and pork. Mix the elements and the dishes came together beautifully. Also the woman serving us was fantastic. Not stingy with the drinks either. A great place to dine along the river on a sunny Brisbane day

First impression of very friendly staff.
We came for my mum's birthday, with three kids all under 10. No problems at all. All staff look after us very well. Love the steak and fish. Cooked just right!
We also bought our own cake, charged about $3 for each person, but chef decorated the slides very nicely. Made the money well spent.

Will back again.

delicious french food & very french waitresses, so much so their english was not 100%, so a little hard for them to understand our order but we got there. i don't know why but the escargot were not served in shells, yummy sauce with bread. everyone recommends the duck & we know why, to die for, fell off the bone. i also had a yummy cocktail with gin, mandarine & blood orange. fine dining worth what we paid $195 for 2 entrees, 2 mains & 4 mixed drinks. would highly recommend for a beautiful meal. thankyou aquitaine

Apparently we ordered 🐌 by accident, it happens. The olive appetiser was very nice, so too the octopus entree. The striploin was exceptional, the duck main was too rare for my liking but that is traditionally how it is prepared. Wonderful table and nice views with lovely wait staff. Will return to explore the menu some more. Very high quality French cuisine.

Pleasently surpised - Amazing food, good service!

We'd heard of Aquitaine for a while and had never thought about dining here until a spontaneous night out. Food was cooked perfectly and portions were good - not too little or too much. Lamb was 👌. Service was positive, new staff were enthusiastic so was a bit rushed but we didn't mind. Honestly its been a while since we've had quality food at this price range so we would say it was worth every penny. (Bonus, good spot to dog watch for dog lovers 🐕.)

Highly recommend! Keep up the good work :)

Lots to love. Take a stroll along the river and take in some genuine French fair. I saw the Manager/owner take personal interest in the meals and he explained the difference between duck pate and fois gras to me. The food arrived quickly and you can see in the photos the attention to detail in presentation.
As a first time steak tartare order, id go back for seconds.

Had an amazing time. Our waitress Kate was such a pleasure to have, she knew the menu and the wines. Our entire experience, food, wine and service was just amazing. Chef Chris came out to talk to us at the end of the degustation and shared some of his secrets. Such a great experience, would 100% visit again.

What an amazing French restaurant!

We were totally blown away by how good the food, drinks and services! We were served by Ella (?). She is totally amazing. Very attentive and made sure everything is good. Oh she will not steer you wrong with the cocktails. You have to try their Rum and Spice, and Sherbet Highball....

As with the food, very fresh and in excellent quality. We couldn't ask for more. The terrine is done beautifully. The sous vide duck is very flavourful! Oh that bouillabaisse, that's out of the world. All the seafood is cooked just right. That broth is so rich in the shellfish favour. It is just amazing. Oh if you like cheese (and who doesn't?), Make sure to order the fried cauliflower. It's served with Roquefort Bechamel and candied walnuts. Totally divine!

Pretty sure this is my favourite restaurant in Brisbane.

After being seated in possibly the best seat in the house, we were greeted by our lovely waiter, Russell. The food was fantastic, so decadent and a great take on modern french dining. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The view is just great - overlooking the Brisbane river and city skyline. We had the escargot and oysters to begin with. Along with the crispy fish, tiger prawns and tomato/basil/bocconicini salad. We managed to fit in dessert and had the deconstructed creme brulee and a blue cheese board. Highly recommend this place!

Stunningly beautiful position for this extraordinary fine dining experience. It was certainly a pleasure to have eaten there. The food was fantastic as one would expect. The staff were amazingly attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable of what we were eating. Congratulations team on a wonderful night out.

Went for lunch with my 3yo girl. Lovely knowledgeable (aware of the ingredients/menu and why one taste I couldn’t identify - blue cheese in the gnocchi) staff - One French one kiwi. Good yarn with them. The oysters from Tasmania A+, can’t compare with Bluff but I liked it. escargot first the first time was good - earthy with good texture. Gnocchi was great and good size. Kid had chips and ice cream and no complaints. Price is as expected for quality. Can’t takeaway.

Have kept coming back and never disappointed. The staff are excellent.
