I have been so spoilt and so well looked after by such an amazing, caring and passionate team.

This has been the best care facility I have been to and much preferred my care at Spendelove in comparison my operating private hospital.

The facility is clean and spacious with a great amount of storage.

All Staff are extremely helpful and responsive to all requests and needs including dietary.

The Rooms are comfortable and fitted with a Smart Tv, Personal Air conditioning, ensuite with GREAT water pressure and temperature
(this has been a life saver!)

Unbelievable experience and so much better than the local private hospitals for post operation care. My mother wasn’t ready to go home after shoulder surgery. The local private hospital really didn’t care about how she “felt” and whether she felt safe to return home. She came to Spendelove for a week for some rehab and confidence building exercises. Awesome staff!!! Awesome experience. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Libby!!!!

I just completed stage 1 at Spendlove pain clinic and what a wonderful experience. The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful, the food was so wonderful and healthy. Over all I would recommend this to anyone who is experiencing chronic pain the team are a wealth of knowledge and experience and they make you feel like you and your journey through your pain is as important to them as 1it is to you, all in all I would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who has made my journey through stage 1 so wonderful and helpful

Wonderful caring, supportive staff, very much appreciate all that Spendlove Private Hospital offers.
Living alone my Dr was concerned how I would manage when returning home after foot surgery, NWB. How was I going to cook, shower, etc. So asked who was going to support me. When I said I didn't have anyone that could, he immediately recommended Spendlove. And what a wonderful experience the 3 weeks that I was there was.

A neighbour transported me from where I had the surgery to then Spendlove Private and staff came out to the car to wheel me in the wheelchair in, as well as take my luggage up as my neighbour had to go elsewhere and could not stay.

Everybody kept offering if I need any help just press the buzzer, everyone there made me feel welcome and they felt like they wanted to be working there, Reception, Doctor, nurses, AINs, cleaning, catering staff, Chefs, everybody was genuinely smiling and were super friendly and nothing was a trouble to them. Everyone seemed to all work collaboratively, together beautifully. The chefs provided delicious and nurturing food that was of an extremely high standard, had no problem with catering for my special diet that I require. GF & DF. Wine was offered but was declined as I don't drink alcohol but respect that other people do. And I got to meet a couple of the chefs so could thank them personally for the care they took in preparing the meals as well. My bed was comfortable, the temperature in the room great as each room has individual aircon so I could have it at the temp my body prefers. Visitors that came said they sensed a very lovely atmosphere there in Spendlove from the moment they walked into the place just like I experienced when I arrived, it felt very healing which was perfect as is exactly what my body required. If I required recovery support again I would definitely book into Spendlove again.

I booked in at Spendelove Private 19 days ago and checked out this morning.
I went in after struggling to heal at home from 2 hip replacements and a fractured femur. Yes, somehow I managed to fracture my left femur around the site of prosthetic.

I have to say that I received the best of care from all the staff. The nursing staff were professional and extremely polite, always making sure I was comfortable and managing ok with moving around and even made sure of aids to allow a comfortable nights sleep.
A very approachable, Dr Kelly made regular visits ensuring he kept me pain free and as comfortable as possible.
George, the young physiotherapist had me walking with the help of various devices in no time. He certainly helped in building my confidence with every outing and also had me focus on my upper body strengthening which I sorely needed.

I do however have a beef with the kitchen staff though. (No pun intended)
I went in weighing 87kgs and came out weighing 93.8kgs!! I don’t know that I’ve ever eaten so well 🤣
The meals were great and the only time I might not have entirely enjoyed a meal was when I ordered the wrong meal. There’s always a choice and twice I ordered something just to be adventurous that didn’t work for me - still perfectly ok but this old guy has got too stayed in his culinary tastes.

Anyway, I’ve now been home for 8 hours and I’m wondering if I left too early. I’m missing all caring.

I’d have no hesitation in recommending Spendelove Private to anyone requiring post operative care and recovery.

I have just spent the last 10 nights at Spendlove hospital and I can honestly say I was sad to leave and didn't want to go home.
I was there as a self funded patient as my surgery and hospital expenses were not covered under my private health. The 10 nights at Spendlove cost $7500 and I can still say it was money well spent.
From the booking with Libby to all the nursing staff, the carers, cleaners, and kitchen staff everyone was so lovely and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem, and everything was done with a smile. I could not do anything by myself and had severe wounds that required dressing daily. A massive thankyou to Wendy and Dr Kelly for making me feel more comfortable tending to these each day.
I had a lovely big room with Queen size bed, and private bathroom. All of my meals were delicious with a choice of 2 lunches and dinners each day, heaps for breakfast and morning and afternoon tea. It was unlike any hospital food Ive ever had with it all being cooked by a chef onsite.
I was on a cocktail of medications all day, and the nurses never missed a beat with administering them when required, and when needed at other times.
I am so grateful for my time at Spendlove, and will definitely stay there again if Im ever in need for more surgery aftercare. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay there for their post op recovery.

