We had a lot of fun with the kids catching the train along the jetty and visiting the observatory. The 45 minutes in the observatory is easily filled if you have an interest in the history and the sea life. The guides were knowledgeable and professional.

We Visited the Busselton Jetty & Underwater Observatory today and had a great time. We paid for the Jetty train 🚂 both there and back and it was great a lot to lean the history about the area and jetty.
We also were very fortunate to see the Geographe Bay Yachts during there race week, sailing through the beautiful bay.
The Underwater Observatory was amazing nice clear/calm water plenty of fish seen and amazing coral structures on the old jetty pontoons.

Was not expecting this to be so good! Fantastic to be under the jetty viewing so much wild sealife. The train was slow, but worth doing to get there.

Amazing expérience. If you haven't dived or snorkelled before this is the closest you can get from a natural underwater experience to my opinion. So many little fish to see and so many coloures. It is a bit short if you really want to take time to watch everything around and try to find a specifique fish. Staff are very friendly and the guide answers every question if needed

One of the best things is, is that the train is wheelchair accessible (let them know at time of booking) and there is a lift to get you under the sea. Wonderful that the jetty was saved by the community and still relies heavily on volunteers. An Icon of Mandurah.

Very well put together and operated by great people. Utmost attention to care and safety.
Very impressive work completed to have the underwater observatory in operation.
Incredible marine life visible plus well described by the tour guide. Excellent system in place to listen to the sub sea sounds created by life.

One of the six natural aquarium in the world. Not a lot to see but mesmerised anyway. Prepurchase tickets as it can be booked out if you want to book the tour with train ride. We visited on a Wednesday in November and when we looked in the morning only slots from 12pm onwards were available.

I love aquariums and this is one of the only six natural aquariums in the world so worth a visit just for that uniqueness alone. Their history of how they build the place is very interesting as well.

The Busselton Underwater Observatory exceeded expectations, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the marine world beneath the jetty.
The crystal-clear waters provided an unparalleled view of an array of colorful fish, intricate coral, and other fascinating sea creatures.
The observatory's knowledgeable guides added depth to the experience, offering insights into the ecosystem and its conservation.
The well-maintained facilities and interactive displays enhanced the educational value. Despite being a popular attraction,
the staff managed crowds efficiently.
A must-visit for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a unique underwater adventure.

My partner and I booked a mini self tour for $24 and thought it was great. We walked out along the jetty which took about 20m but there is alot to look at and read along the way it was a bit windy but as to be expected 1.8km out in the ocean. The 15min self tour down in the observatory was enough for us. Loved sitting down the bottom knowing your sitting 8m deep on the ocean floor. Just gives you this completely different perspective

Book in advance for the train ride and visit to the underwater observatory. Walkable distance to the observatory, but can be punishing under hot weather conditions. Underwater observatory was a good visit and escape from the sun, well explained too. The Underwater view is strangely captivating and very calming.
