Very good burgers! I had the pulled pork and the blend with the apple was spectacular. My boyfriend had the Wagyu beef burger and he really enjoyed it. Also they know how to serve a pint of Guinness properly, my boyfriend was very happy to see that as it doesn't always happen in Australia. We came here for lunch and it was nice and cozy.

We came to the Gold Coast for a week and ate here twice. The atmosphere is awesome, first time we had great live music, second time more quiet but awesome service. Genuinely couldn’t get better or more friendly service.
The food was sensational! Big portions! Food was super fresh, brought out quickly and everything our family tried was excellent.

Really recommend this place.

My local pub, have been coming here 12+ years. it’s a great venue but what keeps me coming back are the awesome staff! Maddie is an amazing manager, Riff and Julian are two really cool guys, Charlotte is unreal, Laura is wonderful and Naggy and Nikki work wonders in the kitchen. Keep up the great work guys :)

Excellent chicken schnitzel and chips, fantastic garlic bread, and delightful service at a very reasonable price, will definitely be back soon!

Perfect for young families. The team were right on with every aspect as soon as we sat down. From offering colouring for the kids, to getting plastic cups for the to share a soda water, and ensuring the kids food came out first. Food was deliciously as well. Can’t fault them. Thank you for a great experience.

We were down for a little getaway and trying to find somewhere that had a nice atmosphere for our little family. We found ‘The Local Tavern’ tucked away. We ordered right from the table and the service was perfect. All staff from the bar to waitresses were so accomodating. We had a Caesar salad which was so fresh and the perfect size, our children had fish and chips which was cooked to perfection, we added a side of mash and veg and both were so yummy and fresh. We had a parmi also but the star of the show was the dressing on the side salad that came with the parmi. We left and kept talking about how delicious it was so we had to message the team the following day to let them know how yummy it was but to also try and find out where to buy it, bad news is you can’t buy it but the best news is they make it in house! So lucky us will have to return to get the yummy flavours. We can’t recommend this place enough, we will be back anytime we come down to the Goldie. Thank you again to all staff.

Had an excellent dining experience here with family on New Years Eve, flawless overall. The staff were wonderful, friendly and efficient, the food was outstanding - fresh, flavoursome and solid portion sizes, a good range of beverage options, reasonable prices and a relaxed atmosphere. Worth a stop off if you're in Surfers.

Came because the prices where much more reasonable then others in the area and we where not disappointed. Size of our mains where massive and tasty!

Got the salt and pepper calamari that was super tasty and my partner got the Parma which was the size of his head!

Great sized meals, value for money. Kids are made to feel welcome and offered a kid's pack as well as their own menu. Great job guys. Wish we had found this place earlier, as we are leaving tomorrow. If in Surfers, do yourself a favour and check this place out.

Great atmosphere there with good background music going and TV's to watch sport. The food was divine, and the drinks are great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Muchly appreciated.

Exceptional, just what we wanted to finish off our night. As simple as it comes, basic well-cooked and seasoned steak with chips and salad. Live music was nice, the highlight was the silver fox behind the bar. I assume he owned the place, if not he took pride as though he did. Food was great

Dom is magnificent and Rif is a champion..Plus the pretty lady who goes to uni is wonderful.But the lady who runs the engine is Maddie who should be running the country she’s so efficient.

I'll definitely come again, to have a great time with my fams & friends. Btw, they have a superb ribs. You should try one (or more). Since I'm not into beers / alcohol, I could recommend you for coke 😆

Rad little place, dropped in here on my way home and it was lovely. The staff were welcoming and gracious. I wasn't bothered by anyone and the music was okay.

Amazing! All of our meals were great. Good service & great live music.
