I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sakura Sushi, a charming family-owned restaurant run by a mother and son team. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the cozy atmosphere and the relaxed ambience, which created the perfect setting for a delightful meal.

One unique feature of Sakura Sushi is the adorable train set that carries a small selection of dishes around the restaurant, adding an element of fun to the dining experience. It's a great touch that adds to the overall charm of the place.

Now, let's talk about the food. The portions at Sakura Sushi are indeed generous, and the sushi was a true highlight. It was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. The quality of the ingredients shone through in every bite, making it evident that the owners take great pride in what they serve.

In conclusion, if you're in search of a welcoming, family-owned sushi restaurant with delectable food and a unique touch, Sakura Sushi is the place to be. The experience is well worth the investment, and I can't wait to return to savor more of their delicious dishes.

Cosy restaurant with a relaxed ambience and a cute train set carrying a small selection of dishes around. It was very easy to get a table for one when I arrived at just before 2pm. The sushi was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and checked every so often to make sure I had enough to eat. Although it's not the cheapest sushi place, the quality is worth making another trip back to try other dishes.

Sakura Sushi has been here in Windsor for 20 years! I have been numerous times over the years. I love the authenticity. I had the teriyaki rolls (the omelette on the outside is a nice touch). The seaweed ships were great. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Parking was a bit tricky as the carpark was full but I didn’t mind the walk from just up the road. The aircon was perfect for the hot day. The chef asked if I wanted anything made even though there was plenty of freshly made plates on the train (and yes..it’s a real train…making it a great place for kids).

authentic sushi.
succulent scallops and tasty fine salmon aburi.
just that touch more refined and subtle flavours.
maybe because it was made with care by family members.

Best sushi I've had in years. Amazing sushi train (it is a real model train!) and the sweetest duo running the shop. Did I mention it is a BYO without corkage?! Definitely check it out - you won't be disappointed!

My family love Sushi and Japanese food and we were recommended to this place by friends. decided to give it a try tonight for our Friday night dinner.
We had a Tempura Prawn Udon. The Udon noodle, soup and prawn were all so delicious! We also had some Nigiris. The Scallops and Salmon ones were our favourite. All the ingredients were very fresh and their sushi rice was cooked perfectly!
And of course “the train” is the highlight for my kid.
Great service and good portion of food as well. So happy to find this gem for our family. Will definitely come back regularly!

Casual excellence. The quality is very high and for the vegetarians out there I speak highly of their veg options! Chef knows where the happiness point is, and anticipates desires of regular customers as a brilliant chef always does. Extra points for the sushi train cruising around the dining room at the same time. Toot toot, fancy jelly or an egg salad ship? Chef and staff, you have my love.

Our new local gem that I want to keep hidden but I can’t. The fish is fresh and the portions are great. The duo that runs the store are two lovely people and it really is a no frills place. It gives a lot of the major sushi chains a run for their money in terms of price and quality. I highly recommend the Agedashi Tofu and the Chicken skewers.

Have been coming here for years, usually at least weekly. Awesome for lunch and food is always fresh. Staff are very friendly and accomodating and with regular customers they will be to know what you want and prepare it for you. Have come to crave the gyoza and aburi salmon.

I love this restaurant! The lovely staff are so nice to customers, and the food has become a regular in our household. We love the karaage donburi, chicken fantastic, rainbow salmon and pork buns (always succulent!), but there’s so much more to choose from.
Looking forward to being a regular at Sakura. Thank you very much for the great food.

Tucked away a short way from central Brisbane this place is worth the visit. The sushi arrives to your seat on the back of a train running along tracks that surround the counter. The novelty is not overshadowed by the food. The dishes are quite tasty and a mixture of your usual expected pieces and some varied ones. The deep fried options aren't bad at all, we tested a few. And the little spicy ones are DELISH.
