If you're like looking for great value at a cheap price, this is the place to go.

I've been to a many of places similar to this corner restaurant where variety is much, and never have I ever seen a place such like this one where they give you your food and it's so packed the box won't even close properly and for there to be at least some sort of decorum they must acquire the assistance of tape to shut the container.

You would assume for such great quantity at the price you payed for it, the quality in turn would be at least a 2 out of 10, but I would say it was a reasonable 7.

Positives:

The rotisserie chicken was of similar quality to a hot chook from IGA (which arguably supplies the best hot chook out of any supermarket franchise in Australia)

The Greek salad with dressing was supplied with all essentials that satisfy for this classic and the pumpkin was simply cooked perfectly.

It's hard to find a hot chip that consists of the following elements:

1. Crispy outside
2. Fluffy inside
3. Evenly distributed flavouring

These may be perceived as simple elements to satisfy but you come to learn a good chip comes along in your life pretty rarely, these chips satisfied everything.

Negatives:

the southern fried chicken was nearly as tasty as KFC, however not fresh, the coating was oily leaving a soggy texture; and the creamy potato contained a bit to much garlic.

Final Thoughts:

A business's ultimate goal when it comes to there customers is to achieve a factor of returnablity through an effort of great service and a good quality product.

It is safe to say I would return again, very well done to Freshie chickens.

Portuguese chicken burger is a winner with cheese. And the chips are really good, plenty of salt and crunchies. Good sized portions for money. Their fast with your order. Great for take out night.

At first I was a little threatened when my partner suggest freshies. I thought the chicken on the logo had a threatening aura.

However everything changed once I walked in the goldens gates of the establishment. The menu was so vast for a chicken shop and everything looked so damn yum.

The portion size was very generous and the flavour was like watching one of those old shapes ads.

Bonus points to the lady reading the numbers, as despite it being busy and loud she was able to project her voice sufficiently to ensure all received succulent chicken.

Best place to grab a cheap bite at Freshwater! Tried their burgers and chips! Always delicious!

Good quality chicken, the burgers are all always spot on and plenty salad choices. Don't usually wait long for food and local staff very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The Portuguese chicken burger is magnificent and I will keep coming back for it.

Fresh and delicious just like their name. Prices have gone up post-covid but taste is still the same. Pro tip: Portugese burger with peri-peri sauce is the pick of them all.

We love Freshie Chickens. Great food. The Burgers are so good. Chips and gravy are yum! Seafood salad is one of the best.
Staff are incredibly friendly and fast

This place is an absolute gem. Portuguese combo with chilli is the stand out on the menu. But don't look past the schnitzel or tandoori burgers.

Perfect stop off after a day on the beach.

Make sure you don't get ripped off by the small boutique booze and burger joint a couple of doors down. Small burgers and very expensive.

While I was staying down in Sydney I went to this place almost daily. Nice selection of salads & vegetables. Was refreshing to find a place which was almost as good as a home cooked meal & at a very reasonable price to. Highlt recommend 🙏😊😋

If we are headed to freshwater beach the first thing that comes to mind is a Portuguese burger from freshie burgers! This place is my all time favorite local burger joint. Fresh chicken's, fresh salads! Quick and easy staff are friendly and its close to the beach! Be sure to try the Portuguese chicken burger and add avocado for an extra amazing hit!

I like the chicken and salads but in today's world cash only payments are just not good customer service. Almost all popup shops on market day in Manly have electronic transaction terminals and so should this shop. Update: at last electronic payments have arrived!
