Older style Chinese restaurant at its best! Good food, well prices, excellent services, and smiles are Free ( and prawn chips). Extensive menu to choose, I think its one of the few 'better ' ones left in Sydney. I do recommend this place for family gathering, you can try more yummy dishes. I am Dave and I love qood quality food, I only live Once. Enjoy!

Fantastic “old school” Chinese restaurant that is an icon in the area. Feels just like being back in the 80’s with friendly service, all the traditional favourite dishes and fast service. Great place to bring the family or a large group. Large round tables have lazy susans or smaller booths for more intimate groups. Consistently good food & service.

The first time that I visited the Choyan was about 38 years ago. It had a name for good quality food and service back then and nothing has changed.
The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Whether you are looking for a quiet dinner for two, or a banquet for ten, this is the place to come.
We had one of the chef's specials, salt an pepper mixed seafood, honey king prawns and chilli fillet steak. All of which had generous servings and were full of flavour. The honey king prawns were the best we had had in quite a while.

Authentic Cantonese cooking. The staff here are very attentive and informative. The food is very tasty without being oily and salty. Will definitely come here to eat again.

Great Chinese food in a family-friendly atmosphere, and for a reasonable price. Large range of dishes too, and friendly service 🙂. They open until 9:30pm on weeknights, and later on weekends.

Wonderful service by the waiters and very attentive. The Chinese cuisine served here is delicious and authentic. Definitely a restaurant I will keep going back to. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food you receive. Everyone left with a full stomach and enjoyed all the food.

Love this restaurant. Being coming for years since the girls were small. Went there tonight for our low key 25th wedding anniversary. Everything served with a smile and the food was great. Thank you Choyan!

Excellent, personable customer service! Very nice and very experienced wait staff. They were accommodating to me when I asked for tomato rice with the crispy skin chicken too. Definitely want to come back here!

We go for our birthday dinners and other family celebrations. The restaurant has been here for a long time as I ate there with my parents so is a north shore institution. The food is always good, friendly service at an affordable price. Enjoy!

I can 100% say out of all the Chinese restaurants I've been to this place is by far the best. Amazing and very friendly staff that cater for your every need, lovely interior Chinese design and sitting booths (who doesn't love a booth). But the food, I cannot rave enough about the food. Beautiful aromas and a huge variety of chinese quisine all cooked to perfection in delicious and succulent sauces. I would by far recommend their Mongolian Lamb. You honestly won't find better. 10/10 just brilliant!

Great service from the wait staff, very good value for money. Very considerate with the disabled chairlift on their stairs, and i live the unlimited prawn crackers that the nice old man was serving us while we waited for our meals.

Beautiful food and lovely staff with great service. Made such a special effort with my 3 year old son and spent time talking to my teenage daughter who is learning chinese.. Thanks for a lovely nice.

Fast service, friendly and generous staff, slightly more expensive than most places, but it's worth it for the quality of food.
I have yet to find better Mongolian Lamb in Australia.
