I visited a store today to purchase my son's first violin as he is entering third grade this year. Even though I arrived just 15 minutes before the store closed, the lady who greeted me was incredibly kind and helpful. She explained everything in detail and brought three different types of violins, including new and second-hand ones. She played each one for us to listen to, allowing my child to make a well-informed choice. I was able to find a high-quality violin within my budget, and both my child and I were extremely satisfied with the purchase. I definitely intend to visit again in the future and highly recommend this place!

Incredible store and staff with the best range in Australia. Our experience finding a new 3/4 violin for my daughter was so lovely. We found a great Eastman violin and were never made to feel like we had to go above our budget. The you Animato!

Express delivery is slow, things are expensive, and you can't buy it. All That are not bad things. The more you pay for it,the less convenient it is.,In the end, when it is in your hands finally, the more you will feel happiness!
Spend your thoughts, make you shy, take up time to make you want to understand, check the Internet, go to the store and ask, one after the other, talk to each of the musicians, talk about the wood, talk about the sound, talk to them, and be proud of them. Change the first one of the different pianos to give you a hearing. Every little bit of familiarity makes you add a point to its fascination. In the end, you definitely want it, you will feel that it is worthy of your energy to ponder it and try to find it. ].
At this time, it is no longer just a price tag, but it is unremarkable. Its every luster, each tone, and the arc of each hand are engraved with your own brand in the process of searching. It seems that every string that is swaying takes the spring breeze in the process of searching for you, with the sun and the rain under the sun, the joyous song that you sing at the top of the mountain, when there is a finger of a violinist Patience, and the jokes when we are all tired at sunset...
At this point, fortunately, at first I did not scratch the mouse, bought her a "cheap" to not want to spend energy to compare, and ended the "process." What she likes ----will give her the opportunity of join in the process of finding it and start to enjoy it!

Good service and if there is any issue, it is possible you can it fixed immediately since they have persons who expertise in the instruments,especially strings. Very good experience for us.

I got to pat a very nice small dog. Also they sell good student instruments and were very helpful selecting a good one for my daughter.

Huge place with an absolute massive amount of instruments and parts. You can get nearly anything there. Repairs are sorted for you as well and new and used parts and instruments. Wall to wall of beautifully created musical fun to be had.

So the school decided to ambush me a week ago after selling the idea of a cello to my grade 5 daughter. First time experience, I had to learn quick, and the more I picked up, the more I was steered towards all the usual brands and related stores that had very little in stock. So I walked into animato, disillusioned about the entire process, and walked a believer. These guys were so helpful, obliging, demonstrated all their options, advised all the little items that I wasn't aware of, and left me confident for my purchase. Time will tell, however, so far, so good.

Bought a a 2nd hand cello for my daughter in December which recently needed some minor repairs. I was blown away by the outstanding service

Fantastic place. Staff were very friendly and helpful.I had a lovely gentlemen show me 2 value priced violins and played both to demonstrate.

Although I was looking at the lower end of the scale they welcomed me and treated me well. ALL customers appear valued and are equal.

The young lady there saw my 2yo daughter was becoming restless and offered to show her around and played with her to allow me time and the freedom to talk about and consider my purchase.

I would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a beginner or upgrade your current stringed instrument.

Will be returning, hopefully soon, to upgrade what I purchased.

Ordered the Violin over the phone and spoke to Dietrich. He was very kind and very knowledgeable and took the time to assist me with ordering my violin. Since I am from the United States he assured me he would hand pick the violin in which I would gift to my wife as a bday present. I received the violin within a weeks time and could see the care that was taken to package the violin. The violin looks and sounds amazing! My daughter and I dropped in to buy a second hand half size violin as she had to hand back her school instrument and needed a bigger violin.

We were seen quickly even though the shop was busy with people looking at instruments. An early sign that we were in the right place.

Very impressed with the number of instruments on display and ready to try.

Dietrich brought us a few second hand instruments to choose from and played them all so we could hear what they sounded like. He even gave my daughter an impromptu lesson to help her get started with the bigger violin.

My daughter has been learning viola since she was seven. As she has grown, she has progressed through four quality violas from Animato. At each visit we have been helped to choose an instrument that is the right fit and has a beautiful sound. We have also entrusted Animato with the repair of a treasured family violin, which can now be used to make music again! Walking into the shop fills me with a sense of awe - there is something a bit magic about Animato.

Excellent no pressure service. I bought a G Marcello viola with a Coda Classic bow. The order and delivery was swift. I love my new instrument and have had many compliments about the tone. Being a Lionel Tertis model and also the fingerboard is only as wide as my violins, I find it easy to play.
I would highly recommend Animato Strings. Dietrich Lassa clearly loves his job and goes out of his way to make sure his customers receive 5* service.

Such professional and lovely people to deal with. I live in Rockhampton and with the store being in Brisbane I was unable to go in to choose the violin I wanted, however Animato were very helpful. They played various violins over the phone for me to listen to, they also threw in a chin rest for free. I highly recommend this store! The postage was free, the price was very affordable and I received the parcel within a couple of days in time for my daughter’s birthday.
