Went to Mt gambier hospital for day surgery. All the staff from front desk to anaesthetist to Dr Mculloch,and all the nurses and staff were fantastic. There were a couple of child patients there, and all the staff were going out of their way to make those children feel relaxed 😌and comfortable. Thanks to everyone. Great work. I hope south Australian government give them the support they deserve 👍

Had the best experience ever. Nursing staff, Doctors and general staff were amazing. Very professional in every way. Could not fault anything.

I couldn't be happier with the service I was provided with. I recently had some relatively minor Day Surgery and after reading a series of negative reviews about the Mt Gambier Hospital I was both nervous and concerned about what to expect, should I cancel and move my procedure to another hospital? I was very pleasantly surprised with the fantastic staff and their care and concern during my short stay. It was a really bust day for surgery on that day and the staff, Nurses and visiting Surgeons & Specialists all worked brilliantly together under pressure and I felt very safe and well looked after. I understand that each day is different but I'm sure a little respect and patience on both sides of the fence really does make a difference. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

This is one lovely hospital. Great staff and heaps of parking available all day. Caring nurses, I love this hospital because of the nurses in the maternity and neonatal ward 😍😍

Can't believe the amount of poor reviews people have left here, I'm at the hospital frequently for infusions and have always had positive experiences. I was in ED a few months back and was tended to promptly and the nurse practitioner was very caring and kind. I had a number of tests done and an xray and was out again within a few hours. Thank you MGH

It seems that most of the negative reviews about the Mount Gambier hospital are related to the emergency department, a situation common to hospitals worldwide, not a specific deficiency at Mt Gambier.
I had a knee arthroscopy in day surgery yesterday (27/04), and was very VERY pleased with every aspect of my time there, from the ladies checking for Covid at the entrance, to the cleaners in the corridors, right through to my discharge. Receptionists, nurses, anaethetists, the excellent surgeon, the whole lot of 'em were beyond doubt damn good at their jobs.
I'm 72, live in the bush, and this was my first hospital experience in Australia, and I was certainly not disappointed.

I was very far from home and scared. Suffering from extreme tooth pains and mount gambier hospital staff helped me so much. Good practice and beautiful people. Helped me physically and emotionally and helped me get all the way home to northern n.s.w. I won't forget the kindness I was shown and I hope I get the chance to come back here one day on good terms. 11/10 and thank you again mount gambier staff <3 saved me

Don't often need to go to hospital thankfully.
But the doctors and nurses come across as very committed to their jobs despite the dramas they have to deal with and for this I give them 5 stars.

For PCR testing, they're really good here especially if you have young children or kids with special needs.
