First time I bought a bicycle on line, I was worried dealing from the distance, but Chris (bike owner mechanic) was clear and reassuring, I got what I really wanted, it was send to me safely and well packed, precisely tuned as requested. I recommend anyone considering an upgrade for a quality bike to contact Chris at Chain Gang.

Friendly local bike shop with absolutely fantastic service and classy décor. The customer service here is outstanding, its in another class compared to the generic run-of-the-mill bike stores like 99 Bikes etc. Any cyclist who wants a high-quality, local, independent bike mechanic should try Chain Gang, as the customer service and work is exemplary.

I've been coming to Chris for several years now, and every time he does an amazing job. Chris is attentive, experienced, and my bikes are always in pristine and perfect order after being serviced by him. Cannot recommend enough!

Was looking for a bike shop that specialised or was at least familiar with servicing high end Canyon bikes and found Chain Gang. Have been here for two services (and a change over to a ceramic bb) and Chris is excellent. Extremely satisfied thanks :)

From the moment I stepped inside the Chain Gang Shop I was impressed with Chris' knowledge and professionalism. He listened carefully and suggested 3 road bikes, explaining their pros and cons. Whilst I was waiting for my new Bianchi Impulso Pro, Chris adjusted the fit on my old road bike, immediately eliminating the stiff back I have been experiencing. When I picked up the Bianchi, it was perfectly set up for me, and it is so very comfortable. This also gave me an excuse to play with Gary the dachshund who is a real cute character.

I went to Chain Gang for a service, for the first time, after recommendations from a few friends. Chris spent considerable time chasing down a bottom bracket squeak that other mechanics couldn't solve, and now my bike runs beautifully. Nothing better than a silent bike! Thank you.

Great service from initial contact, ordering and building up and fitting my new bike, Chris was great making sure that everything was spot on in limited time that I gave him. Big thanks, and can't wait to start riding as soon as Dr's give me the all clear. Plenty on envy on Facebook after posting the pictures of the new ride. Can't praise Chain Gang Bikes enough.

I first heard of Chain Gang Brisbane through cycling mates and social media for selling premium quality bikes and exceptional customer services. My search for a new replacement bike after an accident lead me to Chris. I was after the new Cervelo Soloist model size 48cm and Chris was the only Cervelo dealer in town that has the complete bike in stock. I was only looking to purchase the frame as i had other components from my old bike, Chris went out of his way to strip the complete built bike and sold me the frame.

Upon arriving at the shop, I was greeted by a very friendly fury staff, Gary the sausage dog!

My experience from choosing components, discussing the build and picking up the bike with Chris was exceptional. Chris was patient, understanding of what I want my dream bike to look like and attended to all my requests. At the end he even does a bike fit to make sure that my fit was correct for the bike.

I cannot recommend Chain Gang enough! This bike shop should be on the top of your mind when choosing your next dream build or service!!

Chris has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. I was after a frameset that potentially had a lengthy wait time, Chris suggested that I buy one elsewhere that was in stock which obviously cost him a sale. Chris at Chain Gang is top notch. I began arranging for my bike purchase while overseas several weeks ago based on the recommendation of my fiance. Chris was great in giving me ideas of bikes to consider, and after arriving yesterday I popped into the store this morning to pick up my awesome bike. Chris took the time to help me get perfectly fit in the saddle, and I was able to get all of my kit as well. Overall the store has an excellent selection of great bikes and products and Chris was amazing to work with.

Chris is a lovely guy, and really knows his stuff. Bought a CX bike from him a few years back, wonderful experience start to finish. Super helpful when I've found myself in a bind with a few different bikes. Highly recommend.

This is definitely a five star bike store which has great products and excellent service. Chris is always friendly and welcoming. Over many years Chris has helped and advised me on component and frame upgrades which I have been more than happy with. Chris has the ability to work with you to put you on the bike you want. The store has all the latest extras you can’t do without and Chris’ bike fit takes all the aches and pain out of your ride and maybe gain a few extra watts. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Highly recommended Chris & his mechanic skills & welcoming/friendly service. After a few recent crashes, Chris has "pimped my ride" with the unexpected attention to detail with funky bar tape and stylish retro tyres which look great! Bike always feels like new again after a service, for an 8 year old bike I unfortunately don't have an excuse to get a new one yet! (Said no cyclist ever). Getting to meet & pat Gary the cutest dachshund also just made my day!

Just picked up my trusty and well used Pinarello from Chris at Chain Gang following some relatively minor but very important (safety speaking) work. As usual Chris was his attentive self, spending time talking me through what he had done and showing me the removed parts. I have been riding in Brisbane for almost 40 years now and have been using Chris’s workshop services exclusive for the past 4-5 years. I have always found him to be honest and trustworthy and very reasonable with his charges. I have no hesitation in saying I will be continuing to use his services well into the future. After experiencing some drag/loss of speed after a recent BB change I sought a 2nd opinion. I found Chris/Chain Gang after reviewing shops who sell and service Wilier road bikes. Knowing of the good reputation from other cyclists in the community I contacted Chris who was able to see me the same day. Chris identified the BB hadn't been correctly fitted and was able to fix straight away. There was an immediate improvement in bike performance which was only enhanced when the following day Chris was able to upgrade me with a ceramic BB. Thank you Chris, very happy with your support.

Great experience when I recently purchased my new Cervelo S5. Chris was fantastic to deal with and obviously really experienced and new his stuff, which was really reassuring. He was also really accommodating with all that I asked and was a genuine good guy. Would highly recommend purchasing from Chain Gang - I was happy to drive from Brisbane’s northern suburbs to receive such great service!!

I have had great service from Chris and his team. I had an issue with my front disc brake and fork shuddering. Chris took the challenge on and after a major bike brand could figure out what they had to supply, Chris still managed to get the problem resolved. Baring in mind that the bike was purchased from a different shop and he doesn't even carry the brand, this is a testament to his customer service.

Knowledgable and professional with a service orientation, Chris and Chain Gang provide a premium experience to the cycling community of Brisbane and surrounding suburbs. The shop is filled with a range of beautiful bikes & plenty of accessories; you don't need to go anywhere else. Chris also completed bike fits for both my roadie and TT bikes and took the time and attention to make sure I was comfortable (and aero!). If you're not happy with your current shop go and see Chris.
