Metro Diner Taree

We visited for the second time and absolutely loved it once again. There is a nostalgia of the 80's and the food just takes you back. Every meal tastes great! Highly recommend this Diner and definitely a great place to bring kids.
Forgot to mention, the lemon meringue pie is just something else...

Fantastic American Diner food. Best I've had, better than many Sydney Diners I've been to in many years. Brilliant drinks, hit the spot. Frozen Slushi spiders, milkshakes, good coffee. Gorgeous deserts. Very clean toilets. The entire family thought the food was the best they've had. We've been again after a year and it's still the best true American Diner food at reasonable prices, with good service, for the whole family. A real Gem.

My wife and I went to our usual breakfast whilst on holidays to the Metro Diner in Taree yesterday and this morning, as usual, sensational food, service and atmosphere, spotlessly clean, lovely owners, this Diner is a credit to them for the way it is set out, a lot of thought has gone into making this place Rock n Roll heaven, it is a credit to you. The best music of days gone by playing in the back ground, what more can you ask for. Thank you ONCE again, see you in a few weeks . Mick n Di

One of the best burgers I have ever had lovely service

Loved it. Nice decorations. Friendly staff. The food was very much fitting the diner brief and super tasty. My Works Burger was sensational. The chips were super nice as well. Would definitely visit again.

We are road tripping and looking for somewhere open at 2:30pm. We walked in 15 minutes before closing to grab takeaway and staff were so lovely. Even filled up our water bottles with cold water. Food was amazing. Steak sandwiches made to perfection

We had lunch there today just a plain hamburger and milkshake. My God it was so good an old fashioned burger that tasted amazing . The patty was not too thick the lettuce firm and crunchy tomato was fresh and the beetroot was great. We haven't been able to find a burger this good for years. Did I mention milkshakes. Absolutely divine plenty of flavour and icy cold . Overall a great lunch.

Nice local diner, food was freshly prepared and tasty. Chips are really hot and fresh. We arrived near-ish closing time so they were sold out of roast pork rolls, but kindly fixed me a roast chicken roll instead. Good value for money

I appreciate when folks take the time to create something special for their customers to enjoy.

I will definitely bring my blue swede shoes next time I take my sweetheart out for milkshakes and burgers.

Passed through Taree recently & stopped here for brunch after a google search for cafes with GF (gluten free) options.

Metro Diner did not disapoint! Great service, funky decor & very tasty food with lots of allergen friendly options 🙂

Especially the strawberry smoothie as recommended by the owner!

We got there just before closing - midway through our lengthy drive - the staff were happy to take our order - it was delicious and the coffee was - prices were great - thank you so much we are now energized for the reminder of our journey

I'm thoroughly impressed with everything about this cafe! The atmosphere, the cleanliness, the incredible prices, great sized (and DELICIOUS) meals and drinks, quickly made meals, quick and friendly service and good selection!

Great old school car and milk bar theming Cafe but the food is even better. Best Egg & Bacon Rolls in Taree (Family & Friends verified official survey). Kim, James and Team do a great job serving all of the locals and know everyone by first name! Coffee is Terrific too. Open early. Drop in and have a great visit F & B and atmosphere….
