The Alliance Hotel

The Alliance Hotel has a friendly and efficient team that pairs well with the clean and inviting atmosphere. A we’ll balanced menu offers a couple of vegetarian dishes and could be further improved with the addition of some vegan choices. Food quality was very good and the prices very reasonable. Definitely worth revisiting.

I absolutely loved this place. The staff was fantastic and knowledgeable with the selection of beer, alcohol and food. Emma was exceptional at service. Thanks for the lovely evening at an exceptional Brisbane landmark.

One of the best scotch eggs I've had. Also they're open on Sundays now. Will be back many times.

So good to have a decent local pub open again. Popped in for a quick lunch today. Service was prompt and friendly. Hoping more people in the area will start frequenting the Alliance once more. Met one of the new owners - Kat. Good food and consistent trading hours plus some great events coming up including winning a meat tray! No one does old fashioned pub stuff anymore. Great find!! In Brisbane for work and The Alliance was just up the road from my hotel. Had the eye fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the sides and sauce were generous and delicious. Staff very welcoming. Great atmosphere. Very happy to have stumbled across this pub.

This is a great environment with really exceptional food. I have been coming the last three nights and the starters and mains have so well prepared and full of flavour. When I am back in town I will be coming here for dinner again. The steaks and vegetables are a must have. Calamari is certainly a beautiful flavour sensation.

Dinner there last night, food unreal. Scotch egg fantastic and sick to see a pub get a bit adventurous with the menu. Parmi also terrific.

Just brilliant. Food was amazing, beer and wine list extensive, service faultless. Treads a brilliant line being both relaxed and welcoming yet professional and attentive. Best dinner we’ve had in ages, can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I love anything with old world or antique feel to it and this hotel had it in spades. We would definitely return, lovely friendly staff too.

We had a 60th birthday in the Cellar Room and were extremely happy with the room, staff and overall experience. We had our own private little space with an entrance off the street to avoid people going through the main bar and dining area. The food was great and catered for all dietary requirements and the bar staff were very helpful and attentive, ensuring that glasses we cleared away and food was circulated to everyone. Huge thank you to the Alliance Hotel !!!!! everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the birthday girl !

Wow, I'd heard about the Alliance Hotel a few months ago and wanted to go for ages. Oh wow, I was not disappointed. All the food was so delicious. The service was also very good. This pub really reminded me of a good old pub in the UK, great food, good banter, and fast service. Probably the best pub food I've had in a long time.

We booked "The Headquarters" for a 40th birthday dinner on a Saturday night with four under thirteens and six adults.

The food was very good and the service exemplary.

Had a big group and luckily got a private area to ourselves. Was a fantastic dinner and the food was really great.

Amazing craft beer range, great service, the young guy at the bar was very knowledgeable on his beers. Food was delish. It has a really cool vibe. The outside of the hotel doesn’t do it justice

A beautiful, heritage-listed pub which is unpretentious but retains the elegance of its youth.
We were greeted by friendly staff and enjoyed a few shared entrees instead of main meals. Would be nice to have more wines offered by the glass but were happy with the selection.
Will definitely be back!

I booked a work function at The Alliance Hotel for ~25pax in February 2023. Jordy (the function manager) was very easy to work with and provided flexibility in designing a menu and a space appropriate for our group. The space we had was perfect for our dinner, we required a private dining space with a bar close by. We had our own bar tender who was very efficient. Food service was quick and the food was delicious! I had the flank steak which was one of the best steaks I've had in a while. I received excellent feedback from my colleagues at the dinner, the space, service, food and drinks were all great! We come to Brisbane a few times a year and need a venue for dinner, I'd definitely book this for dinner again!

This is a great stop for a meal and a drink. The waitresses were lovely and served us at our table for the night. The food was good and pricing seems fair. There was a nice atmosphere that was slightly dark and no loud music - I really liked this place.