Just spent 2 nights after surgery . I highly recommend spendlove as I live 600kms from the Gold Coast it was great having extra time to recover. I was only on liquid food but I talked to other patients they all said the food was great. The staff are amazing nothing is to much trouble and they all happy. Thank you All again. Paul

I’m somewhat allergic to hospitals, but the recovery rooms were akin to a 5 star hotel which greatly assisted in alleviating my anxiety and I’m convinced this sped up my recovery.

I’d without hesitation recommend Spendlove and their team to all.

While not a patient, but merely a husband that cares for my wife and wants the best of care for her. My wife has spent a total if over 11 weeks this year in recovery at Spendlove, and I have nothing but praise for all the staff. From the moment you 1st book in with Libby to the cleaners, the catering and nursing staff are spot on. The staff have managed to acheive this all within a full blown refurb going on all around them, amazing. The care and attention my wife is getting on a day to day basis, is 10 out of 10. It also allows me to rest and recover after heart surgery with no stress. Thanks to ALL the staff at SPENDLOVE, you are all exceptional and have made my wife relaxed, and comfortable, and can only highly recommend this facility at times in your life when things turn upside down.

After having foot surgery, I am most grateful and fortunate to have had the opportunity for post operative care at Spendelove Private Hospital.
I have been impressed with the excellent level of professional care and commitment by the Carers and Nursing Team.
My thanks to Dr Kelly who guided and supported my rehabilitation with pain management and care through his regular visits including weekends.
Rooms are very comfortably appointed and hygienically maintained by a friendly, respectful cleaning team.
Meals are homely and nutritional. This quality food is prepared and cooked on site by a chef and her kitchen team.

I spent 2 weeks at Spendlove hospital i had the best experience, the most caring people ever doctor & nurse's, the chef's & food was the best. The first week i was in very bad condition and i was in so much pain but i learnt alot of things during physio. the nurses were so close to everyone taking their time to talk to everyone & always had beautiful smile and energy, any help we needed they where there. Best hospital experience ive ever had, thank you to all the staff.

I am most grateful to everyone at Spendelove who cared for me during my recovery from surgery. The friendly, cheerful nurses, carers, catering staff, cleaning team and administration gave me such wonderful attention that I am recovering more quickly than I expected. Special mention to Dr Kelly for his respect and regular checks.

Beautiful staff that are genuine in your care. The meals/ menu are spoken too/ asked personally by the cook and you have 2 choices with main and deserts. I'm sure they would also attended to your dietary needs. Rooms are well appointed with a balcony and wheelchair accessible toilet/ shower. Doctor Laurence Clark is always on hand and help is only a nurse call button with prompt response. I can only hope your level of care is a professional as mine. Thankyou Splendlove Hospital in my surgical recovery, and a special thanks to nurse Louise for being so nice to my parents when visiting. A brilliant hospital that took care of my father while we found him suitable aged care accommodation. The nursing staff are very experienced and knowledgeable. Communication between staff was the best I have seen at any hospital. Very proactive in managing any medical issues. Kitchen staff accommodated my father's preferences. All staff were caring, compassionate and understanding. A specialist hospital that many of the larger hospitals could learn from.

I spent 2 weeks in June 2020 at Spendelove. The staff are just fantastic. The food is great. The care is 2nd the none. The nurses, doctor, carers, catering, admin, cleaners, and other patients made this place a home away from home. U never wanna b in hospital long but if you are, this is the best place 4 it. 🤕😁

Wonderful, that’s how I describe Spendelove House. I spent two weeks as an inpatient as part of their Pain Centre of Excellence program in phase 1.
The staff are amazing, kind, supportive and understanding, the food is fabulous and the facilities provide all most anything someone could need.
The Pain Centre care team have changed my life as a chronic pain sufferer this program needs to be available to all chronic pain suffers as this should be the future of health care, a holistic way of treating at the whole person rather than just treating symptoms.
If you have chronic pain and are able to get into the Pain Centre of Excellence programme, I say do it, grab the opportunity to change your quality of life for the good.

Best thing to happen to me after 4 years of chronic pain.

Excellent facility for recovery and recuperation after surgery. This is my second time here and the level of care and professionalism is second to none! If you need to recover after surgery, I would highly recommend Spendlove Private Hospital.
