Sorrentos Cafe

We were probably the only ones in the restaurant on a rainy Saturday night. Chris was very generous and when my pasta was made with cheese in error - he got it remade and customised it as per my taste and liking, and all this with a smile! The service was prompt, we ordered pasta, chicken risotto, steak and packed some takeaway burger and fries. Everything was delicious. The cocktails were good too. They have a happy hours on cocktails on Fridays (which we missed). Will come back again when visiting Mount Gambier.

Second visit to Mt. Gambier, decided to revisit the old memory of this magnificent place. They wouldn’t fail to surprise you even on a Public Holiday.

We arrived at Mount Gambier and choose this restaurant due to the great reviews. The restaurant lived up to the reviews. There are two sections of the restaurant the courtyard and the dining.

We sat in the courtyard where there was live music being played (the music was great to listen to as you enjoy your meal).
There is a kid's menu so the kids tried the pizza and penne Bolognese which they enjoyed and finished.

My husband had the black Angus rump which he said was delicious. I had the pumpkin and pesto risotto which I can recommend if you like risotto.

The staff were friendly and around to take orders or answer questions when needed.

The location of the café is great too, it is across the road from the cave garden which we were able to explore after dinner.

If you are after a nice meal in town I do recommend Sorrento's Café.

Wonderful place relaxing excellent service very friendly couldn’t ask for beta. Had breaky there unreal meals and drink anyone want breaky or lunch or dinner this is the place to have it. Rate this place number 1🤠❤

Update: Best eggs and service. Upgraded to 5 stars. Staff are attentive, atmosphere is calm and food is excellent.. a minor request was no problem for chef and results were top flight.
: Family breakfast winner. Pancakes & milkshakes for kids were a winner and Eggs Benedict were just right. Highly recommend this venue for meals at reasonable prices, served by friendly staff in comfy surroundings.

Service - Could be improved, but not complaining much because the hospitality industry is badly affected with shortage of staff and so they could be overworked.

Went there on Friday night great atmosphere with the live music, I'm usually never one to complain but my steak was definitely overcooked but the very nice and friendly waiter Chris fixed it up it was perfect second time round

the food and drink options here were plentiful, and all the dishes we ordered were delicious. lovely waiters didn't hesitate to answer our questions and overall loved the atmosphere. i would recommend this place to anyone at any time, as the all day menu is brilliant.

We all ordered the sirloin and none of us were disappointed. The chef must be commended on how the steak was cooked, we loved our meal. Many thanks!

Had the beef cheek and it was amazing. Nice place, with nice staff, very reasonably priced and nice atmosphere with fast service. Will be definitely coming back to try their breakfast menu. Partner had the supreme pizza. Excellent also.

Very friendly customer service. Ladies were lovely. Plus food came out on time. Also they were open on Easter Sunday.

3 of us went for breakfast and coffee. All of our meals arrived in a timely manner. The meals portions were a good size and very reasonably priced. Plenty of GF and vegan/vegetarian options available. The coffee was excellent as were the meals. The staff were friendly and great to deal with. The restaurant was clean and very well presented. I can't fault our experience. We will be back. Thank you
