A perfect place to have near the beach, you can choose to sit on their cute picnic tables or easily take everything away for a picnic. My only concern is doing everything out of takeaway packaging regardless of being recycled is eco friendly.

Ordered online, and it arrived at table in less than 5 mins. Yes it quick because it was fruit salad but gosh i am hungry.

The most RIDONKULOUS Lemon Meringue Tart I have ever tasted, and I thought I'd tasted them all. Pure perfection. I have never tasted any Lemon Tart that comes close to the pastry, lemon curd and meringue on this. Heavenly, divine, seriously talented pastry Artisans.

We’ve visited a few times and are regulars when on our yearly holiday to Tallebudgera Holiday Park. Have tried their almond croissants, muffins, donuts, breakfast and lunch items, and all delicious! Always very generous servings. If you’re a smashed avo lover, theirs is delicious!! Love their drinks also- fresh OJ and milkshakes are a highlight. Appreciate the relaxed setting, really family friendly with plenty of tables and shade. Agree with other comments though, whilst I appreciate the food coming out quick, would be nice for it not to feel so rushed- food pretty much thrown at you. Toast a little under toasted etc. Nothing that won’t stop us from coming back! Highly recommend.

I've just had the tastiest version of an Eggs Benny ever, absolute perfection! If the dish wasn't so sickly I'd probably have ordered another.

The sweets were good especially the Lemon Tart & Almond/Custard Croissant . Can get very busy on most days but not too long a wait for a table . Sitting on grass is acceptable & is Dog friendly. Parking can be a bit on short supply, being so busy. Worth a try for something a bit different 😉

📝: Custard Canteen is a cute little takeaway style bakery and brunch place located on the Tallebudgera Creek at the Gold Coast Recreation Centre, brought to you by the same team behind @bambam_bakehouse . The place is marked by its 50's style red and white umbrellas and alfresco garden setting. It’s conveniently walking distance from the beach so it’s the perfect place to go to after a visit to the ocean.

❤: You have to grab the iconic Custard Canteen Portuguese tarts if you have the chance to visit. They were so buttery and so flakey 😍😍😍. The egg tarts are made in small batches and to demand, so you can often rock up after the lunch rush and still get yourself a warm parcel straight out of the oven!

Beautiful big area near the beach. Chips, regular and sweet are the perfect combination of crispy but soft inside. Bob's burger was old solid and just a hint of heat which was great.

Great vibe and food. The Portuguese tarts are good but I actually expected more. They tasted more like the frozen tarts that you buy from Costco. However, croissant was good just like their sister cafe and the fish&chips was the highlight. Definitely a great family and weekend spot.

Most amazing muffin on the Coast!! Not kidding. I had the white chocolate and raspberry straight out of the oven and it was amazing. So soft with a crusty top and heaps of chocolate and raspberry. Get into it!! The bacon and egg role was terrific too. Heaps of parking and a massive outside area with seating and artificial grass you can sit on. Positioned next to the Talle recreation centre just off the highway, south of the bridge. So good!!

My partner and I Visited this place twice over our weekend in palm beach. Great tunes, friendly atmosphere for the kids and dog friendly. A special thanks to Mitch for you friendly attitude and exceptional service!

My favorite bakery on the GC! The almond tart was just a dream. The French toast had really sweet-savory balanced flavor. Great coffee also. Love all the outdoor seating.

I made a great find whilst strolling around Tallebudgera. I see some bright red and white umbrellas and outdoor tables and head towards the hole in the wall kiosk, only to discover it’s a sibling to Bam Bam and Cubby Bakehouse and I’m very excited for the treats they’ll have.

It’s a lovely spot in a garden setting, shaded by the umbrellas and trees and perfect to bring your pram or dogs. Food is all
Served in takeaway boxes and coffee in takeaway cups, but it is all brought to your table.

The counter box showcases the pastry offerings, and I ordered their version of a Portuguese tart / almond tart rolled into one. The use of puff pastry with an almond frangipane cream folded through is stellar. Straight out of the oven too, this is perfect. It’s Easter, so their creme egg cookie special is also opted for. The creamy centre makes for a delicious treat.

There’s an all day menu, and we order the scrambled eggs, with some add ons; tomato, relish and hash browns. We think the prices here are pretty reasonable too.

Coffee wise, it’s top notch, using Firebird by Marvell St, Byron Bay.

Lovely place. Close to the Tallebudgera campground where we stayed at. Nice atmosphere, great breakfast.

There is no other option around, so they could do it just ok and it would be probably as busy, but they do it really well! Everything we tried so far was fresh and delicious. The fish and chips was very nice and the banoffee muffin was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had! Really, soooo good!

Quick service, lovely trees and comfortable chairs, we had 2 ham cheese croissants, canola fruit, black tea and latte, $41, we had our dog and they look care with water. The food was nice, probably one croissant was enough, they were large and very crispy and fresh. What makes this place very nice is the shade from the trees and plentiful seating. We rode the bikes and bike racks are available.it’s a busy car parking area. #miike2000
