The Ship Inn (S06)

We dined there with a reservation. The calamari I ordered was impeccable. fresh, juicy, and not at all chewy. The generous portion was more than enough for one. It came accompanied by fries, a refreshing salad, and a delectable aioli. While the drink was satisfactory, it didn’t particularly stand out. However, the food was undeniably delightful.

Great service tonight. We showed up without a booking on a busy weekend and we're found a table right away. We had a show to go to and our order was put through quickly with a smile. Such great service. The food was really good and reasonable. Great night

This hostelry may be tucked away but it is worth going past many others to get truly great service and fantastic food. The wine reasonably priced too and the beer is cold

Food was amazing - both meals were perfectly cooked. Chicken was succulent, full of flavour & not deep fried as I was expecting (that's how this dish is usually cooked) - 10/10. It was refreshing to have a side salad that was edible too (most of the time what you get on a plate at a pub these days is wilted & gross). The wine selection was also excellent. Not sure why it has taken me so long to get back here, but it definitely won't be so long between visits next time.

Me and my family had a wonderful evening here . From first minute to the last , the food , service and setting was pure amazing . Recommend for anyone around the area wanting a restaurant style dinner at half the price 👍

Southbank was very noisy and very hot last Friday. We walked until we reached the Ship Inn. It was quiet and marginally cooler. They were booked out but they found us a place to sit and enjoy dinner. At this point we were attended by Andrew who was very helpful and friendly. The meal and drinks were just what we needed. We had an excellent experience. We are an older couple who appreciated your great care, comfort and a delicious meal.

The food was excellent, and so was the service. The building is amazing and is in a great location. I had the lasagne and it was great.

Met up with our family here for lunch. It was a miserable rainy day but it was warm & cosy inside. The service was fantastic & the food delicious. We will definitely visit here again next time we are in Brisbane.

Had lunch here with a group of retired work friends. Excellent place, good food, good service and friendly staff. Actually we meet here every 6 months and this place has always supplied not notch service, food and facilities. I would thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

We were only in Brisbane for a short time but the food was so good we went twice. I had the beef Wellington both times, my wife had the beef Wellington and the fish. Fantastic food.

My husband and I are very impressed with this place. We learned about it through a local paper. Went there for lunch on a Thursday and it was packed but the service was prompt. As soon as we walked through the door a waiter met us and gave us a table. My husband ordered the lamb shank on the main meals menu and I ordered the Three Little Pigs on the specials menu. Both dishes were amazing, we loved them. We ordered the Crème Brûlée for dessert, it was absolutely delicious, well made. Prompt and friendly service, amazingly delicious food and beautiful location, we will go back any time. To the staff, thank you so much for making our visit one to remember.

We had dinner with our daughters tonight,meals were lovely,beautifully presented.Our daughters steak was slightly undercooked,we didn't say anything, however the staff noticed and made her another entire meal to replace it.It was the best service we had had in a restaurant for a very long time. We would highly recommend.5 stars 🌟

Had a fantastic birthday lunch. The meal was delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxed. One of the best lunch dates, especially the eclairs for desert! Yum.

A fantastic pub close to Brisbane River and a real institution of South Bank. Great meals celebrating some local produce from South East QLD and a nice atmosphere
