Thank you for being so caring with me while doing my hair. I came for braiding and also ended up with an unintentional therapy session. I’m very pleased with the result and will be coming back. Highly recommend this salon for hairdressers who care about more than just doing your hair.

I was recommended here by a friend and I also recommend this place. The guys here are amazing and so much fun. I loved my experience and beautiful knotless braids, mostly done by Ama and Dipi. I'll be coming back, plus I'm likely to become a regular now that I've found a dooope place in Sydney for Afro hair-care and styling. Feeling so purdy. Thank you :)

Salon De African Pride is hands down the best place in Sydney get your braids and cornrows done. I've come here 3/4 times and have never left disappointed and always have a good chat with the staff I love this place and can't wait too be back soon

Mr boss man fixed me up a deadly short hair cut, I had made a mistake cutting my own hair and was afraid to get it fixed I was willing to pay 200 for it but was glad i took a stroll down Newtown where I was greeted in the shop by three beautiful lovely ladies who booked me an appointment right then and there. They were funny and made me feel so welcome. I just want to let Mr Boss Man and they three ladies know I will be coming back again loved the experience and most of all I LOVE THE CUT SO MUCH!! <3 thank you all.

They did my hair for my 50th birthday and everyone was blown away. It looked incredible. These women are so talented.

I have been attending this Salon for nearly twenty years now . I am extremely happy with the knowledge and professionalism shown to me over the years I have also taken a few of my friends here as well that wanted to get dreads and they too couldn't be happier with the outcome. The staff really take their time to achieve the perfect dreads and get them right , from the start so they can grow and mature and last, in a great style yet still look completely natural even and perfect. I ve had dreads for over 23 years of my life . These guys are the best. The also do all manner of other styles braid corn rows extensions . 5 STARS. Brilliant service highly experienced and happy to give friendly advice on how to go about your chosen style, with whatever hair type you have. They have expert advice on different products that are available for all hair types, which is very important for starter baby dreads to get established. I wouldn't go anywhere else now and so glad I found this place years ago its been owned be the same people for the whole time and they definitely take pride in their work and standing as the best dreadlock shop in Sydney

They are fantastic having done cornrows for my foster grand daughter aged 3.

I had my hair braided once and it was good, I've gone back every 2 weeks for French braids. The staff are so friendly and bubbly. I've had nothing but the best experiences there. They braid hair so well! My chosen style normally at other places lasts 1 week or so. At Salon De African Pride, my French braids can last up to 3 weeks. Their work is super neat, meticulous and looks great. People stop me and comment on it. Highly recommend!

5 stars all the way! Chika and Hannah were so amazing with our daughter yesterday. They made her feel like a queen and really looked after us. They helped us understand how to best care for her hair and took the time to be gentle and understanding to her situation. We will be back and she is such a happy little girl! I had my hair done last week box braid style. I was reluctant to get it done as i had heard many horror stories about braids being excruciating. I voiced my concerns and was assured that the styling would be gentle.

5 days later, i am in absolutely no pain and so in love with my hair! Everywhere i go, people stop and comment on my hair, or ask me where i got it done.

The staff are phenomenal! Patient, genuine, and very easy to talk to!!! They truly value each customer, and the service is flawless! I have booked again already for maintenance and will recommend this place to everyone!!! Very happy :)

Since cutting my hair short and it never really growing back I've had to get weave extensions which most hairdressers don't do ?
I've been getting this done now for over 5 years and moved to Sydney 2 years ago
I've seen a few hair specialist but my weaves would be falling out sooner than they were suppose to!
These ladies know there stuff and the pricing for their AMAZING work is great for a woman like me on a budget
I recommend these guys with 5 stars being a understatement
