It was a really lovely house. Trying to access the property was awful and lacked clear instructions. As much as Olivia (Be Locals) was pleasant to talk with and did return the messages many of the emails from Be Locals were inaccurate. They either missed information or provided details for things that did not apply. The gardens were really disappointing and like a jungle. Be Locals asked for photographs which were supplied but then there was no apology for the state of them. The hot water was lukewarm in the kitchen. When this was reported it was not addressed nor any acknowledgement or apology. Having checked out and knowing somebody would occupy the place following us it was necessary to call up four days later to get our damage deposit returned to us. This should have been automatic once the property had been checked after checkout.

I wish I had read the reviews prior to renting an apartment on the Gold Coast. Poor to zero communication, phone number goes to a message bank that hangs up when connected. We have yet to be provided with any check in details for a unit we have fully paid for. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH BE LOCALS.
