We didn’t make a booking but were seated immediately. All waiters and waitresses were welcoming, polite and gave us world class service.
We dined twice during the week we were in Gold Coast between 21.01.24-27.01.24
The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious.
We would definitely return.
To the staff working on 27.01.24 between 6:20pm and 7:20pm, thank you. You all gave us a wonderful dining experience while we visited the Gold Coast.

We went there for Valentines Day - was a very good idea on our part. I don’t know if the set menu is a normal thing but OMG the food was delicious. The entree consisted of a share plate and then the main was an amazing 12hour slow cooked shoulder of lamb. We could eat less than half of it before we were done. They did let us take the rest home and it made fine sandwiches the next day.
Dessert was once again a share plate with 6 selections.

Firstly the welcome.by the staff is sensational
We didn't book and there wasn't a table ready, so into the bar for complementary drinks to make sure we were settled.

The menu has so much to choose from and the prices look expensive but most are for sharing as well. So please look at some and know it's a share for 2,3 or 4 people

The dishes are not excellent and with minimal wait times at all.

Staff always dropping by for additional drinks or any other condiments

Share billing is part of the service of it's just friends going too.

Can't wait to get back to Surfers and come back!

If you haven't experienced this place you need to put it on your list of must do in the gold coast.
We ordered the tasting experience and though it doesn't look like alot it was more than enough filling for 2 to 4 people.
The beef cheek fell off the fork leaving it so supple and tender.
The slow cooked pork was toffee Chewy like a wholesome toffee of my childhood with flavours beyond words.
I wasn't game to try the buffalo wings, but my partner did and he loved them.
Spicy yet not long lasting.
The salt and pepper squid is the best I've ever had soft supple and melts in your mouth

I mean 100 out of 100.

Had a very nice meal here. The restaurant has an upscale interior and the staff was very helpful and friendly. My wife had the Thai grilled prawns, and I had the beef curry with crispy naan and pickled veggies. Both were delicious.

Our little party of three dined here on a quiet evening and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the warm ambiance and friendly staff. The slow cooked lamb sharing plate was divine. The lamb, accompanied with gravy and a pesto style sauce, fell off the bone and melted in the mouth. The truffle potato mash was an excellent accompaniment and the zucchini chips with aioli were just scrumptious and I’d go back just for a big plate of these on there own. No cocktails served in the restaurant but available in the adjoining bar. Our experience was great and we look forward to going back sometime.

Best beef ever. Incredible food, cooked to perfection. Went here for a birthday dinner and the Bombe Alaska. Thank you for a wonderful night.

Moreton bay bug gnocchi was superb! The service was amazing and the food portions were great! The food is cooked on the flame grill with an open viewing. We will definitely return! Thank you for a great night

What an incredible experience we had at Clifford’s thanks to chef Dan and the staff who made our night.

As soon as we arrived the chef saw we had kids and said “do you want me to get sone food out for the kids straight away” - this is music to parents ears knowing what dining with kids is like!

Within minutes two kids platters arrived! So good.

Then our 5 year old was asked if he would like to come to the kitchen and make his own pizza. Of course he LOVED this and has the best time, making his very own Hawaiian pizza. So cute and such amazing service!!

Immediately we knew we were in for a great evening with such fabulous care taken of the kids.

Then Chef suggested what to order, and wow it was sooo good. He didn’t miss!

We had a range of tapas:
- pork belly (our fave)
- beef cheek (yum)
- arancini with truffle aioli (sooo good)
- seafood salad (scallops & prawns were delicious!)

After our tapas, a huge T-bone steak with a heirloom, beet and whipped feta salad arrived. It was just incredible!

The food was all perfectly cooked and so delicious. Even the kids cleared their plates 🙌🏽

We were so full we couldn’t fit the bomb Alaska, but we’ll save room tonight for that!

Highly recommend Clifford’s for anyone with a family who loves good food and steak!

Friendly staff that create a welcoming atmosphere. I would say the food couldve been better in general but I would still go again. 1kg steak to share and tasting experience in the picture.

Amazing Wagyu rump steak, probably best I've ever had anywhere. General Atmos wouldn't give you the idea how good the food is. Kind of a warehouse style dining room with exposed ducting etc. but plenty of atmosphere in the open kitchen and everything on the plate is delicious. I'm not big on horseradish but would eat their's by itself as well as with their steak and house jus. Excellent service. Thanks 🙏.

Went there for afternoon tea with a Groupon voucher and it was one of the best I've had. The staff were really lovely and helpful, explaining what everything was. The food tasted amazing, with magnificent presentation. Would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Gold Coast.

Clifford’s Grill and Lounge has a great atmosphere. The layout and lighting was perfect, the massive sliding windows are a good thought. The food, oysters with a vinaigrette are worth having, the Middle eastern trio of dips was generous. The tuna and prawn gnocchi was equally as good as all the other dishes. All in all good lunch and we would go back.

And it also looks too good that caused us did not want to touch 😂😂
We just feel regret we don't have time to go back again soon.

We had the tasting experience, we really enjoyed the food although struggled to finish it all as we wanted to save room for the Bombe Alaska which we also shared and well worth it. The service was phenomenal considering the lack of staff. I take my hat off to all of them especially the young lady at front of house for having to work under extreme conditions but never once crumbled, well done. We look forward to returning again to try one of the steaks. All the food smelt, tasted & looked so good. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The prices were also reasonable for the quality, I do recommend trying it out and just relax and enjoy the night and atmosphere.

Fantastic food, we had the t-bone and it was delicious, cooked perfectly with complimentary sauces! The service was truly outstanding with friendly and casual staff.
Atmospheric mood lighting without it being too dark. Would highly recommend, was the perfect finale to our trip to Surfers.

The 1kg T-bone steak is fantastic and great value. The salad it came with was really tasty. Will definitely come again.

That five burner grill is certainly put into good use. Watch these guys expertly grill ample sized cuts of meat, seasoned to perfection. Their portions are generous and the meals cooked and presented 💯💯 . We were serviced by two different waitresses who were exceptional and attentive. They are a busy place, book in advance. Bar area avail. The price is fair given the quality and size of the meals. You won't leave hungry. Yep, the bombe alaska is to die. Share amongst friends recommended .
