GOLD COAST HAND THERAPY

This place is incredible! I’ve been seeing Taryn at Gold Coast Hand Therapy at Robina regularly for the past 8 months since fracturing bones in my hand in a car accident. It’s hard to put in words how amazing the care is that I’ve received at each and every appointment. Taryn has been incredibly understanding and kind as I dealt with all the emotions during my recovery from the injuries and subsequent surgeries. No matter how low I felt at the beginning of an appointment I would always leave feeling better - physically and emotionally. She is incredibly professional and so competent with the medical side of things - making splints, cleaning the wounds, removing stitches, teaching rehab exercises etc etc. I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough! It is a shining light in the medical field! Thank you for helping me so much during my recovery. I will be forever grateful. 🙏 PS every single person at the clinic is incredible, from the other therapists, right down to the way you are treated by Liz at reception.

I had a very positive experience here. I saw Brooke for Ulna Nerve treatment. Before seeing her I had 3 months of pain and loss of strength/mobility in my ring and pinky fingers after a minor hand injury. I had many scans and xrays which all came up clear. After 1 session and 2 weeks of prescribed exercises from Brooke, I have started to see significant improvements to the point where I feel like I'm almost completely healed. My pinky is now able to extend an extra cm and is almost back to full strength. I am extending as far as I can in both photos. I hope this review helps some other people find relief and success.

Shanna is the best hand therapist I’ve ever experienced. The GCHT team are very professional and attentive to their clients needs. My husband Brad and I had a car accident and Shanna and all the other therapists at this clinic have treated us with kindness, support, compassion and have always been happy in manner. The reception staff have also always been obliging with appointments and rescheduling when needed. I would recommend them as my first choice every time.

The whole GC hand therapy team in Robina is amazing! Tayla (hand therapist) was so professional, friendly and caring! My wrist feels much better and I was able to go back to work/gym earlier than expected thanks to Tayla. Highly recommend!

Amy & Tayla have been fantastic in my road to recovery from an rsi work injury Tenosynovitis in both hands. Appointments have been easy to make, the therapists knowledge, care, attention to detail to relieve discomfort and pain have been faultless. I highly recommend this clinic.

Highly recommend going here to get your injured paw checked (asap) and get the correct splints and exercises required for a full recovery. I have been twice now for injured thumbs due to sporting injuries and each time the splints have allowed me to carry on with life while getting the thumb to set and heal in the correct position.

Hand therapy at Robina is wonderful, friendly staff and great recovery after surgery, every step is manageable and rewarding, highly recommended.

Be careful of the hidden costs. The piece of fabric fluff in the picture I didn’t ask for as was charged nearly $6 for. Both splints were over $20 each. I wrongly expected that given no manual therapy is done your first splint would be included in the 90$ appointment cost. But alas it’s not. Then tyou are told “I’ll make you a 2nd brace/ I’ll give you this piece of fabric” but don’t get told they cost extra and you’re already paying for the 1st. Glad I told them I didn’t need tape when offered. So it’s a 90$ taping class + add ons = $140+. Was pressured to make follow up mid way through appointment “will we check if it’s healing healed then” I asked “no it’s just to check your skin is not infected”… surely I can do that at a doctor and skip the 90$ fee plus get a prescription if needed, rather than pay that and get told to go to the dr anyway. I canceled the follow up shortly after the appointment and was then receiving calls the week I was meant to come in to again request I call back to schedule a skin check. Replied via email this time to express my thoughts on the dishonest add on costs and the pressured follow ups - you’d think that piece of fluff came off a space shuttle the way they described it in the reply. They didn’t however answer my only question which was; if you were in my shoes, would you pay 90$ to see a physiotherapist about a skin condition you don’t have to to be told to visit a doctor and get medication if needed or would you go straight to the doctor for free. We both know the answer.

Can’t even get a call back after several attempts to get the X-ray diagnosis and book in sessions for a potential treatment plan. Really nice staff but overall a really poor experience.
