Hillsdon Grocer

Brilliant foodie place and perfect for really good quality pestos, oils, truffle etc! I get all my oils here and I’m unable to cook anymore without their Pukara garlic oil!🤭 They also have quality spices, cookies, crisps, yogurts, cheese, wine and a fab magarita mix. A great place to also pick up a gift with gorgeous linen, chocolates, teapots and they even have plastic free Xmas crackers. The owner is a chef and his sister is also a foodie. You can really tell when you chat with them so if you want quality ingredients to take your cooking and pastas to the next level this is the place❤

It is so wonderful to see this old Corner Store continue it's 70 plus years of servicing Taringa locals. The new owners Kim and Dylan have contined to develop and build on the fabulous revived business John brought in to a new life for the Grocer. A beautiful range of deli products, cheeses, cured meats, take home meals, fresh fruit and veg, Aussie boutiquewines and spirits. Nearly everything you could want when you wander down to your corner store. Hillsdon Grocer is continuing a wonderful tradition. A lot of heart and passion has gone in to fitting out the space and to selecting stock and goodies for locals to enjoy.

Hillsdon Grocer is my local corner store, and how lucky am I.
Kim and Dylan are awesome and wow can Dylan produce beautiful food. I love to go for the salads.
They have a great gin selection which goes down well with their French potato chips.
Every couple of mornings I will call in and grab some oat milk and sourdough bread for work and am always met with a smile and friendly banter.
A great place to pick up a home cooked meal or tasty treats!!!

So lucky to live local and have this treasure as a fixture of our lives - I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking this! Kim and Dylan have expanded on this already fabulous gourmet corner store and have quietly introduced a selection of delicious fresh food made daily to take home and enjoy; from wholesome adventurous salads and toasted turkish sandwiches, to whole-of-soul chef-made Spag Bol or a Strogg or a Curry, an inspiring ever-changing range of fresh ready-made meals to grab on the way home.

So fresh (you can literally see Dylan preparing the salads in the morning), one day I went in and was absolutely hit by the amazing smell of the herbs and dressing he was tossing through a salad he was preparing - I took some home for later that night, scoffed most of it that day, eating it straight from it's container with my fingers as I stood with the fridge door opened, in a food trance..

A great verity of gourmet products. Great quality, great service. Lovely bakery items, fresh delicious fruits and lots of choices for the dinner. Thanks to the management and staff. You brought happiness to the neighbourhood.

It’s so great to have a wonderful little corner store in a beautiful suburb. John and Helen are super friendly and always have time for a chat. Interstate newspapers available. Try the lamb and mint sausages (from the freezer). Great on the BBQ.

Fantastic grocers. All the deli items are great quality. We especially love the olives and salami. Also best bread you can buy in Indooroopilly/Taringa right now.

The produce at Hillsdon Grocer is second to none. High quality fruit and vegetable and a selection cheese and meats. During Covid-19 lockdowns, Hillsdon Grocer was our families' source for supplies. The staff - Helen & John - are terrific welcoming people and I could not recommend more.
